He's a definite buy for me, but I'll either wait for retail or get him from BBTS if he's really difficult to find.

Well, it's an incredibly accurate figure; it's on my list.

Conclusion: Awesome.
(Thanks to Tfwiki for that one)
He looks so much better without the armor. Really looking forward to this one.

Yes...and it does. There are pictures of it off... I sincerely don't understand your confusion.

There are some smaller 'spikes' (as well as the hose) that aren't part of the armor. However, they're silver, so I think Gauntlet is just misinformedly assuming they'll be the color of the armor bits.

Unless they really do bug him that much...but eh. More for the rest of us.

On the other hand, I don't see how a couple of small spikes would prevent you from displaying this figure as part of a "Classics-verse" display.
Also, while the spikes (and other parts) may appear silver in that Photoshopped promotional image, I'd be willing to bet the actual figure will be dull unpainted gray in those spots, not shiny silver.

Those ones are gray, not red, and are part of his CG character model.GuyIncognito wrote:His armor might come off, but there are some spikes, such as those around his head, that look like they might NOT be removable.

Yea I think what it is is that the Silver bits are the same color as the removable armor that is causing the confusing for some? anyway this is looking awesome.

Although the shoulder pieces don't look very removable .... appearances may be deceiving.

I'm sure they are, it looks like they're pegged into the shoulders.

The red, rubbery armor parts do detach completely. The silver spikes coming out of his head are actually part of his head. He has that same head design in season 2 of Prime.

I've seen people on crack making more sense than the people selling for THAT much for an ugly looking knockoff.

I love seeing prototypes! It's fun because they're often in...odd colors. XD Remember the prototype of FoC Starscream we saw?

Xephon0930 wrote:This prototype looks like shit. The colors and some of the plastic looking like they haven't been attached properly?
You are aware that prototypes' colors are not the final intended colors for figures? Early models are always made with crappy colors because it is just a physical representation of their design. They are never intended to be a final representation...hence a prototype. So no one should worry about these colors looking bad.
Btw, this I didn't intend this to be directed at you specifically. There just seems to be a lot of confusion about these images. No one freaked out over the prototype images of the OP PRiD remold for Ultra Magnus that surfaced a few weeks ago.
And the beast armor is removeable! Again, I don't understand the confusion...

I remember. Was very disappointed when we stopped seeing them on a regular basis...I think it pretty much stopped after the second movie line...

No, dont try to bribe him.
He will remain loyal to Megatron.
Or overthrow him to be the new leader.
Whatever is more logical.

Voyagers cost 46 USD in The Netherlands, what the scrap are you complaining about?

The only logical choice for Decepticon leader would be Shockwave. Still wondering if he created these Preds with the intention of eventually overthrowing Megs. Fingers crossed.

But for life of me I can't remember where I've seen it before. If it was on another Transformer or even from some other toyline's figure.

PBH Soundwave - Too many colors
PRID Dreadwing - Blue's too dark, too much gray, not enough red
RiD Sky-Byte - Too many colors
It might not have even been a TF. Could have been a Megazord or a Gundam or a Digimon or a Bionicle or a... argh, so many toylines I've played with.

And did someone mention a prototype of Animated TC!? Impossible! I thought the toy's stock photo's where the only thing that proves the existence of this guy!

At least two factory samples have made it into fans' hands:
