| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813200) Posted by Autobotic9 on October 15th, 2008 @ 7:17am CDT Thank god i held out on ironhide yet. I was gonna henkei it because i knew his face should not be blue. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813207) Posted by Diem on October 15th, 2008 @ 7:24am CDT Glad that he didn't say no to anything. Shame he didn't say yes to anything either. I also "hope" we see some Headmasters soon. I too "really like" the combiner idea. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813220) Posted by Counterpunch on October 15th, 2008 @ 7:44am CDT
I don't think they can say 'yes' to anything. These Q & A sessions are almost always just a teaser event. Always just enough to get you interested, but not enough that a statement is unretractable.
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813236) Posted by HighPrime on October 15th, 2008 @ 8:04am CDT Everyone should be charging to the stores to pick up Ironhide now before it's too late. In 10 years people will be "coveting" the blue face | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813240) Posted by Diem on October 15th, 2008 @ 8:06am CDT Sadly that means that all these answers need to be taken with a pinch of salt... Grr...who do I have to shag to get Universe Horrorcons? | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813260) Posted by Auto Bot on October 15th, 2008 @ 8:33am CDT I'm a bit lost here. Was there a Universe 2.0 Voyager Onslaught? Is this gonna be a new mold? Or just a typo error? Ultra? Voyager? | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813263) Posted by Delta Supreme on October 15th, 2008 @ 8:37am CDT Wait a minute... It'll be "too much for us to stomach" getting a headmaster Sunstreaker, but we can get a "cartoon accurate" repaint of 'screamer within a year??? You'd think that adding a whole new head system would be a much more substantial (read purchasable) remold than the upteenth straight up repaint of the F15 seeker mold... | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813276) Posted by Counterpunch on October 15th, 2008 @ 8:47am CDT
The cake is a lie. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813278) Posted by Diem on October 15th, 2008 @ 8:48am CDT
The Starscreams are well over a year apart. And if you think a seeker mould won't sell you need to lurk moar.
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813280) Posted by Sledge on October 15th, 2008 @ 8:57am CDT So the test shot images of Cyclonus are what some of us said they probably were? Cool. Now I'd like someone to explain again how these stolen items ending up on ebay is always good for Hasbro. And jeez, I wish people would stop requesting obscure shit. Headmaster Sunstreaker? Yeah, good one. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813294) Posted by Counterpunch on October 15th, 2008 @ 9:17am CDT
Classics Skywarp and Acid Storm need a word with you.
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813297) Posted by Hard Hacker on October 15th, 2008 @ 9:20am CDT More Headmasters will be a welcome addition to the collection. Well, mine anyway. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813305) Posted by Powersa on October 15th, 2008 @ 9:31am CDT I'm suprised that someone from Hasbro admits that the blue face on Ironhide is a mistake. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813313) Posted by Nickolai on October 15th, 2008 @ 9:45am CDT Is this one of those hobbies/secondary markets where if, say, only about 5-10% of the Universe Ironhides came out with the blue face they'd be worth $$$ to collectors? | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813321) Posted by dragons on October 15th, 2008 @ 9:51am CDT ironh hide hace is blue? im going to have to check that out well it looks like cyclonus problem is fixed so all of us in the us may not have to go to get henkei version only of cyclonus thats good to here. thats good they fixing these issues i thought they where getting lazy and shipping any figure no matter wht they llook like | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813325) Posted by Counterpunch on October 15th, 2008 @ 9:55am CDT
No. Read up on Energon Optimus Prime.
