ACtoys.net has posted a very in-depth comparison gallery of the two different 'I-Gear' and 'Gears of War' Autoscout cassettes.

Autoscout was a Soundwave launched cassette used to try to gain information on a new crystal energy source in the Generation One episode, "A Prime Problem".

The 'Gears of War' 3rd party creation has been available for a few months, but the 'I-Gear' version is soon-to-be-available to most online stores.

Check out the full gallery at ACToys.net, and some of the images downloaded below.

So while the TFC Gear of War version is smaller and matches the show's purple colors better, The I-Gear version has more show accuracy to it's credit (in terms of transformation and Cybertronian mode).
The only thing the gallery doesn't show is how well either of them fit (if they can into Soundwave -- be it an original or the 2007 Classics version/Soundblaster.)

Funny that all this fuss is coming from a crude aberation of the Ravage cartoon (cassette mode) model.

While I like this version better, I'm sticking with the GoW version.

I bought that for the weapons, and since I don't really care about this "character" the GoW version is good enough.

The GoW weapons kick all kinds of ass though.

I find it humourous that two separate groups are marketing the Autoscout.

While the TF002 certainly has more details, the Gears of War version is surely superior. It looks just like the cartoon! And the accessories? It really is a set to own. Big pass on the TF002 set.
