A Different Movie Trailer Attached to Shrek the Third?

The people over at Firstshowing have posted an article regarding the new Transformers trailer.

According to Alex Billington of First Showing the trailer attached to Shrek the Third is different from the US trailer and from the International version.

This trailer is apparently another international trailer. Although there is no online version of this trailer, First Showing has listed the differences.

Here's the major changes I can remember:

» It was a lot more flashy, with more quick shots of all kinds of Transformers. It cut a lot of the longer scenes in the other trailer and was much more flashy and quick.

» There was more with Blackout (the helicopter) fighting at the base and then showing Scorponok jump off his back and into the ground (part of the scene I saw at ShoWest).

» It showed a bit of Optimus Prime on the side of a building jumping off in mid-air during a fight (reminded me of Spider-Man 2).

» It had the little Transformer guy under the seat that's been in the TV spots (with that same scene).

» There was an awesome scene where Optimus Prime was driving in truck from and I guess got T-boned from the side and then the truck starts rolling on its side and coming towards the camera then you see it start to transform in mid-air as it flies into the camera.

» There was another bit from a scene at ShoWest where Optimus is at Shia's house and he has told them to hide from his parents, and his dad is walking down a hall and you can see Optimus through a window outside and right as his dad turns to look (cause he “thought" he saw something), Optimus darts away from the window out of sight. It also does have the same ending bit from the international trailer.

» The fight where Bonecrusher skates up into the bus and breaks it in half, in this new trailer, it cuts right before he event hits the bus and goes to some other scene (and doesn't show the rest of that fight). It also never shows the part where the army has captured Bumblebee on the highway and Shia is yelling at him, I think. But it does show the part where Megan Fox says “I'll drive, you shoot" and scenes with Bumblebee shooting off the back.

» There's no “Bring It!" from Tyrese Gibson anymore, and Starscream (the plane) only does his transformation in-flight once (where he does it twice in this trailer).

» The first 30 seconds are pretty much the same, the intro with Shia getting his car, but then when it gets into the montage and for the last minute it's completely different sets of scenes and new footage! I first noticed it was way different when it didn't show the fireball from space hit the stadium…

In a move that might have been geared toward those of us who are G1 nuts, it seems that somebody made an almost last minute change with the eyes of the Transformers. It appears that somebody updated the eyes to be faction specific like they were in the G1 cartoon. Red eyes for Decepticons and blue eyes for Autobots. Here are some screen captures from the trailer released today to demonstrate that the eye colors are now faction specific, which they weren't in previous trailers and images.

Can someone from the official movie camp confirm or deny this change?

Our own Shinobi Rendar has brought to our attention a new message posted by Michael Bay on his site Shootfortheedit.com. Here is what Shinobi Rendar reported:

"Hey, i want to thank everyone for the kind words on the trailer. I'm so used to seeing robots I kind of got bored with the trailer. I forget you have not seen them. When they put the piece together I kept wanting to show our truly awesome shots - but we didn't. I can without a doubt say we have just teased you on this trailer. We have so many awesome shots that will never be in our ads. I bet this will be one of the rare trailers that does not show you the true money shots of the movie.

I would also like fans opinion on opening on July 3rd instead of the 4th. The studio kind of sort of is thinking about which might mean "no". If you spread the word on the Net - they might listen. The 3rd everyone is off from work, I say "what the fuck" play the movie - "give'em giant fucking robot early"!!!
Bay"

Let's push for July 3rd people

Our own Devil Gundam has brought the following information to our attention:

"Sector 7 now has a new password seen in the new trailer, codeblack. The site has a new video of Gravesen briefing Simmons and audio and image files. There are images of anti Sector Seven websites and audio files. While I have not yet listened to the files they are filed under "Annoyance" and could be from Agent X.

There are also two new NBE videos, one of a cassette that turns into what looks like Booster X10 and a Volkswagen beetle transforming and walking over a car in a parking garage.

Fellow Seibertronian lester_ninja has picked up Transformers Movie Voyager Class Blackout and Ratchet figures at his local Wal-Mart in Abbotsford, BC. This could be just another one of those "opps" store releases, or they could be on shelves in many stores. Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for updates and be sure to post your sightings in the Sightings Section.

Here is what lester_ninja had to say about his purchase.

Since the deluxe figures are getting this early release I stopped by the local Wal-Mart in Abbotsford, BC to see if there were any on the shelves.

They did not have any deluxe figures but there was 3 Voyager class figures. 2 Blackout's and a Ratchet.

I was ecstatic. Picked up 1 of each. There was also the optimus blaster thing and a FAB Jazz.
