According to Japanese Transformers News Blog - Autobase Aichi, the Device Label Blaster (USB Hub) has been cancelled.
This product is initially schedule to be released on September 09, and delay until December 2009. Now we get the news that this product has been cancelled. Many Japanese toy shops has also suspended the pre-order for this product.

We hope to get confirmation from Takara Tomy soon, and we will bring you the latest development when it is available.

I don't see why they would cancel it, they had to spend a fortune in development. And it works, i've seen a prototype with the electronics installed function(speeds were not quite usb2.0, but higher than 1.1). This just doesn't make any sense. Maybe they're just going to release it under another name aside from Blaster and we'll still get the figure, like they said they were canceling the Dinobot mouse, but instead just renamed it. Here's hoping.

I think it would look excellent in Soundblaster decor, or even Twincast.

Functional or not, it's still a darn fine Blaster. Yeah, I would have paid for him. It's not like I haven't overpaid for far lesser figures.

I hope they either bring this guy out or announce a mold for a Universe 3.0 Soundwave/Blaster. It's been too long man. :cry:

No No No NO NOOO!

I already have a spot set aside for him, and he was the only TF I have been looking forward too since June. I got to preorder it for my birthday. And we have too much Soundwave as it is, don't just release it as Soundwave instead, PLEEEEEASSSEEE!!!

THIS MUST COME OUT SOON!!!

On the lighter side, I guess I'll get my DL Ravage and CC upgrade sooner, as Blaster was the only thing left in my POL that was still a pre-order.

As the saying goes: suspension does not mean cancellation. Knowing Takara, they're just delaying him until after the holidays, looking at the product being put out around that time.

Why would they cancel the main Hub but have the other 4 sets that go with it? Anyway, I am sad about this, but a redeco into Twincast would definitely be nice, but we have a ML Soundblaster but with a purple door. THe Hub as Soundblaster would need a retooled chest.

Well, the Chrono Label line was a $300 TF that went from blocky watch to unimpressive robot and back. I really can't blame them for cancelling that money-waster.

It says "入荷予定：発売中止". In English (google translation) = Stock: Cancel Date

Mixed feelings on this: It would suck if it was cancelled because it is an awesome idea and I would ACTUALLY really like to own one, but, at the same time, I had to cancel my preorder because I m fucking poor and trying to move, so if it doesn't come out that means I don't have to worry about not getting it.

I wonder if Ravage (Jaguar)/Tigatron sales contributed to this. TomyTak seems to be spreading out the release dates of these specialty lines so that if one product is successful, they make the next IE Alternity Convoy, Megs, BB, etc... In this case, if the sales numbers haven't been there for Jaguar/Tigatron, I would think that they'd be more apt to cancel the rest.

I have to wonder if this is about cost. They see that they got 40ish for just the small stuff (Ravage/Tig and Grim/Trypy), but 60ish for Blaster. One has to wonder if he will be "cancelled" and then after "fan outrage" be made anyway in 2010, only for 70ish or 80ish.

It could have been costing too much to make it and they didn't think they would make enought profit on it.

This would suck, cause 60 bucks for a oversized deluxe is about my limit, any more and I would be more likely to pass.

although, more than likely, they just have not updated their site yet.

It sucks. I've never actually had a Blaster fig, and thought this a cool update.

When Takara updated their website on Device Label abt a month ago, they included the jaguar thumb drives as well as the not yet released mouse (grimlock etc).
That time i just wonder why there is no blaster/USB hub? Maybe thats the early sign... hmmm...

If they are gonna scrap it, they may still use the mold. They could yank the electronics and put it out as a Universe deluxe when that returns.

I'd crap my pants in joy if Hasbro brought DL Blaster and ML Soundwave, sans electronics out in Uni 3.0. Particularly, if we got the white version of ML SW. I don't want to pay $80-$100 for a deluxe with some electronics I will NEVER use.
