TransformersAsia Teases APS-02 Brawl

If they can release it at a reasonable price, I may finally be able to afford this mold!
I'm looking forward to know if it's really a Leader Brawl shiny reissue. And if it is, how it will look and most importantly, how the thing will cost.

So, let's play the wait-n-see game.

If this is true, then this will be a great opportunity for anyone who's thought about owning this bad boy. Definitely the best leader mold from the first movie packed with cool features and gimmicks that actually add to the figure. A must own for anyone into the movie toys like me (though I also think he needs to be displayed with the underrated Jazz figure, too - premium, of course!).

I'm serious hasbro should seriously consider selling the APS series at universal studios. The toys at universal are seriously just repackeged dotm and the same tf prime toys that everyone had/has a chance to buy at a lower price everywhere else.

I would buy APS brawl and striker optimus for 60- 80$ each at universal

Now will megatron get an APS toy?

Sentinel would be cool.

Screamer would most likely be a re-release of MPM-01.

This serries is getting good. Might have to start collecting these too.

I already have Leader Brawl, so I have no interest in owning the Premium guy. €20 / $26, try and beat that

Well, that would be nice for those who can't get enough luck at the lottery.

And I say, Megatron would be very nice if he was either in his ROTF body, but with metallic paint job, or in his new DOTM body (please Takara).

Not sure what Sentinel would look like, but he should have much more detail. Some(?) DOTM toys lack it, so Sentinel should get rid of some red paint that makes him look boring.

And yes, Starscream would get re-released, but I can deal with that.

Some most likely choices in the series:

APS-06 Ironhide (needs more black detail)
APS-07 Soundwave (metallic paint job will do)
APS-08 Ratchet (similar to his Best Buy exclusive release)
APS-09 Bumblebee (HA version, but in his DOTM design) I think I'll regret saying that
APS-10 Jetfire (similar to the ROTF two pack that has him with OP)

Their Dark Energon Megatron was pretty good, managed to snag one at Korean retail (The irony kills, those who been to Korea will know).

But I don't have much interest in the LDR Brawl mold. Loved the Deluxe mold.

Looks like there is a wide range for the value of this guy. Seems like he goes anywhere between $100-$175 MISB and can be had for $75-$100 opened and complete. I would guess APS-02 to cost around $130-$150 so that would put the new guy about the same price as the old guy.

If he is that one movie that received a TV series, then consider me "Lost in Translation." I mean... Truth be told, if I was not dead-set on my policy that prohibits me from buying any movie pieces, and I had the funding, I would have bought him. He is one of those shining examples that has me thinking that APS-02 will have fans develop a shrunken bladder.

I bet it will feature more detail, but I would not expect the price to be below $180.00 .Just as APS-01 Optimus Prime or any other upcoming APS figures in the future.

The TransformersAsia Facebook page has posted a new image of Asia exclusive APS-02 Brawl with the image color inverted, however some savy computer users have managed to invert the image and give us a better idea of what this new Brawl deco will be. The images have been mirrored below.

Looks pretty awesome to me, Robokingdom should have him listed soon I imagine.

I just tried inverting the image, its just the command Inverse colour (ctrl+I) on Photoshop. Haha, seems like people in Transformer Asia are a bit lazy.

In any case this looks good, I would like to get hold of this, hope there is some shiny/metallic paint on him.

This figure is cool but i'm not liking his hands and head sculpt. Would get if it were cheap though.

I don't get it. Why is this mold in a "premium series" release. It's not good enough of a mold nor is the character.
Also, can someone point out too me what exactly is "premium" about this release. Just looks like the typical hasbro product shot that's heavily photoshopped too look way nicer than it actually is (Insert polishing a turd analogy here).

If you're saying that it looks just like the Hasbro version, consider the comparison of both versions below:





APS Brawl has a much more metallic finish than the Hasbro version.

As a lover of not only of tanks in general, but specifically the M1A1 Abrams, I would happily sell my kidneys to afford this (but not enough to trump MP-10).

Leader class Brawl was my favorite figure from the 2007 movie line. I Lso though he raised the cool factor in the scene exponentially. He made the 'Cons look badass, not like drooling panzies in the second one.

Might try some paint modding on mine just to get some nice highlights.

On the figure itself, I own the Hasbro version and I wouldnt recommend the mold unless you are a huge Brawl fan. It doesnt hold together well in tank mode.

The other day I picked up my Leader Brawl to reconfigure my displays to accompany my incoming Christmas haul. Massive pain in the butt to transform, especially the arms, mainly because I hadn't touched it in two or three years.

YOW! That is one heck of a beast looking Brawl! Who knew TakaraTomy gets to give this guy a heck of show-accuracy!

I probably would. He looks great, and would look even better next to APS-01 Striker Prime (especially now that I've sunk $$ into the Dr Wu/UFO/Cubex articulated silver hands, Orange Axe & Sentinel Prime Shield, and Chrome Buster Guns).

Good thing I sold my movie one before this came out.

Don't know why some folks are so critical of this release. Leader Brawl already goes for around $200 new on eBay, but now you can get the premium treatment. He definitely deserves it. The mold's incredible.

I believe he is referring to what appears to be paint applications on his hands that appear to represent weathered metal. Back when he was available in retail, his hands were plain ol' black.

EDIT: Thought you meant Brawl's hands. I'll hunt down said hands after I'm done with my damn project.

TransformersAsia.com have fully revealed their upcoming APS-02 Decepticon Brawl. The figure is a limited production premium metallic repaint of the 2007 Move Leader Class Brawl who will come in collector style packaging. He's scheduled to release on March 31st in select Asian markets excluding Japan. Images mirrored below.

Nothing we haven't particularly seen. Looks beautiful in every way (this coming from an aspiring Marine tanker).

If it had the chrome green paint of Takara FOC Brawl or First Edition Bulkhead, Id buy it. Silver in place of the grey is not enough for me.

That's an amazing figure, holy crap... like, that is insane. I have no place for it in my collection unfortunately, but damn... look at that gorgeous alt. mode.

Those pics are heavily Photoshopped. The final toy won't look much different to the original. I know that won't stop most from buying this polished 2007 turd, but hey, just saying.

Too little too late in my opinion. Thats a good looking figure for sure but my interest in movie figure dissipated somewhere during ROTF's run. The existence of this figure will not make it return.
