Thanks a lot, you two. Thank you for making it almost impossible for us to get in-show characters as toys because you used up all of Hasbro's money and plastic. We'll never get Shockwave and Insecticon/Hardshell now. You two are great necessities to the line.

Necessary or not, I'll pick them up. They still look cool awesome.

Kinda odd how they're both predominately similar shades of blue.

Do want Thundertron, as well as some other Cybertro-- er, robot beast TFs to form his crew. Wonder if there are any older toys that would fit the bill...

Ooh! Thundertron is sporting the Star Seekers faction symbol! I have not seen that since I read up on the Chinese Transformers MMO!

But regardless of that, and the two figures... I am good. And I am wondering if he was originally intended to be the much rumored Leo Prime. Or, if Takara Tomy still plans to make that character afterall.

I think I will wait and see if a Leo Prime toy gets made from the Thundertron mold.

Didn't think I'd like Ultra Magnus, but he's way better then Animated Magnus.

And he doesn't look to gundam/slick now.
I'll get him, if he's ever released anywhere.

Can't stand the alt mode on Ultra Magnus. Nice bot mode, though.

Thundertron? Iffy bot mode, and the lion mode would be better if not for the overlong front claws and grasshopper back legs.

damn that magnus is looking sharp. cant wait to get him. gonna have to see a review of thundertron to make a final decision.

I hope Thundertron appears in the show. I've not read the book he was in, and it just seems very odd for a character like that to exist in toy form, much less as a Voyager.

But hey, if Hasbro wants to make book characters a reality...bring on Paddles the Dinobot!!!!

Oh no, I didn't grab them. Which is why I'm not in any hurry. Getting my hands on Dreadwing, Airachnid, FE Bulkhead, Dead End (yup), and Vehicon (if I get one before 2014 ) are my first priorities for this line.

I will wait to see some more pictures of Ultra Magnus. If he has a G1 looking face, I could add some white paint and use him as Classics Magnus.

If the hammer locks, that's awesome.

My biggest gripe is the bland paint scheme on Magnus. It's not that impressive. Otherwise, I like them both.

I hope some 3rd party or other is already making a good weapon for Thundertron, but even without one he's a definite buy. Magnus is very much Animated Magnus for a Classics collection, IMO, just like RTS Lugnut or Prime Bulkhead. That's not a bad thing, by any means, I love the hammer concept. Not 100% sold on the figure though. Not really liking the vehicle and robot mode is, yes, a bit bland looking.

Okay now I want Magnus

Agreed. Normally I'm not picky about paint aps, but those smokestacks look naked. Eh, nothing a silver paint marker won't solve though...

Also, I know I said this earlier, but I really, really hope Thundertron pops up in the show. A pirate lion is just so random, it's intriguing.

Wow. Those look even worse out of the packaging.

Magnus is just straight, plain awful. Simplistic AND ugly. Yay.

You know what would be interesting? If he appeared in a sequel to Prime; Beast Hunters.

Magnus looks great, if lacking in the paint app department. Thundertron looks pretty interesting too, the more I look at him, the more of a Zero Jager/Schneider vibe I get from him, haha.

PASS AND PASS. Believe me, I'm not complaining.......more more for the "names we don't speak of" and Takara MP stuff...

...well I'll continue to wait for Takara to release images. So are we to expect the Hasbro version to have only 1 rocket/missile?

Looking at them again... I think I am good just having "Arms Microns" Arcee.

Besides, right now, I am hoping to expand my Japanese Generation 1 collection in the future, not add obscure characters that have given me little to no enjoyment at this current time.

These figures could GREATLY benefit from a better paint job, or just more paint. Thundertron is definitely the better one out of the two, but they're both so bleh looking. I'll have to wait and watch reviews to see if they really seem that fun (poseable). Magnus could look amazing with a blue metallic paint all over him. Might need to contract some custom painting here

WOW! I'm so glad i didnt get into TF: Prime line, these two are awful! I mean I'm not downing the whole line, there are some cool, good molds out there, but these need to do back to the drawing board and start over.

I don't know if it was mentioned yet (though I'm sure it was somewhere at some point), but I could totally see Thundertron repainted as Steeljaw and the current color scheme and bot mode kinda have a Tigerhawk vibe to them. He's a bit more 'Cybertron-y' than I'd like for a beast bot, but I'll still get him.

Now I've really got to have both of them. The photoshopped pictures we first saw, as usual, didn't do them justice.

The only gripe I have is ultra magnus's weapon. Not the gimmick itself just the way it collapses. If they had made it collapse on the bottom instead of the top it would have looked like a huge drum magazine. Other than that I like the mold.

Thundertron looks great! I hope both their weapons lock into place.

My level of desire for Magnus has just been upgraded from want to need.

I have liked Ultra Magnus since the pictures posted from SDCC! He looks great! I love the head mold and really like the colors. I definitely will be getting him. I just hope he's easier to find that Dreadwing is. I've searched all over metro Atlanta and still haven't found him.

Thundertron looks...interesting? I don't know how I feel about him. It is exciting that there might be a new faction to combat the 'bots and 'cons, but I'm still not sure. If he's in the show then I'll probably get him. If not, unless he has a pretty good in-hand video review I don't think I'll be getting him. That's one more for those of you who like him!

That has me worried. The only reason they didn't release Breakdown was because of the AM ports. Hasbro will probably use that as an excuse to not release it. I can hear it now "derrr da wapins don't has no spreengs init sos we cants releese it."
