Site sponsor Kapow Toys have posted a very interesting update on their facebook wall. The post tells us that the long awaited reissue of G1 Sixshot has now been confirmed, plus it contains a few titbits of information about it.

When the Takara panel at the Singapore Cybertron Convention was asked whether they planned on releasing SixShot "without the leather pants" for a reduced rate, they said "We have no plans."

i still have the original in mint condition and the box is mint too. i barely played with it so it literally looks and works as good as the day i got it. i wonder if he'll be worth more once the re-issue hits...not that i'd sell it but you know. lol

Well looks like Sixshot will remain on the list of figures that i really want but will never get. Hell id settle for a KO version but i cant even get one of those.

Get your shit together, Takara/Tomy. We don't need more extravagant boxes than the TFCC produces for any figure or reissue. I don't care what character it is. I want Sixshot but I certainly have a cost range I won't go out of for him. He isn't high enough on my list of collecting priorities.

Man, I'm glad I picked up an original at Botcon a few years back. I think I got him for $60, no broken parts, no yellowing and complete. Considering nowadays he's probably even double that, I'm not sure how well the reissue will fair...

I've always wanted packaging with such added highlights. I know I'm not alone, tons of fans have been clamoring for more packaging and using higher end materials for a long time. Cause this is what the fans want, fancy boxes, the contents inside....not so much.

I'll only be okay with this re-reissue if they decide to throw in a Greatshot. I'd most def. be over that.

that's a good idea they should reissue the repaints like greatshot, metrotitan
and what ever ones there are. i don't think many of us in the USA are into leather packaging
of a toy that would probably turn a $100 toy into a $1000 toy

Wow, I'm glad someone mentioned. The comparison between hexatron and pricing is eye opening. I hope Hasbro and Takara can start to get a vision of what we're looking for and what we want to pay for. (The Masterpiece line is at least going the right direction.) But wow, this is too pricey for a chrome gun set.

I picked up a Takara reissue back in '07 at SDCC. Payed $120 for it. My wife thought I was nuts. Bet she'll change her mind after seeing this price. I, personally expected to be around $160 to $170 anyways, so big surprise on price. But I'm happy with mine, so I don't see a need in buying "Sixshot the Gimp".....

I preordered one. I wasn't planning to as I have a G1 Sixshot which is in excellent shape that I picked up a while back on ebay for around $60 (a hell of a deal), but once I heard Takara was going to use metallic paint, well, I'm a sucker for what Takara can do with some metallic paint.
Once I see some final pics, if it doesn't look sufficiently awesome, I'll cancel the preorder.

However, simply can't justify that sort of money for shineyness on a figure that isn't all that great to begin with.

Silly. $200 is ridiculous, regardless of chrome and silver paint.
I just bought an original for $70 last year. He's missing one of the guns, but other than that he's in pristine condition. I'm really glad I got him then instead of waiting for this reissue.

There's a local preorder for $130 US here... But then again, it's a brick. 6 modes of brick. And the price is kinda high when compared to a G1 one. I saw a complete g1 in great condition for $110 US the other day... :S
