Weird, I was looking at the artwork on my laptop in my TF display room and I swear Superion is popping a chubbie.

Quite odd, I wonder how the toy will look.

I'm a little behind in my news on Victorian. I know that the fans voted on this and that to create the combiner. But has it ever been said if we will receive actual toys of Victorion?

ZeroWolf wrote:To be more specific, why do you find nautica bad? As I said she needs the spotlight to be able to grow as a character and actually have a history like all the other g1 characters. Though thank you for pointing out riptide as I'd completely forgot about him for a second.

Also I wouldn't say it's a big push for fembots considering that nautica has only been in MtMtE for a year and a bit, and before that she was only introduced in the middle of Dark Cybertron. Plus Arcee was making the case for fembots for much longer than that.

Nautica is not really interesting at all to me. Nothing special about her so I don't think she deserves the time that she gets to be honest when there's other characters I believe should get the time. It's cool and all establishing new characters but it's not cool to relegate old favourites to cameos. Tracks is another character that needs some idw love. Riptide is fantastic he brings charm and a unique brand of humour.

It's fine to not like a certain character, I don't like Windblade. I find Chromia a little 2 dimensional. I can't stand Arcee. But I don't hate 'fembots' (I hate the term). I like Nautica, Firestar I disliked on a personal level, but found her character interesting, and I hope Velocity turns out to be a great character.

We've been presented with a very diverse personalty pool with the ladies so far. So the 'fembots' aren't able to really be lumped together as a whole, they are distinctly different with very different personalities and roles. You're skirting a line that is close to racism, sexism, and intolerance.

It's okay to dislike all the personalities presented so far even, but dislike them on a personal level, not a blanket statement of 'fembots', because you are hating because of a gender pronoun, not an individual that does not represent the whole.

I don't really like the fembots because they're poorly written characters

Racism, sexism and intolerance? Grow up mudslinger it's a story about alien robots I can dislike who I want. Pc gone mad.

Only problem I see with them being from Caminus is that during the Fan Vote one of the polls was where they were from and the Sea of Rust won. Doesn't mean that won't change.

Hi! I have grown up, long time ago, actually.

Firstly, learn to read. I did not call you those things, I said you skirt them with the way you word things.

You blanket statement things. You don't like fembots but don't give a reason, just that you don't like them. That makes it a blanket statement.

Secondly, it's okay to have an opinion, but at least acknowledge that you some reasons for that opinion besides "I don't like girls" (which is how it sounds when you say "I don't like fembots, give male characters more page time")

And thirdly, so Va'al isn't inclined to send me a "keep on topic" pm, still not liking the so perfectly matched scheme. I like color coordination (a lot), but it seems too planned for a spontaneous event

I reckon once they knew what the limbs were they had planned schemes for all the available colours. What could of been nice though likely more time consuming is, using the voted colour palette, that voters got to create their own layout on a blank combiner picture, then the best five went to another vote. Yes it would of meant revealing the combiner early but they would still only be drawings.

"Learn to read". Cop onto yourself, you knew full well they were indirect insults, don't give that absolute rubbish to try to insult me. Very petty on your behalf.

If you could read, direct enough there for you, in previous posts I said I don't like the current ones because they're badly written characters (outside of Arcee).

Unfortunately today's world that a certain place set the standard for makes people have to answer why they don't like something, you simply cannot dislike something without having a hidden motivation or agenda than simply not liking it.

Do I relate to male transformers more? Yes because I'm male. Do I relate to fembots more? No because I'm not female.

Back on topic of the character itself I'll certainly be keeping my money as the colour scheme is horrendous looking in my opinion. Fair play if you like it but from looking through forums a lot of staunch supporters and bandwagon fans seem to have gone missing.

Having seen the official pics, I think Victorion looks pretty awesome. The color was a little jarring at first, but it's really grown on me, and the design is great, too. I especially like how her weapon is a combination of the Torchbearer's own individual tools.

Why do people just LOVE to blame other for being: racist, sexist, and "intolerant"? This is getting old! It's F*****G TRANSFORMERS for Primus's sake! Girls are girls, boys are boys, but we are all people, and should be treated with equal respect. A guy can say a certain female character isn't a well written character without people calling him sexist for crying out loud! [-( It's not the gender that matters, but the way the character is written. >:oP

I agree, it's a great idea! I'm just wondering how her hands and feet come into play in the individual modes, since for THIS combiner, they trashed the hand/foot/gun idea.

