An apology to our listeners and Fun Publications for our use of harsh language in our previous podcast's discussion about the Transformers Club, a clarification of our opinions, and a restatement of our views regarding the situation.
Fellow Seibertronian Matt Moylan has updated his precious Lilformers.com website with new information, more art and the addition of a story segment titled Dreamslaves. The new Dreamslaves will be a series of quirky incidents that occurred during Matt's time with the ill fated Dreamwave comics and his work on the Transformers series they handled. Dreamslaves #1: Red Alert is a reflection on Matt's time as a graphic designer and production manager, in which he had somehow make Sideswipe fight two enemies on opposites sides of the planet at the same time! How is that possible? Enter Red Alert.
Dreamslaves #2:Artists in Disguise has also been uploaded and this one might shock of few comic fans. At least the naive ones!
Check out the always entertaining and wonderfully talented Matt Moylan's Lilformers site by clicking here.
And if for some reason you have never heard of Matt Moylan OR Lilformers.com, here is his just a smaple Lilformers strip:

Seibertron member Chuckdawg1999 hosts a pod cast about another Hasbro toy property that many of us grew up with. This podcast "What's on Joe Mind" has two episodes that will be of interest to Transformers fans.
This first podcast features an interview from Roll Out Roll Call 3 which features Jim Sorenson talking Transformers and his work in making his Ark books. The Ark Addendum updates from his Disciples of Boltax blog can be found weekly here on Seibertron.com. That podcast can be heard here.
The next podcast episode will be of interest to the G1 cartoon fans which features a pre-recorded interview with Sunbow writer Buzz Dixon. Listen as he talks about continuity between shows, the writers reaction to the public's reaction to the death of Optimus Prime and his attempt to tie-in the My Little Pony universe with the Transformers universe. This podcast can be heard here.
So the online gaming world is getting 2 Transformers titles seperated by world regions. The Asia market has a big website called TF.91.com and it is PACKED with all kind of cool images and videos. The games aesthetics have long since been revealed to be similar to Transformers Prime. Ever wondered how BumbleBee would fare against TF Prime Bruticus? Click here to watch the video and find out! Unfortunately, I only read english and therefore restricted to clicking aimlessly and staring at the pretty images. There are TONS of options for customizing your character. Starting with a base chassis and choosing the actual vehicle is just the first steps. One of 5 classes of weapons can be then be chosen along with dozens of desgins and colors. I have mocked up a small portion of the options in the customization. I hope the Western market sees this level of game development. Check out some pics below, including Defensor and click here to view the site!
Today we have some nice background renderings from Transformers Prime by environmental animator Vince Toyama via his blog, which can be found here. The first image is of Cybertron after their civil war:
This next rendering is the Autobot base design. My Toyama says:
A very complex set that turned out really well. I was hoping that Hasbro would make a toy playset out of this...
I think we would all agree.
Vince Toyama:
I design environments for TV animation. You'll probably notice that my artwork tends to reflect a very architectural approach. That's because I studied architecture in the stone age when T-squares and lead pencils were the tools of the trade. That didn't exactly work out for me, but I've managed to translate those architectural skills into animation background design. And in the world of action adventure cartoons, having a believable world to stage your next showdown is a good thing.
Mr. Toyama does not boast that his environmental designs on Transformers Prime won him a Daytime Emmy, which they did. But he does say he is very proud of the results the animation team has gotten with Transformers Prime and recommends to people who have nit seen it yet, to watch in High Definition.

A combination of struggling American economy and weak Holiday sales performance, is forcing Hasbro to tighten the draw strings. Yahoo Finance reports:
Hasbro Inc is cutting about 170 jobs as the second-largest U.S. toy company tries to recover from sluggish sales during the holiday season.
Eighty-two percent, or 140, of the job cuts are in the United States, according to company spokesman Wayne Charness, including "about 55" in Rhode Island where Hasbro is based.
"These moves were made to address both the under-performance in the U.S. and Canada segment, and the need for different skill sets in the company's workforce to be better aligned with a quickly evolving business," Charness said
The job cuts are being accompanied with "competitive" severance packages. Yahoo Finance reporter Dhanya Skariachan, continues by saying:
Larger rival Mattel also missed sales expectations in the holiday quarter, but still outperformed Hasbro and gained share from Mattel, according to data from NPD, a market research firm.
Hasbro, based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, has 5,900 employees worldwide, including about 1,400 in that state.
Hasbro shares fell 2.8 percent to close at $34.65 on Nasdaq.
