Grab your energon pitchforks and plasma torches faithful listeners! On the latest episode of the
Seibertron.com Twincast/Podcast, your host Counterpunch tries to find the silver lining in the disappointment the fandom has encountered over the last few weeks. Throwing gas on the fire is repeat guests Razorclaw and Tigertracks. As always, you can download the Twincast directly from
iTunes or here at
Seibertron.com's Twincast RSS feed.
Kicking things off, we discuss
the launch (and relaunch) of the TFCC Exclusive Over-Run and Shattered Glass Drift figures, as well as the problems the Club managed during the sale.
We discuss the issue with preorders, offer suggestions for the future, and discuss the figures themselves.
Next up, we lament the
unexpected end of Transformers Prime: First Edition toys. We analyze the problems with store exclusives, discuss the costs involved, speculate on reasons, and get rather salty about the whole affair, including the shortage of Takara First Edition toys to compound fan desire.
Moving on from First Edition to Robots in Disguise, we give our thoughts on the recently revealed
Ratchet and
Optimus Maximus, as well as some of the other, upcoming figures.
We then jump to other side of the world, and review the just-released
United Rodimus and give our thoughts on his over-the-top paint apps.
We have some Micron talk up next for those collectors with a tiny figure predilection, with the recently announced
Arms Micron line.
Finally, we discuss a few pieces of excellent art floating around from the likes of
Jim Sorenson and
Guido Guidi showing us some new sides to the art we've come to know and love.

Here's a little gem that almost slipped through the cracks! The
same set of catalog images from the Nürnberger Toy Fair that gave up our first look at
Kre-O Devastator also has a better image of the Transformers Prime Cyberverse Drill Tank with Knockout playset. We got our first look at this set from the
Argos catalog scans a couple of weeks ago. This image is clearer and gives us a much better look at Cyberverse Knockout in both modes, who comes with translucent staff and buzzsaw accessories.

The reveals just keep coming this week! Our German friends at
NTF-Archive.de have posted images from a catalog that was at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, and among these images is our first look at the Kre-O Devatator that we first heard about from the
UK Toy Fair. Kre-O Devastator is a 9 in 1 playset with four G1 style robots/vehicles in ROTF colors that can be reassembled into Devastator. The set also comes with multiple Kreons and a construction environment.
Check out the combined form below.

If this morning's
reveal of the SDCC exclusive Transformers/GI Joe Shockwave HISS Tank left you feeling a little underwhelmed maybe this second image posted by
Toy News International will help. This image is in higher resolution and reveals the inclusion of a G1 Shockwave laser barrel accessory. No word on which GI Joe character he will be paired with. Hopefully we will know after Toy Fair. Image mirrored below.

The
Transformers Galaxy Hong Kong Fans Group have posted a couple of new images that reveal previously unknown Bot Shot characters. We actually saw some of the wave 2 figures a few days ago when we received the
leaked images for the UK Toy Fair, but this confirms their identities. The blue sports car is Mirage along with movie Brawl and Autobot Ratchet. The unidentified wave adds Jetfire, Thundercracker, Movie Topspin, and Lockdown. Images mirrored below.

Courtesy of
@Seibertroncom twitter follower
-neurie- we have new images of some upcoming Transformers toys. We see four new and Bot Shots: G1 Ratchet, Movie Brawl, and two unknown sports cars. Next we have what is likely the Leader sized "Weaponizer" Optimus Prime that was shown at the
UK Toy Fair, as it seems to match the description that was given:
Prime Weaponizers - Leader Class figures. Choose from Bumblebee or Optimus Prime who was on display, these new larger scale figures feature 4 modes of play with concealed weapons, Prime himself had a set of gattling guns which can flip out from under his hood in truck mode or mount the shoulders in robot mode. They have been simplified over previous leaders so the core audience of children can transform them more easily.
Lastly we have slightly better version of the Optimus Maximus image that was revealed last night.
Images mirrored below.

Remember the Supreme Class Optimus Maximus news that came out of the
UK Toy Fair a few days ago? Courtesy of twitter an image of the figure has been revealed. The figure appears to be based Optimus Prime (not a shocker it's called Optimus Maximus after all) and according to the previous news transforms into a base with electronic features for use with Cyberverse figures.
Optimus Maximus - bases make a return to the line with Maximus, a large scale Cyberverse Playset which doubles a fully transforming figure and base for your Cyberverse figures. Featuring light and sound features, firing rockets and launching vehicle this guy was fairly imposing standing somewhere in between Ultimate Op and a regular Leader Class figure. It looked quite bare without any Cyberverse figures locked in but you could see the gun turrets just waiting to be armed by you min faves.
