Love the bot mode; still not diggin' the alt mode.

I'll probably buy this fig, but it will probably stay in bot mode.

Robot mode's pretty nice. I might pick him up after all.

But why does Shocky always get a crummy alt mode? Bring back the space gun if you can't come up with something better.

I love him all but his toes. Those toes look bad... in both modes. Guess he goes on the back row behind some minions.

That said, I'm astounded how very, very, good he looks without the armor... and how unconscionably BAD he looks with the armor.

Good size, too. I think he can pass for a FOC Shockwave in a pinch, putting him next to Grimlock there. Looks good.

I almost wish he wasn't so big in robot mode. Grimlock should tower over him. Oh well.

Love it. I like the alt-mode. Now I don't like how his legs look, but I like how his chest becomes the cockpit window.

If I get him I'm making a animal-ish head to clip onto the cannon. Probably with only one eye.

Oh man, so good. One of the best Shockwaves yet.

That is one sexy bot mode I must admit, and I bet we can come up with some kind of fan mode to turn him into either a better looking tank or (hopefully) some sort of gun .

The gun is supposed to be his arm, as far as we know.
Not sure if it can detach, but it shouldn't have an arm-with-hand underneath.

Actually the scale is pretty accurate to the Rage of the Dinobots comic, which it is based on along with TFP the show.

I cannot wait to get this guy! He keeps looking better and better! That arm cannon is great and I love that the tank treads become the ammo clip/hose/whatever for the cannon!

Also, is that the Takara version of FOC Grimlock? Or is it just a custom?

I'd love a Takara version with black or gray tank treads.

man that alt mode is really bad, robot mode is great but the alt mode had no thought put into it.

I'm looking at the floppy orange stuff. I was thinking the connector to the gun got worked into the tank treads somehow. Maybe I misread a post.

I was looking at the purple on the end of his forearm and at first glimps i thought it might but i just looked again and it won't.

Tank mode looks nice, bot mode looks great

The alt-mode's not too bad. The default is better with the armor, for the beast look, but for the unarmored version, I'd try to work the legs to give a more Galvatron look to it.

We all want a Voyager scale Shockers for our CHUG lines, and unfortunately this one falls just short in that regard's aesthetics... but I'm still gonna buy the crap out of him, because it's the best Voyager Shockwave since Animated. He'll look great in my Beast Hunters line.

Grimlock is from a different line silly. That line happens to have it's own Shockwave which is in scale

I think it looks fantastic and the fact that the gum-spikes come of is great.

There are still G1 Shockwaves to purchase online, if you really want a G1 Shockwave that is.

That's the MP sized version. X is referring to the planned downsized (Voyager) version that Fanstoys plans on releasing later.

I'm definitely getting this version of Shockwave (well, Takara's at least, not Hasbro's) and already have him on preorder. I'm skipping Fanstoys myself because I suspect Takara is going to do one down the road in the MP line.

That's the best looking Shockwave ever! I might even have to spring for the Takara version.

This figure is making me realise just how much Transformers: Prime is a blend of the videogames and the Bayverse aesthetics, with some nods to other continuities.

The legs and cannon arm scream DotM, the chest and head are WfC/FoC (and a bit of G1), plus there's the chain/tread for the gun, with all the rounded 'spikes' around the body which are Prime's touch.
And the roundedness is also Animated, of course.

Very nice.

This looks marvelous, especially in comparison to the disappointment that was DOTM Shockwave.
Thank goodness that this fine fellow has his cannon on the correct arm.

I don't even know why I still have DOTM Shockwave, it does nothing but take up space and look ugly...Eh, I can always display him as a dying foe under the heel of this upcoming figure, who shall take the place as my "true" Shockwave.

You're missing the point of the figure.

Ha ha. Touché. Cannon aside, I'd still love to see a third party head to homage the original.

Really wish we could have seen an army of little Megatron clones... but will wait to see what we get. Vehicon drones not a bad thing, either.

Alt mode looks better with the claw pieces and armor.

looks good enough for me to spend Hasbro's RRP on it. I have the WFC version and it is really cool, but a tad small. Still, I do really like the FansToys version, and am tempted to wait on their Voyager-sized release of that. I won't pre-order this or have it delivered, but if I am in a shop and see it, I'll probably get it. The gimmick looks like lots of fun and the armour...well, I can maybe throw it at someone I don't like or something.

Whoe... so that's confirmed? A Voyager size version of the FansToys?
