HOLLYWOOD, CA (May 20, 2013) - Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures jointly<br />
announced today that Chinese actress Li Bingbing ("RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION") has been cast in the eagerly awaited "TRANSFORMERS 4." The actress joins Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz and Sophia Myles in the fourth installment in the hit series of movies based on the best-selling Hasbro toyline. Paramount Pictures will release the film on June 27th, 2014.<br />
 <br />
"I am excited to have Li Bingbing join our cast and to be shooting portions of the movie in her native China. I have always aspired to work with the best actors and this cast is especially exciting now with the addition of Li," said Michael Bay.<br />
 <br />
Li's recent hits in China include the Tsui Hark-directed "DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME" and "1911." She has already begun to cross over into American films, most recently co-starring in the Paul W.S. Anderson-directed "RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION," and before that "SNOW FLOWER AND THE SECRET FAN" and "FORBIDDEN KINGDOM."  She was recently named Variety's "Asian Star of the Year" which was celebrated in Los Angeles last month.  <br />
"I am thrilled to get to work with Michael Bay. 'TRANSFORMERS' has influenced generations in China and the movie franchise has a massive fan base. I am very happy to be able to join this international production. Thank you Paramount for the invitation! Looking forward to it!" said Li Bingbing.<br />
 <br />
Paramount, China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises announced this past April a Cooperation Agreement regarding the production of "TRANSFORMERS 4" in China. Under the agreement, China Movie Channel, under the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT), will cooperate with Paramount in broad-based support of the production of the film in China.  "TRANSFORMERS 4" is expected to be released in China on or about June 27, 2014. The parties also intend to cooperate in a number of other areas related to "TRANSFORMERS 4," including the selection of filming sites within China, theatrical promotion, and possible post-production activities in China as well as casting of Chinese actors and actresses in the film.<br />
 <br />
This agreement represents the first time that China Movie Channel will work with a western studio in the production of a major motion picture.<br />
 <br />
"We are delighted to see Ms. Li Bingbing being selected for a major role in 'TRANSFORMERS 4,' a very successful global film franchise," said Yan Xiaoming, Chairman of China Movie Channel.  "Ms. Li is an excellent and famous Chinese actress with many fans in China. She has had many successful projects with China Movie Channel and M1905.com in the past. We wish her every success in 'TRANSFORMERS 4' and with the worldwide audience that will enjoy her great talent."<br />

Said Sid Ganis, Chairman of Jiaflix, "Li Bingbing is an enormously talented Chinese artist who is fast becoming a worldwide movie star and is a great addition to a stellar cast."<br />

Shooting this summer in multiple locations in the U.S. and China, the film is directed by Bay and re-unites the filmmaking team from the hit franchise, including producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy & Tom DeSanto and Ian Bryce; and executive producers Steven Spielberg, Bay, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian. "TRANSFORMERS 4" is written by Ehren Kruger, based on Hasbro's Transformers Action Figures.<br />

The third, and most recent installment of the franchise, "TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON," is the fifth highest global grossing film of all time with $1.124 billion dollars of worldwide box office success.  The "TRANSFORMERS" movies are among the most popular films ever released in China, and Michael Bay is among the most popular directors with Chinese audiences. "TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON," released theatrically in 2011, grossed $165 million in China and more than $1.1 billion worldwide.<br />

PAWTUCKET, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- <a target="_blank" href="http://cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hasbro.com%2F&esheet=50613964&lan=en-US&anchor=Hasbro%2C+Inc.&index=1&md5=d76ea6b457965c179c5ea2efeb2574a2"><span style="font-weight: bold">Hasbro, Inc.</span></a> (NASDAQ: HAS) today reported financial results for the first quarter 2013. Net revenues for the quarter increased 2% to $663.7 million compared to $648.9 million in 2012. First quarter 2013 net revenues include a negative $3.3 million impact of foreign exchange.<br />

As reported, the net loss for the first quarter 2013 was $6.7 million, or ($0.05) per diluted share compared to a net loss of $2.6 million, or ($0.02) per diluted share, in 2012. The first quarter 2013 was a 13-week period compared to the first quarter 2012 which was a 14-week period.<br />
<br />
As adjusted, net earnings for the first quarter 2013 increased 30% to $6.6 million, or $0.05 per diluted share. This excludes pre-tax charges of $28.9 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, associated with previously disclosed restructuring actions as well as favorable tax adjustments of $5.5 million, or $0.04 per diluted share. First quarter 2012 net earnings were $5.1 million, or $0.04 per diluted share, excluding $11.1 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, of restructuring charges.<br />