Considering she is sold as a set and needs no dual-purpose parts, they can go wherever, or like Devy they found a way to store them all on Pyra Magna perhaps. I'm not sure. I just know I will display her mostly combined, so the separate weapons and hands and feet are no problem for me :BOT:

It looks to me like her hands/feet weren't designed with the existing play pattern in mind at all and are just meant to be set aside like the G1 combiners did. If so, I'm mildly disappointed, but since it seems to result in her having smaller hands than the male combiners, and the feet allegedly have ankle tilt joints, it's not that big a deal so long as setting aside parts doesn't become a regular occurrence.

Do you mean victorions parts, or cw parts in general?

The aerialbots just clip under themselves, they look ridiculous - until they can dual-wield them.

Many of the Stunticons (and their remolds) can 'integrate' them into their alt mode: breakdown, offroad/first-aid, dragstrip (kinda).

Many of the Stunticons (and their remolds) can 'integrate' them into their alt mode: breakdown, offroad/first-aid, dragstrip (kinda).

Both, but the CW combiner pieces in general actually can store on MOST of the Stunticons. I have Dragstrip, and it can store on top,
Image
Offroad's can store on the back where First Aid's extra bulk is,
Image
Breakdown's can store on top,

and the only one who's combiner bit looks a little ugly in alt mode, is Dead End's.

Setting parts aside, I'm not a big fan of, cuz where do they go? We need to think practically about it!

You can actually attach them to the vehicles. they may look ridiculous but they can attach: the feet to the heli's, the hands to the backs of the cars. :BOT:

Still doesn't sound very practical... :BOT:

I was referring to Victorion components. The regular guys are alright. about half work and the other half are ugly :BOT:

Will Victorion's hands and feet REALLY be that far away from the Torchbearers when you separate them into individual modes that you have to worry about losing them? I mean, I do hope there's an integration that looks half-decent, but if not, I'll just put them on my clutter shelf with all my powerizer weapons when I keep the Torchbearers in individual modes.

You know, looking more at Victorion, I get the feeling I'd be more into it if there was more retooling going on, even if they still based them on the same molds. The Copter Sisters look good (though the Alpha Bravo mold is getting seriously milked to death by Hasbro), Pyra Magna is actually pretty fantastic and if these were individual releases I'd buy her. Rust Dust looks OK too.

My personal opinion is that thye should have done the following:
Pyra Magna: Leave as is, except for maybe altering that hideous colour scheme and making the combiner head hide better.
Helicopter Sisters: Retool the rotors to have 3 blades and the chassis of the helicopter to just look...different somehow. Like, in any concievable way at all.
Jumpstream: Give her an all-new vehicle shell and make her head look a bit less like a blow-up doll.
Dustup: Same as Jumpstream, except exchange "blow-up doll" for "Somali Pirate".
Rust Dust: Leave as is, she looks OK.
Combined mode: For the love of god get rid of the high heels and give her conventional CW hand-foot guns.

As for the colours, really the teal should have been front and centre, there should have been more silver/white, and the red should have been a fair bit darker.

Reposting this from the other Victorion thread since it's fiction-based and might have been overlooked by those who stuck mainly to this thread instead of the other one:

Something awesome this way comes.

Remember this teaser for Victorion?

Look closely at the Groove mold component on her chest.

See the little bits of Cybertronian text on there? That's "Ancient Autobot".

On her left (our right) reads "far away", and on her right (our left) reads "never roam".

What do these words mean? Well, here's the full quote they come from:

"If Cybertron be your home, far away never roam. Hear my message, listen and fear. Danger comes, the end is near! Just like us, you soon will rust. All shall be turned to dust."

And here's where this quote comes from:

The G1 episode "Cosmic Rust".

Why is this relevant? Victorion hails from the Sea of RUST!

Plus, her sword's hilt is totally beetle-esque, like the Lightning Bug:

It looks cool as far as I'm concerned. The color... well I'm not fond of red and I'll leave it at that. But I like the idea.

I like how in the latest issue of the comics formerly titled RID that it's mentions that Torchbearers (there are more than the 6 that form Victorion) are all painted in unifying colour scheme. Nomthing major, but a nice little touch.

That comic made some sense for her. The torchbearers are always 6 in number (with new ones to replace the ones now combining) and they personally serve the Mistress. That's cool. Explains the unification there :BOT:

It's basically hasbro self-justifying the way victorion looks via the fiction >:oP

She really, really does need more of the tertiary color to break up her color scheme
