While the flagship store of childhood dreams, FAO Schwarz, celebrates it's 150 years in business, Transformers make a guest appearance. The 5th Avenue New York, NY Fao Schwarz is currently displaying a museum of sorts that honors significant toys from years past. Among them are a few figures we all might recognize. Specifically the 1984 "Generation One" Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Gears and Warpath.

Why is Bumblebee half-transformed...? Besides that, this is pretty cool. Always nice to see G1 get honored.

EDIT: Just noticed Warpath is in there too. Why didn't he get a mention?

I noticed that too! Maybe someone should have told them...

He is rather hard to see.

Great to see G1s! Nice that someone remembers them and has an appreciation for things that are older than them...

Probably to show anyone not familiar with the original products "Hey, these transform too! They're not just toy cars! See he's doing it right now - what a special little guy!" Probably targeted mostly to kids who grew up thinking the movie stuff was all there was.

As for Warpath, clearly his in-your-face attitude and sexual innuendos were just too much for a small toy shop like FAO Schwartz to comfortably advertise. Because FAO is so very, very small.

But, tanks are cool. So that's probably why they threw it in there >:oP

That does make sense, but considering the rest are fully transformed, you'd think they'd add some explaination or have multiple 'Bees showing the transition from robot to vehicle. It is nice to see the other 3 minibots get respect though, since in this age, everything is about Bumblebee. :KREMZEEK:

FAO Schwarz*
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers*

Sorry, those typos were bothering me to death. Anyway, I miss the FAO Schwarz we used to have here in Orlando, FL. That place was awesome, great to see they are celebrating an amazing milestone for a company. I wonder how many different toys they had in the cases throughout the store now...?

Bumblebee looks like he fell over, like maybe thats an old and used toy so stuff is loose and he just keeled over and they either havent noticed yet or dont wanna bother fixing.

another thought was they just wanted to keep him on his back but then his "toes" would be pointed up if that were the case.

Warpath probably got excited he was on display so he shot his canon in celebration little did he know the glass was laser resistant, rest in peace little bumblebee. Either that or Bumblebee got tired of being confused with the bumblebee that pees on things and just ended it all.
