Hasbro's website has been updated with a new ad with the slogan, 'Create your own POWER UP OPTIMUS PRIME'.

When the DECEPTICONS seems to have won victory and end the world as we know it OPTIMUS PRIME will be powered up combining him with parts from JETFIRE to create the most powerful AUTOBOT ever. When you buy the Leader Class OPTIMUS PRIME and Leader Class JETFIRE you can combine these two toys to create the POWER UP OPTIMUS PRIME.

While not exactly anything new, the Ad offers Hasbro's rendition of Power Up Optimus Prime and it's accompanying wallpaper.

Jet Optimus looks pretty good. Optimus looks much better here than the previous Leader class.
But what does 'Create your own POWER UP OPTIMUS PRIME' mean? They make it sound like there are different combinations you could do...

I think the ad is just referring to the ability to adjust your Jetfire/Optimus Prime combination to create more than one unique form. There are fanmodes of Power-Up Optimus Prime that look nifty. Also, the official configuration for connecting JF and OP's feet restrict lower body articulation greatly. If you reverse the position and forego using the blue plastic connector that clips onto the underside of OP's pelvis component, which restricts thigh articulation, you get a Power-Up Optimus Prime with great lower body articulation.

Wonder how many combination of Jetfire and Prime there is out there? Does that mean Hasbro/Takara intended for these fanmodes by creating possibilities?

I am more inclined to think that it is serendipity rather than anything on Hasbro/Takara's part. Some figures just have more potential for fanmodes.

I guess so, but it sure would've been a conspiracy if Hasbro/Takara actually intended for this to happen.

I'm pretty sure Hasbro/Takara are part of the Illuminati.

I'm thinking that Hasbro noticed some of the potential of the combined figures as well as the fanmodes people have been playing around with so it makes sense to incorporate the idea in advertising. It supplements the concept of getting 2 toys or more in 1 that is part of appeal of the Transformers toyline.

Hey guys, Ive been trying to find a Leader Class Jetfire here in Miami Florida or Broward County. It's like he never existed. Just found Optimus and tons of Megatrons in Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, and Toys-R-Us for the last 4 months. I have no credit to order online so I was wondering if anybody is from south Florida and has seen Jetfire for sale and where ???

Thanks....please let me know
