One of the greatest things to happen to the Transformers franchise happened in the last 2 weeks: the release of the pictures of the upcoming Transformers: Armada UNICRON figure which will be available early this summer. Check out the following pictures: Robot Mode, Planet Mode.
Here´s some facts about the Unicron toy:
  • The figure will retail for about $49.99
  • Initially reported that Unicron is 13" tall but is now rumored he is 18" tall
  • The minicon is named "Nebulon" (a nod to the Headmasters saga from ´87)
  • The Star Saber can be attached to Unicron´s back which activates the chest missle
  • The legs and stomach of Unicron can act has Minicon storage compartments
  • Missiles are launched when a Mini-Con attaches on the lower legs above his feet
  • Unicron´s planet mode is more egg-shaped than ball-shaped
  • There are 24 minicon ports on the outer rings
  • Unicron will be packaged in robot mode due to his large size
  • Both the eyes and the right hand light up
  • It is rumored that the Armada packaging may get an update to reflect Unicron´s arrival titled Transformers: Armada "The Unicron Battles"
