This looks better than in the pics from SDCC. There I said it.

Part of me wants this figure. But I'm still quite happy with ML Soundwave. Collector Problems

Looks great, I still don't understand why these weren't released before the game though?

Soundwave you crazy fool, being mistransformed in package no less! Can't wait for this! I'm so glad they decided to make this mold. The gimmick is actually pretty good AND I can finally get a neo-classics Soundwave without shelling out $20+ for a deluxe...though the way prices are getting right now, they'll be that much at retail before long.

that is an awesome box, please be $20 cause i really really want this figure. Ok i want 2 but thats beside the point.

If I do get this guy, he will be one of my few "leave it in the box" toys - It's a great presentation. (plus i have the deluxe WFC size already)

Would look nice on my Classics shelf next to Universe Blaster (soon to be replaced by Generations Blaster).

I considered skipping him because I already have the deluxe, but the gimmick is just too cool to pass up. Besides, he's one of my favorites.

Same, here. I also have the WFC Soundwave. So he's redundant at best. Hmm, pass.

Everyone's psyched about this "gimmick" but the thing is that those data disc's look horrible in alt mode.

If I buy it it'll be strictly for Soundwave not those crappy disc.

The fig itself if pretty good, but the discs are horrible, with Laserbeak being the only borderline decent one.

Between ML Soundwave, deluxe Soundwave and the MP Soundwave I've pre-ordered, this one is redundant to me. He's also out of scale unless they make voyager versions of FOC Megs and OP.

All in all, a pass for me.

He's not out of scale if you put G1 Soundwave beside G1 Prime and Megs, Soundwave was a larger toy. See Soundwave superior...smaller toys inferior.

As much as I am a fan of Soundwave I can do without this. I have the deluxe version and as I understand it this is simple scaled up without any additional work being done to improve the transformation.

I will be much happier with MP Soundwave which cant get here soon enough.

Why is he Voyager class? Hell Megatron should be this size

A Voyager class Soundwave but not a Megatron or a Optimus Prime... That makes sense. Or not. How many of you think Hasbro are a bunch of lazy jackasses?

Soundwave needs to be a voyager to incorporate the play feature, but its fair point about the scale. Im hoping they go for a megatron in voyager wave 3

Ive got WFC soundwave so im going for FOC Soundblaster, i can justify him on the shelf if hes a reformatted upgrade

Music Label. He's' a working MP3 player, only about 2 gig of storage though, if I recall correctly.

Actually it's just 1 GB, but there are ways you can extend it to 2 GB.

And I'm still torn between WFC and FOC Soundwave... you know what, I'll cheat, get WFC Soundwave and FOC Soundblaster.

I'm waiting for one of the repaints.

Looks better in package, hopefully Hasbro won't forget to upscale FOC Optimus and make a voyager Megatron.

Yeah I love soundwave and all,but I'll just be picking up soundblaster and Grimlock when they become available.

They look fine to me. The only thing that bugs me a little is they sacrificed the weapon storage for the gimmick.

1 GB [i]compatible[i]. The figure didn't actually come with any storage, you had to provide your own SD card.

I'm just waiting for the Soundblaster and Blaster versions, this one's an easy pass.

But judging strictly from the games alone, voyager FOC Soundwave would be out of scale with WFC Megs and WFC/FOC OP.

Personally, I base the scale of my collection on that of their respective shows/games/continuity, not the G1 toys.

Would have rather seen a Shockwave upscale in all honesty, does anyone konw if this is on the cards, or is that just too much to ask for?

No word on that. Heck, there hasn't been any word on a voyager FOC Optimus, or even a deluxe FOC Megatron.

He actually looks pretty good sat there in his box. I'm still not too thrilled about how they've handled Laserbeak and the others.

It'll be interesting to see how, with the reduced size of Transformers, this voyager Soundwave compares to the WFC deluxe.

I love the way this toy looks and if the MP Soundwave wasn't staring us in the face I would be all over him, but I am going to get the MP model and never need to buy another Soundwave...ever! I will get the Blaster retool of this guy though if the toy is cool.

Well since so many are passing on him, i hope it makes it easier for me to find. Really likeing him.

Anyone have any info on how tall FOC Voyagers will be?

Maybe some of you guys have seen him in person on display, how would he stack up against a Classics Prime?

Given how Classics Prime's already small for a Voyager at the time, I'd say Soundwave will be slightly smaller.

Which is why I'm using the Prime Soundwave (works with United R&F, the upcoming Laserbeak, and GF Soundblaster as well in terms of alts) and waiting impatiently for the Blaster retool/paint, who's in scale with SW somewhat as the larger figure, and grounded like most Autobots.