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813329) Posted by bcm77 on October 15th, 2008 @ 9:58am CDT It's nice that the Universe Cyclonus is not going to look as half assed as in the most recent pics but I'm still going to see what the Henkei version is like first. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813495) Posted by Megatron Wolf on October 15th, 2008 @ 1:55pm CDT Wait Ironhide has a blue face? Any one got a pic so i can see? | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813568) Posted by breakthru on October 15th, 2008 @ 2:45pm CDT Won't affect me. I'll be holding out for the Henkei versions anyway. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813588) Posted by TCJJ on October 15th, 2008 @ 3:06pm CDT Yay, I got credited for the mention of this subject. I'm happy to hear about Cyclonus. Headmasters would rule - who on Earth wants a Sunstreaker Headmaster first though?! Maybe they're from Cybertron... Okay, bad joke. Ironhide is not even out in New Zealand yet, as far as I can recall, so hopefully he doesn't have a blue face in our first shipment but I'll wait just in case, since the EMP generator gimmick for Animated Ratchet that was stuffed and fixed in later releases wasn't fixed in the early shipments to New Zealand and I had to "fix" mine (okay, so it holds the EMP generator but no longer activates it. Better than vice versa). Exciting news, today. This along with all the other news like that awesome-looking Armada Hotshot (and that badass Jolt) is really making my day! | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813621) Posted by Delicon on October 15th, 2008 @ 3:31pm CDT I for one will probably end up buyiong both Ironhides, especially if they stay $7.77 at Wal-Mart. You never know when a variant will be worth money, especially since I haven't heard any word on how many Ironhides came out the first way. If there are already tens of thousands out there, it's a totally different story. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813630) Posted by Savage on October 15th, 2008 @ 3:44pm CDT Ironhide and Sideswipe havent shown up in my area yet, but now I'll be sure to check Ironhide's face color before I buy one. Coincidently, anyone know if his face can be seen well enough to determine color while he's packaged? | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813634) Posted by OPTIMUS MAGNUS on October 15th, 2008 @ 3:48pm CDT
Unfortunately not. Luck of the draw with that one unless someone gets a silver face to sell/trade.
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813638) Posted by OPTIMUS MAGNUS on October 15th, 2008 @ 3:51pm CDT
Closest one I could find. It belongs to someone here at Seibertron. ![]()
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813641) Posted by Sowndwave76 on October 15th, 2008 @ 3:56pm CDT I'm still getting the Henkei version of Ironhide... Right now I'm thinking Hasbro's Cyclonus will suffice, but we'll have to see what Henkei can muster up. Thanks for sharing, CP. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813650) Posted by shortround on October 15th, 2008 @ 4:05pm CDT Well I'm glad I have baby blue ironhide should be worth some money down the line. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813658) Posted by partholon on October 15th, 2008 @ 4:18pm CDT ok im probably being spectacularly dumb here but what other headmaster have they done already? first master i thought they did was target master cyclonus! | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813675) Posted by Agent 007 on October 15th, 2008 @ 4:30pm CDT me thinks I'll hold off on Ironhide for a bit then. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813725) Posted by joeformer on October 15th, 2008 @ 5:13pm CDT I think there are way too many repaints but if they can change something about the figure its makes it interesting. headmasters ia a great idea and sunstreaker with hunter is an awesome idea. we have 90 million seekers molds why not this one? | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813727) Posted by Sledge on October 15th, 2008 @ 5:18pm CDT Because I will slap to death the person who makes Hasbro make that retarded idea instead of a Universe Snapdragon. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (813808) Posted by Diem on October 15th, 2008 @ 7:36pm CDT
Di-bloody-tto. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (814301) Posted by SentinelA on October 16th, 2008 @ 12:28pm CDT This news about Ironhide makes me rethink getting the Henkei. Still hate the OREGON tag. If they're gonna do Cyclonus in the right color maybe they're fix Brawn and Beachcomber. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (814360) Posted by Dagon on October 16th, 2008 @ 2:07pm CDT
Yeah. When we clamor for a headmaster Sunstreaker, I think we as a collective fandom need to go outside and play or chase girls or something.
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (815025) Posted by Dread_Wing on October 17th, 2008 @ 6:17am CDT Surely the easiest way to do a headmaster Sunstreaker is just to reissue the Universe 2.0 Sunstreaker (maybe with some black paint apps, I painted mine, it looks a lot better) and instead of the rising head, just have a ball joint peg or socket of some sort rise up. Then have the headmaster attach. Instant headmaster with neck movement, and cheap as hell to do. (Compared with a completely new mould) | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (815044) Posted by Dachande on October 17th, 2008 @ 7:29am CDT Blue face or silver face, Ironhide still looks like a "re-built after a massive explosion" SUV. If they could fix the horrendous joins and baby-blue windows, I'll consider purchasing one. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (815401) Posted by jduckworth27 on October 17th, 2008 @ 3:07pm CDT the universe ironhide has one of the worst alt modes i've ever seen. it's too bad. the character deserves a lot better than what has been released. the bot mode is ok i guess, but man that "suv" mode looks like crap. | |
| Re: Hasbro Responds RE: Universe Cyclonus & Ironhide (818510) Posted by Auto Bot on October 21st, 2008 @ 7:17am CDT I agree. Ironhide suv mode is short of expectation. Especially with all the diagonal criss-cross slices. | |