The re-invention of our Games business led to another quarter of revenue growth in the Games category while brand innovation and new initiatives delivered gains in the Girls and Preschool categories."<br />

<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">Cost Savings Initiative</span></span><br />
As previously announced, the Company is undertaking a cost savings initiative designed to better align resources and costs while targeting $100 million in annual savings by 2015.<br />
<br />
During the first quarter 2013, the Company incurred $28.9 million in pre-tax charges, or $0.14 per diluted share, associated with this initiative. The Company currently expects full year charges of $30 to $35 million, prior to potential pension charges. Potential pension charges could be up to $10 million dependent on the type of benefit payments pension participants request during the remainder of 2013.<br />
<br />
Gross savings for 2013 are now expected to be $45 to $48 million, resulting in expected net savings of $13 to $15 million for the full-year, prior to potential pension charges.<br />

U.S. and Canada segment net revenues increased 4% to $342.1 million compared to $329.0 million in 2012. The results reflect growth in the Girls and Games categories. The U.S. and Canada segment reported 162% growth in operating profit to $37.7 million compared to $14.4 million in 2012.<br />
<br />
International segment net revenues were essentially flat at $289.8 million compared to $289.7 million in 2012. Net revenues in the International segment grew 1% excluding a negative $3.0 million impact of foreign exchange. Revenues in the International segment reflect growth in Latin America and Asia Pacific as well as the Games, Girls and Preschool categories. The International segment reported an operating loss of $4.5 million compared to an operating loss of $5.1 million in 2012.<br />
<br />
Entertainment and Licensing segment net revenues increased 5% to $30.8 million compared to $29.3 million in 2012. The segment primarily benefited from the sale of television programming. The Entertainment and Licensing segment reported an operating profit of $5.3 million compared to $7.7 million in 2012.<br />

For the first quarter 2013, net revenues in the Boys category decreased 20% to $242.8 million. MARVEL, NERF and G.I. JOE product revenues grew in the quarter, while several brands faced difficult comparisons with the first quarter 2012.<br />
<br />
The Games category continued its positive momentum from year end, posting 26% revenue growth in the first quarter 2013 versus last year. Games that grew in the quarter include MAGIC: THE GATHERING products, Boys Action Gaming with ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS and TRANSFORMERS games, the re-invention of TWISTER with the TWISTER RAVE line in Girls Gaming and MONOPOLY which was led by a tremendously successful global campaign to "Save Your Token."<br />

The Girls category also continued its year-end growth trend, increasing 23% in the quarter. FURBY, MY LITTLE PONY and ONE DIRECTION products contributed to the year-over-year gains.<br />
The Preschool category also grew in the first quarter, increasing 8% to $75.2 million. PLAY-DOH and PLAYSKOOL HEROES brands continued to grow in the quarter.<br />

<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">Dividend and Share Repurchase</span></span><br />

On February 6, 2013, Hasbro declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.40 per common share, an increase of $0.04 per share, or 11%, from the previous quarterly dividend of $0.36 per common share. The dividend will be payable on May 15, 2013 to shareholders of record at the close of business on May 1, 2013.<br />

During the first quarter 2013, the Company repurchased a total of 519,600 shares of common stock at a total cost of $20.2 million and an average price of $38.81 per share. At quarter end, $107.1 million remained available in the current share repurchase authorization.<br />

The deal includes Netflix being the exclusive over the top streaming subscription service in the U.S. for the five most popular Hasbro Studios shows including: <span style="font-style: italic">My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, Transformers Prime, Rescue Bots, Kaijudo: The Rise of the Duel Masters and Littlest Pet Shop</span>. Netflix will also have the new seasons available one month after their respective finale airs on the Hub.<br />

LOS ANGELES – The Hub Network today announced a slate of new programming for the 2013-‘14 television season that includes four new series, two Hub Original Family Movies, and nine returning series. Set to debut starting this summer, the lineup continues the network’s strategy of building a schedule with programs based on well-known brands featuring popular and respected names in the entertainment space. The announcement was made today by Margaret Loesch, President and CEO of The Hub, the fastest growing children’s cable network.<br />
“The Hub is in a tremendous growth stage with triple-digit ratings increases, a major bump in distribution, and quality programming that appeals to both children and their parents,” said Ms. Loesch. “This slate of new and returning programs will capitalize on and sustain that momentum as we head into next season and continue to exponentially grow our presence in the kids space.”<br />

