BotCon 2012 Custom Class Figure Revealed! Shattered Glass Longarm

looks like a cool toy. Classics version of Binaltech/Alternators Shockwave.

I want one really bad. I just refuse to pay after market prices.

Why in the world would they call it Longarm? That makes absolutely no sense. Unless there's some fiction/continuity I'm not aware of where Longarm is a sports car instead of the usual crane? The only Longarm I'm aware of that's NOT a crane is the 2007 Movie version, but even there they made him a tow truck so at least he still had an extending arm (in other words, a LONG ARM) with a hook.

since he's Shattered Glass, it might be that this Evil Autobot is infiltrating the Heroic Decepticon ranks by impersonating one of their high-ranking officers.

Truth be told, I'm not too sure how to feel about this. We Will just have to wait and see I guess.

Pretty plain... Like someone mentioned, its probably the Evil Longarm posing as Shockwave to enter the ranks of the Decepticons...

Of course, I'd forgotten about that, it kinda makes Longarm's disguise pointless. Unless this is what he looks like pre-disguise? In which case, Shattered Glass is making less and less sense as time goes on. Still, nice colours on a great toy, I wouldn't turn one down. Not gonna be scouring the aftermarket for one mind you, I might be Scottish, but I'm no Scrooge McDuck.

Or it is the heroic Decepticon infiltrating the Evil Autobot ranks (Makes more sense that Shockwave is still posing as Longarm, than Longarm as Shockwave).

Wow, this seems pointless

It's the same basic deal as Animated Cheetor: "How many homages can we fit into one figure?" Ani Cheetor was Beast Wars and TransTech in an Animated figure. This one is just on the surface Animated and Alternators in a Classics figure and that's without even knowing the back story they gave him!

Stuff like this is why I love being a Club member, they come up with the coolest new ideas from the history of Transformers!

Maybe he's a separate autonomaton operated remotely by SG Shockwave.

Did anyone else notice the car is missing it's driver's side front wheel and seems to be floating?

Finally for once a custom class figure nobody really cares about. Still hoping for CHMS versions of G2 Sideswipe and Minerva since they have both the molds. But Longarm ??? Waste...

According to TFWiki, SG Longarm is captain of the SG Autobot Autotroopers, and is going undercover posing as G1 Shockwave to investigate the conflict between the Classicverse and the Shatteredverse.

Looks pretty slick, I think. Something I can easily live without, but I think it looks really cool.

Longarm? I see no long arms.

This fig also comes with an unpainted Shockwave head, too... Odd that it's unpainted, but whatevs.

So Longarm is an evil autobot from the SG universe, who goes undercover as an evil decepticon in the classicsverse. This makes a little more sense as SG shock wave dosn't become a blody car, but maybe classicsverse shockwave dose. And you know what, THERE ARE TO MANY DAMN PARRALELL UNIVERSES. make it stop....

Just call him classics Full Tilt if you don't like him being SG Longarm. I'm using a CHMS purple Sideswipe with grey arms and legs myself for Full Tilt and this reminds me of it.

Those CHMS Sideswipes and seekers sure helped even the odds for the Decepticons on my classics shelf. Out of the SS kits I made Full Tilt, Fasttrack, G1 Breakdown and homages of the six cars from the Renegade Gobot Puzzler. For the Autobots I made Scamper, Deepcover, Tigertracks or REV, a Roadbuster colored fig I call Roadblaster with the leftover orange parts and some green parts, a grey police car with black arms and legs I call Speedtrap, and an unnamed and unaligned green car with the left over purple parts from Full Tilt. From the Hot Rod kits I made a black can with red parts to be sparkbot Sizzle, a red and white bot to be Sizzle's repaint Hot Spark, and a white and black bot that is Energon Checkpoint.

Looking for a name for the Green and purple Sideswipe guy and I figured out a use for red Sunstreaker, Guardian Gobot, Turbo.

Oh and sorry for the off topic rant but I had brought up the CHMS kits and decided to put that all here.

I'd love to get my hands on a kit like this. I don't care about the class, but it would fun to put the figure together. It would also need to be a new figure, cuz I ain't buyin' and buildin' another of what I already have. lol
