It's overwhelming to go over the amount of characters and names within the Transformers Universe. Hasbro has decided to take a name out from the Generation One Vault, Mindwipe, and have applied it to this Decepticon F-117 Nighthawk. Thanks to GenZhao of KOToys.com, we receive a gallery of this new figure. Homage to the G1 Headmaster Mindwipe by name only, the stealth jet has a visor in Robot mode, similar to Beast Wars Tigerhawk. His weapons are switch out blades, similar to what we see with 2007 Movie Wreckage. Mindwipe's last gimmick is it's ability to connect with Scout Skystalker, just like combining G1 Darkwing and G1 Dreadwind into G1 Dreadwing! Take a look at the pictures below!

I loove the head!, but the legs look weak; in apearence just bland and skinny compared to the rest. The blades are sweet too love the clear red. Waste Up he looks amazing but with weak legs he is not a perfect sell for me. 20 bucks is a lot...

Nice figure!

So if Dreadwind + Darkwing = Dreadwing
then does Mindwipe + Skystalker = Mindstalker or Skywipe?

I think Mindstalker sounds awesome.

The alt mode looks awesome! His legs are a little skinny, but that doesn't bother me. I'm gettin' this one!

It's probably in another topic somewhere, but what's the projected release date?

A few thoughts:

1) Blue & gold paint and transluscent purple would make this very similar to Cybertron Soundwave. Add the minion component in Skystalker and it makes me wonder if these two were conceptualized as earth-mode versions of Soundwave and Ratbat.

2) Is the connector for Skystalker a cyberkey port?

3) The connector for Skystalker winds up on Mindwipe's chest... Perhaps they combine in robot mode too? With Skystalker turning into extra armor or weaponry?

4) So close to being accurate to a real F-117; it's ashame about those tailfins.

You know that's not just Mindwipe in name only, they managed to let the alt-mode look batlike and the robot-mode head looks like a more detailed and cooler version of the G1 bat-mode head.
This toy is epic seriously epic, this guy will be my Classics Mindwipe.

Very nice figure. For some reason though it doesn't have the "feel" of a movie line toy. Totally gonna grab this one though, and Skystalker. My wallet just screamed...

I find Hasbro's design choices with these new NEST GLOBAl refresh line molds interesting -- they are not quite aligned with the movie aesthetic, and border more on being outright Universe (Classics 2.0) releases. I think that Hasbro designers initially intended for most of these new molds to be actual Universe releases, but realizing that the younger demographic my not pic up on the significance of the characters, as well as to purely capitalize on the success and popularity of the film franchise, shunted them into the "movie-verse".

Either way, GREAT toy engineering. If these characters are not represented in any IDW movie fiction, then I will use reprolabels' symbol stickers to have Bludgeon, Mindwipe, and the rest of the new molds represent my personal "Classics" version of the Cybertron Empire (Universal Stream Primax 207.1 Epsilon). Win/Win.

I dont see anything wrong with this figure! this figure is perfect in everyway!! It will be interest to see what repaints come from him. Actually, change the color to purple with some silver, take away the blades and make one hand into a cannon arm and change the head sculp abit and you got Shockwave my friends...

Sold, sold, sold!

I really love that visor. He looks pretty damn evil, and that's a good thing.

The only things I don't like are the purple (seems out of place), the tattoos (stupid idea which looks bad on everything) and I'm worried about Gold Plastic Syndrome.

Other than that, this could be one of the best figures of the line! To me he looks a lot like Cybertron Sideways/GF Noisemaze too, with that color scheme. Does no one else see it?

Looks great !!! A definite must !!! I still feel this would have made a better homage to G1 Whisper but I must admit the robot mode has a bat-like look making a Mindwipe homage passable. Im not a fan of the Cybertronian writing on the wings because it flat out resembles chinese text. But overall I give this guy a 7 out of 10 on my rating scale. :D

I'm waiting to get tomatoes thrown at me, but I just don't like it. I don't really like Voyager Bludgeon either. I think I'm just too much a fan of the "boxy" limbed TF's, and not the "skeletal". I don't like the face (same with Bludgeon), and I hate the legs. Jet mode is nice, but one mode just doesn't justify a purchase anymore.

Of course, I passed on all the movie-verse figs, so I'm just a minority.

Oh, lordy lordy, not GPS!!! Actually the plastic is a molded brown with green hue. No bronze or gold, or dark swirly brown. Lets hope no GPS.. thats been cured for a while... it could come back... like the swine flu!!! XD :grin:

Totally digging this guy. I always liked Mindwipe. I'll keep my fingers crossed that his bio mentions some sort of mind-control or at least the ability to erase a bot's memory. He does, after all, need some reason to have a name like Mindwipe.