Two new live-action series are set to debut on the network including the new Hub Original Series “Spooksville” which is based on the popular tween book series from Christopher Pike. Additionally, the popular U.K. adventure-fantasy series “Wizards vs Aliens” from Executive Producer Russell T Davies (“Doctor. Who,” “Torchwood”) will make its U.S. debut this summer on The Hub.<br />

The new programming lineup will also include two animated series: the new Hub Original Series, “Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch,” starring Ashley Tisdale (“High School Musical”) as the iconic teen character re-imagined for a new generation; and an acquired series called “SheZow,” which features 12-year-old Guy, a thrill-seeking dude trying to cultivate a macho image who inherits the superhero persona of his deceased aunt — the kick-butt, FEMALE superhero SheZow!<br />

In addition, The Hub will have two animated Hub Original Family Movies, including “Stan Lee’s Mighty 7,” starring the legendary superhero creator himself, as well as an all-star lineup of voice actors; and “Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising,” which wraps up the series’ final chapter revealing the fate of Cybertron.<br />

With a career spanning more than four decades, Gregg has lent his talents to many other programs as well, including G.I.Joe, Garfield and Friends, Duckman, and many, many more!  Gregg will be making appearances and signing autographs throughout the day.<br />

As a story editor and writer for both Transformers and G.I.Joe, Flint Dille was instrumental in crafting the stories of the characters we’ve loved for most of our lives.  A writer and designer of video games and interactive novels, Flint recently returned to the world of the Transformers as co-writer of IDW’s digital comic “Autocracy”, as well as its current  sequel, “Monstrosity”!  Flint will be hosting a Writers Workshop at TFExpo 2013, as well as speaking and making appearances throughout the day.<br />

"In 2012, we met many of the objectives we set for Hasbro," said Brian Goldner, Hasbro’s President and Chief Executive Officer. "Based on preliminary results, we returned the U.S. and Canada segment to historical operating profit levels; we grew revenues in the Games category against our 2012 objective of stabilizing revenues; and we grew revenues in our Girls category. We also experienced double digit growth in our emerging markets business and achieved profitability in most major emerging markets a year ahead of our plan."<br />

"We had a number of strong product initiatives, but consumer demand through much of the holiday season was less than anticipated in both the U. S. and certain international markets. As a result, fourth quarter revenues did not meet our expectations. Despite the lower than anticipated revenue, we grew our operating profit margin and earnings per share absent fourth quarter restructuring charges and the impact of foreign exchange," continued Goldner.<br />

Based on preliminary full-year results, the Company expects to report earnings per diluted share for 2012, excluding fourth quarter restructuring charges, in the range of $2.73 to $2.75. This includes an approximate $0.10 per diluted share negative impact from foreign exchange in 2012. Absent the unfavorable impact of foreign exchange, earnings per diluted share excluding fourth quarter restructuring charges are expected to be in the range of $2.83 to $2.85.<br />
<br />
Final 2012 reported earnings will reflect pre-tax restructuring charges of approximately $37 million recorded in the fourth quarter, or approximately $0.21 per diluted share, associated with the commencement of a cost savings initiative the Company is implementing. Additionally, 2012 earnings include $11.1 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, of previously announced severance costs recorded in the first quarter 2012. Reported 2012 earnings per diluted share are expected to be in the range of $2.52 to $2.54.<br />

The Company’s reported 2011 earnings per diluted share of $2.82, which included the impact of a $20.5 million favorable tax adjustment, or $0.15 per diluted share, and pre-tax expense of $14.4 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, related to costs associated with establishing Hasbro’s Gaming Center of Excellence in Rhode Island. Earnings per diluted share for 2011 excluding these two items were $2.74.<br />

The Company expects to report full-year 2012 revenues of approximately $4.09 billion, compared to $4.29 billion in 2011. Absent a $99 million negative impact from foreign exchange, full year 2012 revenues declined 2%. For the fourth quarter 2012, the Company anticipates revenues to be approximately $1.28 billion, including a negative $8 million impact from foreign exchange, compared to $1.33 billion in 2011.<br />

"As we execute our branded play strategy, we are doing so in an industry with challenging growth prospects in certain geographies. During the fourth quarter we established a plan to deliver $100 million of annual cost savings by 2015. This plan focuses our efforts around developing content-rich brand initiatives consumers and retailers are responding to, thereby enabling Hasbro to focus on fewer, more significant global initiatives and enhancing shareholder returns in the coming years," said Goldner.<br />

