Amazon Japan has updated their pre-order pages for Takara Tomy's upcoming Transformers Cap Bots with new official color images. The figures come in both Autobot and Decepticon versions, with slightly remolded faces between the two. Both are scheduled for a December release. Images mirrored below.

I was gonna buy the Decepticon one, since my Transformers flatbrim cap is an Autobot one, but these pictures have totally sold me on the Autobot one. The colors and face are too awesome. Must own.

Well, is there a story to go along with them? 'Cause I see interesting possibilities, mostly starting with a Decepticon mind-control plot.
Say, anyone remember that kids' show with the mannequin that came to life whenever someone put his magic hat on him? Well maybe the mannequin was actually a transtector...damn, If I could remember the name of that show, I'd already be researching it on Youtube for future fanfic.

The Megatron looks awesome, but I don't think I would ever actually pick one up. Cool idea though, like the shoes they released a few years back.

I could see if this were a Hasbro product that they could work with MLB, NHL, NFL and the NBA and license these out and have them in sports stadium souvenir shops
