I decided not to buy the redeco toys, even thinking that they will be on the show. Now that I see they are not appearing makes me feel more comfortable with my choice.

I heard other people saying that but originally I thought it was just the shadow from the tree.

I believe we will see the wild, spikey decos in the show, but not until the Autobots come out of hiding after gathering back together with a 'plan to fight back' (i.e. upgrading to their new, more 'battle ready' spikey forms).

As for BB, he looks waaay better predominantly black with yellow accents in bot mode than the other way around.
I believe it is a successful redeco.

"Experience the 2013 Bumblebee on the Hub every Friday at 7:30 Eastern, 4:30 Pacific. The new episodes will blow your mind with the new looks and new characters and just wait until you see the Predacon! There are some amazing episodes, folks, and you won't want to miss them. Performance may vary from "Incredible to Awesome."
Hmmm...well I originally had given up on the 'Bots getting upgrades in the actual show except for Optimus. This makes me believe that they will since it says "new looks." Also, this promo along with the longer tv spot with Bulkhead narrating seems to scream we'll be getting several brand new Autobots to join Team Prime! I'm very excited for the premier!!

They can't even kill off Ironhide without people whining about it but since the live action movies Bumblebee has become almost as big as Optimus, so killing off Bumblebee would be hard.
I would like for him to be killed off but in reality it probably won't happen.

Agreed I think it looks much more sharp then the original.

I WILL say this though... I bought BH Bumblebee because out of all the Beasted Out Autobots I couldnt resist how Bad-ass he looks I am disappointed they didnt put him in this paint scheme, because that would've looked SUPER BA!!!
For all the crap BB gets for his repaints, I felt good getting the BH BB

I am thinking the "Beasty" modes will show up eventually...Afterall, we all know Hasbro wants to sell some toys ... If I had to guess, and it is just a guess, I am thinking final battle kinda stuff. Then again...maybe they wont lol

Yep, exactly what I'm thinking. Most of the season will consist of them hiding out, followed by them getting back together, getting upgraded to their spikey forms and taking on the Predacons and Decepticons and giving them the boot once and for all in the last bit of the season.

And this isn't just for you, but for others in general:
Gray toy, black show model.
Different yellow stripes layout.
Gray toy chin, yellow show chin.
Yellow toy forehead, black striped show forehead.
Only real thing in common is the placement of the yellow bits on the legs.

Agreed normally I don't give anything to Bumblebee's design because I think they are quite boring and obsolete.

Nonexistent?Megatron Wolf wrote:where are the spikes?
Not to mention that his toy isn't primarily black.

Megatron Wolf wrote:where are the spikes?
My guess is the spikes will come in at maybe a season finale, but if they are trying to hide from the predacons/decepticons spikes wouldn't be the best choice anyway.

Good job slowly stripping away everything that makes a character individual Hasbro.

You're upset that something is changing in a franchise about things that change?

You don't seem to have put much thought into that response.

When I had written this, I clearly had forgotten that they HAVE created a story in which Bumblebee gets killed off.
..Except that it's just not a cartoon or a movie. It was the G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers: The Art of War comic series, in which he was killed by Serpent O.R. (Serpentor), the Son of Megatron.
He dies, and doesn't come back. It's not even a heroic sacrifice, but a quick, cold-hearted murder.
And it's near the middle of the story, so the Autobots really don't have that much time to focus on his death, what with the then-current crisis at hand.
Though, they do manage to hold a funeral for him by his memorial at the very end of the final issue, but it too is quite a small and brief moment:
