The official
Transformers Collectors' Club has sent out the following update regarding the shipping status of the 2012 exclusives Over-Run and Shatter Glass Drift. See below:

This email is going out to all members.
If you did not have an order or have received your order for Over-Run and Drift, please disregard this email.
Here is the latest update on Over-Run and Drift's shipping schedules. Our original order was split into two shipments in China. The first shipment came in the early part of February. The remaining items are coming with the BotCon sets and is on the water now.
We anticipate that the second shipment will arrive here around the first/second week of April. At that time we will finish shipping the remaining orders. The shipments have gone out in the sequence that they were ordered. If your invoice number is higher than 62851 your items will come in a few weeks. We appreciate your patience. If your invoice number is 62851 or lower, your shipment is on its way.
We could have held all the orders until the entire shipment was here, but we felt that it was important to get as many orders out the door as possible and into your hands.
Thanks for your support!
Brian

The 3rd party movement has grown dramatically over the past few years. From small accessory upgrades, to massive and costly combiners. In years past, 3rd party toy manufacturers have held significant presence at the annual Official Transformers Convention, Botcon. Not this year. It has been officially stated that dealers are not to sell any unlicensed Transformers related product in Dallas TX this year. From the dealer contract:
Promoter and its designees, including Hasbro, Inc., each reserves the right to ban or deny display of any item for any reason. Promoter and its designees, including Hasbro, Inc., each reserves the right to confiscate any items that violates these rules and regulations. Exhibitor agrees to permit such confiscation without incident and agrees that all confiscated items shall become the property of Promoter or its designee and may be turned over to the appropriate authorities. Exhibitor herby [sic] waives and all claims against the Promotor [sic] or Hasbro, Inc. with respect to any removal of person or confiscation of items.
TFCC:
From our understanding, just want to reiterate what you have gotten in email responses from us...
As long as it is official Hasbro OR TakaraTomy product then they are official products. They can also sell officially Licensed TF goods from Hasbro or TT.
If it's either made by Hasbro or TakaraTomy it is officially licensed by Hasbro or TakaraTomy, anything else is a knock off or an unofficially licenced good.
So. To be 100% clear... Licensed Transformers either from Hasbro or Takara Tomy are fine. Licensed Sci-Fi related toys from other companies is fine as well. However, again, anything that violates Hasbro IP should not be brought to BotCon.
I am afraid that details will not be provided. There are SO many 3rd party items, no one is going to provide a list of what is acceptable "unlicensed" toys.
If it is unlicensed, assume it is unacceptable. Just about every 3rd party piece somehow draws on Hasbro IP, so, if you think it may in any way infringe on Hasbro's IP odds are they DO consider it an infringement.
The language they provided for our contract is the warning. Just don't bring the stuff to the show.
BotCon has had amazing Exhibitor Halls for almost 20 years, MANY of those LONG before all of these IP infringing items hit the market. I am sure it will still be an amazing Hall this year and for many years to come!
We were also advised to expect an official statement on this matter soon.
If you have any questions regarding the sale of item you should contact Fun Publications at
info@funpubinc.com or click here to view the Information provided by Botcon.com by clicking
here.
We will continue to update you on this development as more information becomes available.

Also posted on Planet Iacon's Facebook page today is a surprise image of Botcon 2012 Exclusive Shattered Glass Optimus Prime. Or so we assume based on the color scheme. This SG Prime is delivered via the Transformers Reveal the Shield G2 Prime. It has not been indicated of this will be an Exclusive add-on figure or this year's freebie. Check out the image below or click

Third-party accessory maker
Beezleboss have updated their blog with a teaser image of their next project, Throttlebots! The teaser image below reveals concept art for
Chase and
Searchlight. Like their previous "Devil Horns" upgrade for
Classics Cliffjumper and their forthcoming "Growing Pains" upgrade for
United Bumblebee, these kits appear to be designed around the
Classics Bumblebee mold. However, the only figures that come molded in the correct colors are
Classics Cliffjumper and
BotCon Bugbite.

Earlier this morning, I received an answer back from Pete at the Transformers Collectors' Club who clarified my questions about the "mix-up" with the gun/weapon accessories included with Shattered Glass Drift. Here's what he had to say:
This appears to be a running issue with the factory. Since the guns are not actually suppose to come with the Drift mold (at retail) it looks like many toys, if not all, just received whichever two guns were selected when they were packed out. I understand that it is a technicality, but all we said was he would come with two guns. While we would have thought they would have come with a left and right gun, the factory did not seem to think it was necessary, and these are how these were packed out...
So, to clarify, we are not changing how the toy was intended. The toy was intended to have two swords which can be stored in the doors and two additional guns included as additional accessories, and ones that were never meant to come with this mold.
All that said, after all the product is shipped out and all figure defects (missing arms, broken pieces on the figure) are addressed, we may be able to come back to this depending on how many issues are out there. The easiest solution may be for people to bring to BotCon and exchange there. Perhaps we designate a Drift gun swap at the info booth.
For now though, we can't take any exchanges...
