While Blaster's is in Chinese, it offers a fairly comprehensive look at the various features. The other two are in English. Check them out and let us know what you think of them in the comments below.

What is that... odd object in the left side of the Blaster video?

Also, the Rewind and Wheelie videos are in english.

Yeah, that thing looks a bit...anatomically questionable. And that is the most Chinese-sounding Japanese I've ever heard.

It's pretty dumb to call me a pervert for saying that too if anyone was thinking of that. Most people who know anything about the human body know what that looks like. No Dr. Freud needed.

It's quite something to see how similar titan returns blaster is to his g1 counterpart and it's always good to see more of that wonderful wheelie mold, that's one ill be tracking down for sure.

That actually looks pretty dang awesome not gonna lie. Can anyone think of a character this could be retooled into for the TR line with a similar mode to this? (Perceptor)

Strictly speaking, nobody thanks to the combiner gimmick. Or they'd have to abandon the Titan Master idea and come up with 4 more new members for his team... Nah, too much of a headache :BOOM:

Starting from scratch with a similar transformation is the way to go.

Think again. They could use the same engineering as Rook for Perceptor, just like they did with Dead-end/Chromedome, and he can have both his Microscope mode, and a weird tank mode!

They could also use the same chest piece transformation as the original toy if they used the Rook mold, since the chest is positioned in the same way.

I could very easily see said chest being reworked into the Titan Master cockpit. Seeing as we apparently have a TR Perceptor coming and these TR guys seem to be much closer to the original toy designs than previous Generations lines; I think that's what we'll see.

Just so you know, its not a tank mode, its a laboratory mode according to the instructions:
Image

Its also completely bogus since this toy actually has a real tank mode for the microman line and if you transform it like below you will notice that all the wheels touch the floor and he can roll beautifully. He is probably one of the best tank transformers from G1 dut to his ability to interact with other figures to drive him:

Image

No clue why they thought of switching it, its not like the diaclone perceptor actually came with a microman figure anyway.

No, just a rumour that comes from the place all the rumours that eventually came true came from.

Weird... Well, at least it would be easy to homage that tank/"laboratory" mode with the Rook mold and still have a decent microscope mode. Thanks Kurona for that image of Rook! Now we all have a Perceptor out of it to hope for! :D

Btw, even if they didn't make the (Tank) mode look exactly like the g1 toy, they also have the original Generations Perceptor's alt mode to homage. Maybe they can do a mix homage?

that's ok (see: Chromedome) But I would prefer a new mold not really based on another. I'd be a bit disappointed if Perceptor were to use the Rook mold as a base design just completely reworked, the same way I'm a bit disappointed Nautica is rumored to be a reworking of Blurr/Brainstorm. :MAXIMAL:

I can't see perceptor being a deluxe though if I'm honest. A gut feeling I have is that he'll be voyager or perhaps leader, which may be awesome if they take full advantage and make a fun lab for the titanmasters to play around in.
Re: Early Video Reviews of Titans Return Blaster, Rewind, and Wheelie (1792676)

I can easily see Perceptor being a leader class if only due to the fact what he transforms into could be considered a 'base mode' to connect to Blaster and Max and all that.
Re: Early Video Reviews of Titans Return Blaster, Rewind, and Wheelie (1792683)

So in theory, we could have blaster, soundwave, prime and perceptor as bases to add to fort max. the mighty fortress would have 2 different boombox hangouts, some sort of combobled trailer, and a science lab.

Anyone else find that kinda awesome? :MAXIMAL:

If they could make the lab(or some other base mode) a tower then I'd be thrilled. We need some verticle bases to attach to Max!

That might make for sense for the line though I guess if they were to give him a microscope and tank mode if he were a voyager, since all the voyagers in Titans Return are triple changers.

Oh yeah, and I would hate a Nautica out of the Blurr mold.

Still, already designating one mold a redeco/retool cow... it's a bit too soon to really tell. Besides, I thought Chromedome only had one redeco in the form of Getaway.

A lot of those are for next year though, so they have 3 waves left to re-use them, so I wouldn't necessarily count them, but you are right; however some of them have some pretty obvious re-use potential seemingly built into them (megs = blitzwing/doucon guy), I'm sure others do as well, but I don't know this era of g1 well enough to speak on that.

I've been following the rumors for this line really closely and from everything that's been leaked/officially revealed there's enough figures for nearly 6 waves and two sets that I think are box sets. There's some reuse and some suspected reuse but there's a lot of new molds.

Still, like Combiner Wars, I'd say it's a safe bet we'll have two versions of each mold, body and separate head. Blurr has proven that by reusing Stylor.