The Company expects to incur charges of approximately $37 million pre-tax in 2012, and an additional estimated $20-$30 million in 2013 associated with these planned actions to reduce ongoing expenses, including an approximate 10% reduction in workforce, facility consolidation and process improvements. These actions are anticipated to begin to deliver savings in 2013, with full recognition in 2015 as all aspects of the plan are implemented.<br />

LOS ANGELES, CA, December 11, 2012-- Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) announced the integration of all of its content initiatives, including television, film, commercial productions and short-form content, under Stephen Davis, president of Los Angeles-based Hasbro Studios.<br />
<br />
Davis, who has overseen global TV development, production and distribution for Hasbro since launching the studio in 2009, will report to Hasbro Chief Marketing Officer John Frascotti to ensure the seamless integration between the entertainment and global marketing teams. Hasbro Studios produces a number of top-rated, award-winning multi-platform shows that are seen in more than 170 countries globally and here in the U.S. on The Hub, a television network for kids and their families that is a joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications (NASDAQ: DISCA, DISCB, DISCK).<br />
<br />
In addition to television, Davis will now lead Hasbro’s Film Group in Los Angeles and the company’s Rhode Island-based studio responsible for producing the company’s commercials and short-form content. Bennett Schneir, SVP Motion Pictures, and Terry Scott, SVP of Cake Mix Studio in Rhode Island, will now report to Davis.<br />

“We are bringing together several of our entertainment groups so that we can fully drive our content development capabilities across our global franchises,” Frascotti said. “Stephen is the perfect choice to lead this important new initiative. In just three years, he has made significant contributions to strengthening the company’s global brands by propelling Hasbro Studios into one of the world’s most successful producers of animation and live-action programming.”<br />

Under Davis’ guidance, Hasbro Studios has produced approximately 750 half-hours of programming, with numerous global successes including Transformers Prime, Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. <br />

In his expanded role, Davis will drive the entertainment brand-driven storytelling for the company and oversee a strong multi-year feature slate including Transformers 4 with Paramount, Stretch Armstrong with Relativity Media and Candy Land with Sony.<br />

The week and month were driven by stellar performances of The Hub's original series, in particular the continued outstanding performances of its recently premiered series, "Littlest Pet Shop" and the new-season episodes of returning pop culture phenomenon "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic."  Both animated series are produced by Hasbro Studios.  The Hub's post-Thanksgiving "Black Friday" movie marathon also earned strong audience deliveries.<br />

For the week, the network also continued to earn significant audience deliveries with its key original series, including "Pound Puppies," Family Game Night" (both produced by Hasbro Studios), "Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot," "Dan Vs." and "The Aquabats! Super Show!"<br />

In November the network's new series "Littlest Pet Shop," which premiered November 10, was the top-ranked series on The Hub among all key demographics. <br />

In celebration of Thanksgiving weekend, Nike celebrates a long-standing weekend of football and an athlete that has truly transformed the game. The Nike CJ81 Collection Inspired by Megatron speaks to WR Calvin Johnson’s rare combination of physical talent and mental toughness. This menacing combination creates a prototypical specimen that undoubtedly deserves a moniker like Megatron. Much like the fictional character, Johnson relies on his uncanny ability to pull out an arsenal of physical strengths or “weapons” based on anything he encounters on the field.<br />
<br />
The collection, inspired by the Hasbro Transformers character created in 1984, features iconic Nike silhouettes across lifestyle, training and performance including the CJ81 Nike Air Max Flyposite, CJ81 Nike Huarache Free Shield, CJ81 Nike Vapor Jet Glove 2.0, CJ81 Nike Vapor Football Sock, CJ81 Nike True Adjustable Hat, and the CJ81 Nike KO Hoody.<br />

Merging the old and new, the traditional Transformers grid pattern and colors of black, silver, purple and blue from the original Megatron packaging, help highlight the CJ81 logo design.<br />

The limited collection will be available starting November 23 at several Nike retail locations as well as Nike Yardline at Champs Sports and Eastbay online.<br />

The standout titles in this deal, which was made by Erin Stein, Editorial Director at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, would include an Official Guide to the "MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC" animated television series, which releases in Spring 2013, and a TRANSFORMERS Pop-Up Book by master paper engineer, Matthew Reinhart, scheduled for Fall 2013. Additional books based on the "MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC" animated series include 8 x 8s, readers, chapter books and other companion and novelty formats, as well as an original MY LITTLE PONY picture book by award-winning illustrator Mary Jane Begin, which will release in April 2013. For the youngest fans of TRANSFORMERS, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers plans to release books starting in May 2013 based on the "TRANSFORMERS: RESCUE BOTS" animated television series.<br />
