Transformers Movie has updated their site to include the winning lines from the Make Optimus Prime Speak competition of a few months back. These are now voiced by Peter Cullen, the actor who voiced the great character in the original Transformers cartoon and will voice the Autobot leader in the upcoming Michael Bay movie.

To listen to these lines, go to the main page of the site and click on the link underneath the planet cybertron.

In a related story,... Snarlaboo, a member of the Don Murphy Board (which are also known as Stooges), also received a thank you letter from Peter Cullen offering to thank the fans for their support. The following has been taken directly from the post on the DM board.

"Dear Dave,

I thank you for the Stooges shirt, all all who contributed. Yet there is more than just thank you, for I have deep appreciation and grateful feeling for all of you. To know that after all these many years, you care, leaves me quietly humbled.
There is more however. In your acceptance of Optimus Prime, all of you share with me a mutual respect for what we think a hero should be. That simple bond ties a multitude of meanings together. Of hope, respect, integrity, honor and courage. I am proud to be one of you.
Honorary Stooge. It sounds somewhat odd, but I understand the significance and lighthearted intention. I suppose Curly, Moe, Shemp or Larry is in all of us sometimes, and reminds us not to take life too seriously.

Please send alond my gratitude to Robert Scott, Billy Edwards, Nancy Smythe, Nadja Tegen, Miles Ritchings, Albert Lee, Drew Early, Perter Verdi, Mike Holdcroft, Brian Leichtnam, Kev Johnson, Ollie Hurd and Matt Noades.

There is quite a lot of activity here in Hollywood. Sightings of car chases in the valley, and dry river beds filled with Transformer activity. I can only imagine the emmense work that Michael Bay is accomplishing. He is a gifted and talented man, and judging from the way he treated me in our couple of meetings, I am poised with confidence and eager anticipation to work with him.
I recieve some feedback from some internet hounds, and learn of your enthusiasm and continued support. I share the same hopes for dear friends Frank Welker to join the team, and bring full circle the ultimate dream. "Hold onto your dreams, The future is built on dreams".
I sometimes dream of restoring an old Freightliner, and painting it up like Optimus Prime, to drive among the hills and dirt roads of my liitle town. Perhaps I will. You have all certainly inspired me to do such things.
Well Dave and friends, "Till all are one." I remain your indebted friend, and keep you all in my thoughts as we count down to what I believe will be more than meets the eye!

A proud honorary Stooge,
Peter Cullen

John Rogers, who wrote the original draft of the script to the 2007 Transformers Movie, has made some comments about being involved with the movie on his blog. In response to questions left on his announcement of the Transformers Teaser Trailer earlier this week, the writer had the following to say.

"Those aren't final credits, we still have to arbitrate. I'd moved on to SHIBUMI pretty fast after my draft, when Michael Bay came on the ISLAND guys (nice guys, btw) came with him.

Ever since the early 90's there are rules about how many writers can actually get credit. That said, There were probably about ten active writers on CATWOMAN when all was said and done, and ironically the people who had the least amount of text in the script got the screen credits.(My contribution, as far as I know, was the gist of one scene, and one joke) Sucky movie, but hey, the residuals were okay. Makes getting hosed on MONTE CRISTO a little easier.

As far as this movie, from what I've seen most of the human characters are either the same or similar, the main plot structure's the same, and a lot of the "how the Transformers work in our world" stuff is identical (why they look like earth vehicles, the proto-form, what they're here for, etc.) There's on main structural difference, and a chunk of different dialogue, but it's about half and half".

"As the official geek on the team, I was the one in charge of making sure that while there were spiffy human characters, that the Transformers were picked for their personalities, and that said personalities matched their animated tradition. For me, this was always a "Lost Patrol" movie, except the American soldiers are the Transformers, and the villagers with sticks are the humans. Trust me, mucho Transformer character work".

Micheal Bay Forum member Nelson made a post today about the new Transformers Trailer beating the all time download record. Here is what he had to say.

"In the coming days, I think the official TF site will post a trailer with Peter Cullen's voice that was made/edited by a fan. Just to be clear, the edit is not official.

On a side note, studio sources report that the all-time trailer download record was broken today by the TF teaser. It beat Spider Man 3 by a landslide. Just though you would like to know."

After the online release of the teaser for Transformers Movie, as reported earlier today, the website to the movie has been totally revamped to feature what appears to be a movie version of Cybertron. The interactive menu features excerpt clips from the video webcast Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman did back in August, split into the questions they had anwered. Many of the options seem now to be ready for use apart from the fact they still need to be filled (like the fanart option) at this time.

Warning: The new website design is done in HD quality. The video transitions may run poorly on slower computers. All the features should still work and can be accessed through the menu bar on the top right corner as well.
