To make things a bit clearer, the pronunciation is supposedly German, as the kana read "Bo-ru-fa-n-gu", or "Vol-fah-ng". The reason he's made a new Destron/Predacon is probably to keep the overal numbering scheme consistent: Cybertrons had the odd designations, Destrons the even ones.
