Beast Wars: Transformers Season 1 Now Available on Netflix

It's about time. BEAST MODE!

And here I was getting ready to cancel my account. Well, they got me for another month.

Now they just need Transformers: Cybertron and Transformers: The Movie (1986) and my library will be complete.

YES! love that show, though I was hoping i'd get all three seasons at first not just the first season

Two factions of Transformer progeny crash land on prehistoric Earth...

Wow, way to spoil the major plot point/story arch of Season 2/3 there Netflix .

I'm sure there's at least a few people who haven't seen Beast Wars yet and would have been surprised by this when they saw season 2.

I'm not 100% sure who owns the rights to the 1986 movie at the present time.

Anyway, what I find really funny is that though the only episodes they have are from season 1, the picture they're using says "Third Season".

Quick update on Beast Wars: Transformers availability on Netflix, season two is now up and ready to stream! Thanks to @Braxus0 for letting us know via Twitter and the image.

The first 2 episodes are misnamed. It's supposed to be Coming of the Fuzors, not Changing of the Fuzors.

It's all good though, at least we've got some Beast Wars on Netflix, and that makes me happy .

By the way, for anyone wondering, it appears they're using the versions of the episodes from the Shout! Factory DVD set released recently, not the older Rhino releases (I can tell because of the end credits).

They're missing "The Agenda (Part III)"

they have seasons 1 & 2 but the picture says season 3, planing ahead i guess. So is netflix going to be getting all the transformer series or just G1 & beast wars? Dont know why but i want to watch RiD again. Also wondering bout GIJOE as well.

Thus far, we know that Netflix will at least have Prime, G1, Beast Wars, and Rescue Bots. I can see them getting Beast Machines, but I'm not hopeful for RiD, A/E/C, or Animated.

It sucks that we here in Latinamerica don't get the chance to watch these series (G1, Beast Wars, etc.) even when we are paying Netflix to have access to all of it's content

I just joined Netflix today. Does the content vary depending on what country you live in because the only Transformer vid I can find on it is the 07 Baymovie?

Yes, the available content varies based on the country you live in. In fact, here in the US, we don't have the '07 Bay movie on Netflix.

You read that title right my friends, after the recent Netflix release of Beast Wars seasons 1 & 2, we can announce thanks to "darthprime99" that Netflix now has Season 3 available.
This means Beast Wars is now available in it's entirety on demand, all we need now is Beast Machines to have the full Beast Era in Video On Demand form.

So if you don't have the DVDs, and live in a country that has Netflix, and you've wanted to relieve such classic moments like Megatron (the Beast era version) blasting Optimus Prime in the face (you know who I mean, Optimus Primal isn't Opimus Prime) and almost altering history and the rise of Optimal Optimus, well here's your chance!

unless of course the Netflix in the country you're in doesn't have Beast Wars available at all.

So know we got the complete Beast Wars series. Soon we will also have Dark of the Moon (can't wait to watch it a number of times....I'm thinking at least once a week)

I wish they would get the 1986 movie on the streams! That would be nice. We can have complete G1 and if they get Beast Machines (if Shout! Factory decides it's worthy of release) then we could have the complete "This is what Transformers was like when we were little" set. Not that Prime is anything to be sneezed at.

TBH, I haven't watched all of the Unicron Trilogy (Armada, Energon featuring fat Optimus, Cybertron) but RID was pretty bad. Except for Sky-Byte. Though RID did introduce the stooge consept to Transformers (though in Armada they trimmed it a little...Starscream is hardly stooge material)

this is when they made megatron into a dragon for no reason other than to get a new toy on the show. stupid. this scene also raises a lot of questions. like what dragon form did he scan to get that mode? and why was he not killed being in lava for so long? terrorsaur and scorpinok died from this.

all in all best season though.

as much as i hate waspinator and black araknias feminine bs. this show will always be better than prime.

Okay, but then how come Netflix has all of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic up for streaming when it has yet to receive any complete season DVD/Blu-Ray releases? Or how about Netflix already having every single Power Rangers season when only a handful of episodes from certain seasons have had any DVD release?

Does a show really need to come out on DVD/Blu-Ray first (and in full) before it can get on Netflix?

Good move Netflix after I watched it on Youtube 2 weeks ago.

Maybe not, reread my post, I said MY EXPERIANCE. When I first got netflix, I started watching Rescue Me (I can't start watching a show half way through.) And it finished up at season 5. After the series ended, they released the season 6 and 7 dvd. Two months later, on netflix, and I could finish up. Same thing with the fifteenth season of South Park. Two months.

But even if it isn't required, RB still hasn't finished its season. 18 episodes have been shown/announced, which means another 8 eppisodes for a 26 episode season. (ending the season late august/early september) so you most likely wouldn't see rescue bots untill november/december. And thats if there is no planned DVD release.

The best semblance of an explanation is that he survived and mutated by having G1 Megatron's spark inside him at the time, similar to how Optimus became Optimal Optimus with G1 Prime's spark. Being surrounded by lava influenced his mutation into a fire-based creature, a dragon. It's shaky, but no more shaky than being able to reconstruct a T-Rex alt mode from a skeleton or Waspinator being able to survive all the things he survives.

Still wish it wasn't that long off. This show is fantastic, yet it is SO hard to view for those who don't have the Hub and are unable to catch it on the day(s) it's put online. I'm dying for more people to see it in any way possible.

Because, you know, Beast Wars had the VERY FIRST animal transformers. There were no Dinobots, Insecticons, Terrorcons, or Predacons in G1, oh no. And Transformers is historically known for being a thrilling daytime drama, not a corny kids' show. Robots turning into cars? Legit. Robots turning into animals? WTF IS THIS CRAP. And hey! Sure, because having realistic disguises is such a sin in the Transformers media. Let them be crucified if there's ever TF that turns into a realistic-looking car or jet. Down with realism, up with fantasy!

Sure, because having realistic disguises is such a sin in the Transformers media. Let them be crucified if there's ever TF that turns into a realistic-looking car or jet. Down with realism, up with fantasy!

Cars and jets are understandable because they are mechanical but using something made of flesh and blood, that's corny. I mean some of the transmetal stuff was cool looking but I'm talking about the original beast wars. The idea was dumb, my opinion. You people are way too sensitive about someone stating their opinion.

There is no actual "flesh and blood". Their organic "skins" (for lack of a better term) are just external covers worn on the outside on their superstructures to better enhance the look of their altmodes.

If your seriously going to judge an entire show based entirely on an aspect of the characters' appearances, then that's no better than judging a whole country based on the clothes worn by its people.

So you're calling me a racist? You should watch what you say because you don't know anything about me. Yeah, I'm judging this particular show for the idea of animals turning into robots not because of what they look like. I don't like beast wars, opinion stated. Like what you want and get over it.

I apologize for the harshness of what I wrote and have amended it to have a different statement of less offense.

But the point that Beast Wars is more than mere animal robots still stands. Altmodes do not make a series.
