Seibertron's own clrobe has found an interesting tidbit from "All Hail Megatron" author Shane McCarthy over on the IDW Publishing Boards concerning the upcoming "All Hail Megatron" series.
Be warned as there are some potential minor spoilers.
I thought I'd drop by and say hello. 'Focus On' is due to hit the shelves soon and it's great to see everyone getting excited about 'All Hail'. I'm a big TF fan myself and if you guys have half the fun reading it as I'm having writing it you won't have anything to worry about.
Anyway, I'm not one for spilling the beans completely (we buy comics for a reason, I like my surprises on the pages) but I wanted to at least drop a hint or two your way since being supporters of these boards should come with some perks right?
Hints:
1) Yes, it's 'in continuity'.
2) No, it's not a 'world without Autobots' (that was a misquote from a television interview I did)
3) F-15s? Hell yes.
So what does this mean for the current IDW Universe? Feel free to discuss your thoughts and theories in our IDW-Verse Thoughts and Theories thread.

Okay, so basically Megatron defeats Optimus Prime in the comic book, and rips off his head, sticking it on a pike. Luckily Optimus has downloaded his consciousness into his combat platform and Roller. Heck, it wouldn't be a G1 series unless Optimus Prime seemingly died at some point.

It's nice to know the people working on these stories are fans.
I'd hope that would be a given

Er, you haven't been reading comics long have you?
There are countless of examples of comic cover artwork out there that exaggerate, distort and just plain old do not represent the contents of the story inside.

well, i can definately see where this series is being setup with the way that Devastation #4 ended. The main Autobot force on Earth has left to look for the stolen Thunderwing, but there are still Autobots on Earth, namely the Dinobots. And don't I seem to recall Furman dropping the hint that Grimlock is gonna have to step up the plate in a pretty big way this year? Only time will tell.

Actually you are incorrect. They are leaving to look for the recently escaped Monstructor combiner bots. It appears that Arcee will have freed them. Plus, Prime doesn't know Thunderwing is gone yet. However, Thunderwing and the monstructor bots might be in the same place by the time we catch up with them.

Yes to Prime's crew leaving to look for the Monstructor combiners (As for the how they escaped, I leave that to the spotlight for details so I don't spoil)
No to Prime not knowing about Thunderwing yet. Sideswipe gave him an update in Devastation #1 remember

This guy wrote that IDW Zombies comic?
Not sure if I want....I thought that was probably the worst of the zombie comics that were out at the time....I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for his Riddle Me This storyline for Batman though. Riddler's character design was pretty lame, but otherwise, it was pretty badass.
