ok this has to stop... i can't take it anymore... they're promising my 2 favorite characters in devastator and sideswipe...and sideswipe has swords... this all sounds amazing and my expectations are now through the roof... please let all this be true. i won't be able to handle it if it isn't.

Are we gonna get confirmation that Soundwave will in fact be a 1980's Cassette player from Hasbro Alpha Centauri next? Prime and Jetfire combining? Why? Oh wait, yes, to combat the Constructicons, right. Nevermind the fact that the scale size of Primes Peterbuilt truck and Jetfires SR-22 Blackbird are NO WHERE NEAR COMPATIBLE!

If whats said so far is true, this movie' gonna suck.

These "confirmations" by TFW are highly suspect. Either they provide proof or it didn't happen.

What Sideswipe is now a silver corvette with a pair of samarai swords and on rollerskates? The more I hear the more absurd it gets everytime. I was disappointed with the first one. The second one is going to be even more of a disaster. Poor transformers! These days Hollywood can't even get Transformers right.

Sideswipe, huh? Well, while I was hoping for Tracks, I'm happy with Sideswipe. Looking forward to Ravage, I hope he's totally vicious. Devastator combiner could be promising, I'll keep my fingers crossed that they don't totally screw it up. Prime and Jetfire combining? Not really fond of this idea. It worked out ok in AEC, but I'd rather not see superlinking in this film. Still, I suppose if its done well, I can live with it, and it gives all the AEC kids something from their era in the film.

This will be EPIC! I just hope that devastator will pwn everyone.

well im excited that sideswipe (2nd favorite nxt to jazz) is in the movie and that he is the covette. I was really scared that he was gonna be the little red car and sunsreaker was gonna be the little greenish/yellowish car (im not sure which one is the beat and which one is the trax). im not to happy about him being silver. I understand the need for updated cars and designs, but Bay could pay a little homeage and keep them the original colors.

If Sideswipe is the 'vette - then thank gawd he's a sports car. No way I could handle him being a Trax or Beat. This definitely takes him away from being one of the twins that makes up the Ice Cream Truck.

So - who makes up the Ice Cream Truck? We've seen 3 motorcycles....one of which is Arcee. Is it possible the other 2 make up the Ice Cream Truck? Would this be Twin Twist and Top Spin? Both make excellent names for motorcycles. I'm still not buying the Trax and Beat as the ICT...they're too big AND they're not twins!!

A silver Sideswipe? ewww!!! I might have to pass on him if this bit of information is true to the end, but Devastator I wouldn't mind owning another one, as long as he looks cool and not some garbled looking Transforming erector set.

I still think this Corvette's an ugly peice, but I'm now obliged by it's name to buy the toys.

The whole prime, jetfire combining thing coud be done similar to Ultra magnus. Where jetfire is more of an exosuit to prime for when they fight devastator. Instead of jetfire making primes legs or something like that.

I was personally hoping that the CORVETTE would be Tracks...cuz, y'know, that'd actually make sense.

Totally agree about the Jetfire/Optimus combo being akin to Ultra Magnus' armor. That's the only way I can see the size issue working, unless Jetfire were to just clamp on to Optimus' back for a simple kind of flight mode. And silver or not, the car looks pretty cool and at least they're using old G1 characters, if only their names. I mean I really liked Blackout, but they didn't even name him Vortex- look at it that way. Besides, Sideswipe is one of my favorites, him and Wheeljack (see my amalgamated name). Remember how he was the only one with a jetpack and Optimus had to use it in one of those early episodes? That was cool. And dude! Soundwave! DEVASTATOR!! I think this one has potential.

Devastator confirmed???? YES!!!! A combiner I will get my mits on. Along with Megatron, Optimus, And Jetfire for combining, these are the definite sets I will get from this movie. What a great day!

Well it's been confirmed that there are 3 times as many Transformers in the new movie which would put the number around 30 robots, yet we've only seen a handful on the sets. I wonder who the others will be.

I remember seeing an Audi R8 on the set awhile back. I wonder who that will be.

Maybe somebody made a mistake and the name "Sideswipe" is just a placeholder. Maybe the Corvette is Wheeljack or Silverstreak It doesn't really matter cuz Whoever it is, they'll be badass. And like someone else said, maybe in robot mode there will be a alot of red showing to please G1 fans.

I can see Frenzy coming back and riding ravage like a horse while chasing Sam LOL!

Sideswipe's not a corvette. Sideswipe's not red. Sideswipe doesn't use swords. Blah blah blah blah - for Christ sake, it ain't news that this isn't a G1 movie. How many characters have reused the same names from G1 that were, essentially, transferred onto whatever show they were in?

Megatron? Tankor? Starscream? Hot Shot? Optimus Prime (or Primal?) Soundwave? Prowl? Ravage? Arcee? SIDESWIPE <--- all these names reused on characters who may, OR MAY NOT have bore ANY resemblance to the original G1 namesake. Still, they were accepted as such. So what's the difference here? Is it just that people want to find some excuse to complain about shit?

I agree a little bit with Wolfguard. At most, SOME Movie TFs look quite a bit like their namesakes, but most don't look anything like their namesakes. Bumblebee is yellow. That's it. Starscream is a jet. That's it. Ratchet is an ambulance and a medic, and that's it. None of these guys actually look ANYTHING like ANY version of their namesake that's come before.

Same for this Vette. If the leaked photo is to be believed, the robot mode and, specifically, the face, don't particularly look like any given TF. Not Tracks, not Blurr, not Hot Rod, not Sideswipe. So what?

Since he's at least a Vette, and he reminds me of a modernized Stingray, I'm callin' him Tracks. Since the bot mode and the face don't remind me of anyone in particular, but the car at least reminds me of Tracks, then that's who he is, and I don't give a crap what he's called in the Movie or what his box says. :p

Besides, we already got a modern version of Sideswipe: Classics/Universe Sideswipe.

IT's nice to have Sideswipe and Ravage around. Sideswipe being one of my favorites back in G1 days.

Megatron in that crappy alien tank thing is really bad bad news. That's gonna suck big time.

(By the way, I think that Vette car looks more like Tracks. But i'm ok with Sidewipe.)

I think silver is not bad. I'm don't require this new Movie continuity to conform to G1 traditions.

But still, to put some colors into some of these cars will be better. Or else, he'll look like a generic Decepticon. Just like the Decepticon characters in the first movie. It's not easy to distinguish one from another, unless you're a TF fan.

There are pictures out there, but some of them have been removed by the request of Hasbro and Paramount.

you know what would be awesome if devastator would step on prime and jetfire crushing them killing them. then optimus primal comes and takes over no offense i like prime but
