So ravage isn't a chicken?

I think Blaze Master might be the only ROTF fig I'd buy

so ravage's alt mode is just a protoform meteor. oh well, its still wicked badass

Hmmm, Blaze Master alt is quite good! Icecream van is absolute WIN, that's a unique combiner if ever there was one.
Jetfire's kibble on the alt is absolutely terrible. That's the worst stealth plane (Blackbird SR-71) I've ever seen. Ravage seems to be this movie's Scorponok... I'll pass on him as well.

OMFG...ther is no way a Decepticon will be able to land a shot on that Ice Cream Truck! They'll be laughing too hard to hold their guns steady. It's like someone put an Autobot logo on those toy cars you get at Chevron Stations.
Hasbro gives us these BS figures for TF2 but they wouldn't make a full production Mt. Dew bot for us?????:-x

I never thought I would get to the point of wanting to turn on Hasbro but dammit somebody has to get through to these people. The fans are being flat insulted and ignored here. I'm not even excited about Ravage or Sideswipe anymore.
I'm not buying a single one of these plastic dogpiles from this new movie line. This whole line is a farce.

<Sigh> So much Negativity. The important thing is that 5 and 6 year-olds dig this; there's a lot more of them than there are of US, and they're the Target audience. I showed my 4 year old nephew(who's birthday is on June 26, I might add) these pics and he started freaking out! Of course, he'll never be able to handle anything Leader or even Voayeger-class, But he'll be able to work with the likes of Ravage and the Twins. Jetfire will be sweet; can't wait to combine him with Prime. Arcee's a bit weird but, you win some, you lose some.

I'm just glad we're getting another awesome summer Blockbuster based on our favorite alien robots. When we go to see this movie, Each and every one of us will proceed directly to a toy store and start buying these figures up. I'd bet real money on it.
B-)

Well gee by the looks of the pics we got yesterday and these we can say that Ravage is a TRIPLE CHANGER!

Robot Leopard

Robot Meteor and... wait for it... wait for it.

ROBOT CHICKEN! BWUK BUK GUK!

Course if you can make him essnetially a robot chicken, then Ravage can be both Ravage AND Laserbeak/Buzzsaw (by the looks of those spikes Buzzsaw would be more apt)

Jetfire looks kinda interesting, but with those headspikes, kinda reminds me of Murder Inc. from the old late 80s/early 90s Marvel Comics. A guy that could take limbs and body parts from dead people and use their attributes. But he had those spikey head spikes.

I wouldn't bet on it. Movie still looks terrible. Toys look worse. It's gonna be another year of non-purchases. Again with the charmless designs and lame cyber-punk details.

How about a robot with a face that doesn't include monster teeth or Jar Jar eyes?

I guarantee that every character will be paper thin and the the filmmaker's disdain for the property will only sharpen as more info on the film is "revealed."

Characters will do slightly better in that they'll have three of four lines each this time- only so they can explain the convoluted plot.

Lame across the board. Saw the toys on the shelf already- they look small, cheap and ugly. Not buying a single bit of merch for this.

Blaze Master looks awesome.

Ravage is cool, even though I'm not crazy about that alt mode shown there.

I like the Ice Cream truck!

WTF is that attached to Arcee? Is that supposed to be a side car, and if so, is it for midgets only?

Jetfire has the same problem as Universe Silverbolt: it's a robot attached to a plane, not a robot that transforms into a plane.

Yeah I agree with you, I'm not fooled by the choice cuts and the Trailer music into believing its more than it is, an epic farce. I had the same feeling before the first movie and I called it correctly this time Twitter will be the new Ebay.

have to admit blaze master looks good.

even the colour scheme is a nod in the direction of the original (micromaster)

heres hoping his personality the same as like blades he was a bit of a psycho who'd fit better with the deceps than the bots (only he can actually incenerate them as well as hack em up :)

i hope hes actualy in the film instead of just being a toy.

cant believe the ice cream truck is on the level though , i can only hope bay keeps the cheese to the minimum

Ravage is pretty nice, alt mode or no alt mode. I may get him and Voy. Megatron-and that's it.

The twins combiner is creative, I'll give them that. I'm sure Bay and Co. are pissed that this cat's officially out of the bag now. I bet they wanted more than anything for that to be a surprise.

I also think it's pretty bad that we're already getting the repaints and that in both cases, they look better than the original, IMO.

thanks for posting those mkall. dead end looks awesome(way better than sideways) and even though i like the head on swerve, i think it would have been easier for me to call him sideswipe if he had the same head as the silver one.

i am sooooooooo excited about the amount of money i will not be giving to hasbro for this line. i will buy some of the figs, soundwave, ravage, maybe a few others but because of these fugly TOY designs i can definitly wait to see the movie first before buying most of the toys because it looks like the deciding factor here will be if i like the charicter in the movie the toy might look more appeling. only time will tell...

Oh wow if that's true! I would totally be sold! That would make him a Targetmaster! I'm realy starting to like the boundaries that are being broken here. Like the twins for example with there combined alt. mode. instead of just combined robot mode.

Blaze Master reminds me of the Cybertron EVAC mould in terms of it's physical appearance.

And that Ice-cream van is just too delightful to pass down. However does so is clearly insane.

Ravage's altmode is confusing, but that robot mode is amazing.

Serve looks good too. Shame the GEEWUNers would say that that's how the mould should always have looked like, but hey, it's a new continuity with the name applying to a different character, like the other two times they already did that.

It just amazes me that everyone couldnt wait to see the new Transformer toys to come out, let alone the movie, but its rather disappointing everyone's trashing the new toys and didnt even hit the shelves yet! and some people are even trashing the movie, that isnt out yet and looks far better than the first one! I think people are basing everything G1 Bullshit, which its still kool, dont get me wrong, but Jesus Christ people, its 2009, not freakin 1984 and besides, Michael Bay is doing the directing, not any of us, so i say let the movie to hit the theaters and then we judge, just like when the ROTF figures hit the shelves, just pick up what you want, dont bash everything out there and yes before i forget, i know these are repaints and looks like Hasbro is heading down repaint road, just like before and always, but i guess if you out of ideas and on a budget, you would do repaints too! right? I gues for me, i'm just happy to see these giant robots that i grew up with, in a action film on screen come to life, but i guess some people dont see it that way.

I'm impressed they managed to use so many parts from what looks to be the Evac mould. However the bot mode looks balls.

Looks like I might have to depend on FansProject.

Me too, I'm surprised to see so many jumping the gun and slamming the rubber-stamp of FAIL on these toys from simply glancing at two-dimensional, photo-shopped and non-interactive pictures (though I honestly have no opinion on that ice-cream truck - it's appearance somehow compliments the picasso bots). How about hunting these figures down or borrowing them from someone you know who happens to have them, fiddling with their transformations, poseability and gimmicks THEN proclaiming fail (watching Peaugh's reviews is a good alternative)?

Alien robots, man, alien robots :) Despite their disjointed appearances, I like the cycle-sisters and well, I see it as a big step above the face-palming reuse of Energon Arcee's transformation scheme (Hasbro can only use it so many times, let crossover Spider-man be the last). What's more, their ability to combine (I believe!) makes it all the better! If I have any solid complaints, it's that Arcee's head appears to be a straight repaint of Chromia's.

The repaints of Sideswipe and Sideways is cool, but having remolded heads there is...unexpected (also, isn't the name Dead End already used for the scout-class decepticon?). Jolt looks okay, robot-mode seems rather FAB-ish, and those electro whips look lame, but that's just about it. Mmm-hmm, looks like this is gonna be a good year for movie collectors.

lol. The robot modes don't match either. Blaze Master is clearly a new mold. He may have been inspired by a previous figure, but he's obviously not a repaint.

Swerve definitely looks cool (especially with different head sculpt than Sideswipe's) and why exactly didn't Michael Bay go with this color originally for Sideswipe since RED was his color since G1? Not to mention there is already a silver car Decepticon (Sideways) in this movie. Completely different cars, but in robot mode and going hand-to-hand, one might get the two confused. Anyway, I figure that once I purchase these, Swerve will become Sideswipe and the silver Sideswipe will become Blurr. I will probably buy a second silver Sideswipe or a second Swerve and paint him up to be Sunstreaker.

The Ravage alternate transformation is different. I'm guessing a flying recon vehicle type thing. But I like St. Even's idea of it becoming Megatron's cannon arm. The problem with that is that Megatron will already have a cannon arm. However, if Ravage fits on like a Mini-con and that increases the cannon's firepower, then that theory is definitely doable. I wonder if Ravage affixes to Soundwave in some matter.

The twins becoming an Ice Cream truck is hilarious. I'm guessing it's the first thing their protoforms scan and thus they become it. The other Autobots convince them to change into something else (if only for humiliation reasons) a little more discreet than a music playing, extremely slow, having to stop for kids all the time Ice Cream Truck.

Now that I've seen Chromia and Arcee, I'm waiting for the third Female Autobot motorcycle. Anyone know if these three combine to become a larger Female Robot? That was a rumor I had originally heard back when the movie was first being made. To look at Arcee's and Chromia's robot forms, it looks like that theory is also doable.

I just tried to click on the links to go back to Wal-Mart to look at these figures again, but the pics have been removed. I'm betting Wal-Mart posted the pics too soon and Hasbro got pissed.

He does suffer from robot-strapped-to-plane/plane-strapped-to-robot disease, but I'll hold judgment 'til I see a proper picture of his combined mode w/ Prime. Hopefully the earlier pic was horribly mis-transformed!

You guys know by now that I'm usually not (or wasn't) one to slam an entire line. I've been rolling with the punches with these toys for 25 years now and even though Beast Wars took a little extra time (not much) for me to get used to, I warmed up to it fast. Even TFA is starting to grow on me a lot. This new movie line, however has had too many examples of concepts being rushed and figures being slammed out just for the sake of doing it and not for the sake of creating an enjoyable toy. As I've also said before, if it were just me spouting about it that would be one thing but my kids are chiming in with the same gripes and I try really hard not to influence their opinions. There have been times when I have actually let them influence mine and they have swayed me towards liking a figure (I actually bought Legends Wheelie...and like it. WTF?!) but even the kids are complaining about aspects of this new line. I may cave later and buy three figures at most but I have nowhere near the desire that I did for the first movie round of figures and my respect for Hasbros creativity and quality is dropping rapidly. I'm not a "G1 Purist" and I love the path the Movies are taking but the toys are simply, with a few notable exceptions, uninspiring and it's not just the Movie line that is afflicted with this problem. Universe began suffering the same fate to the point where I could honestly care less what, if any, new figures come out for that line between now and Christmas. Wheelie and Warpath were the last 2 figures to excite me after I got Prowl so that tells you how enthused I am about the rest of that line. Hasbro just doesn't "have it" any more. Spark is fading, about to go offline and there's no magic CR chamber that's going to bring it back.
