| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946505) Posted by First-Aid on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:20pm CDT
I'll hold on Grindor, but count me in on the rest. Maybe I'll get Dead End if I find a job sometime soon...for now I only buy new molds and wait on repaints.
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946507) Posted by OPTIMUS MAGNUS on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:23pm CDT Jolt, Blazemaster and Long haul shall be mine. I really wish they would do a leader Blackout or Grindor. I am not the biggest fan of the voyager mold. I think I like Grindor's colors better though. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946511) Posted by Megatron Wolf on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:25pm CDT Im liking Jolt, Dead End & Long Haul. Blazemaster i might get. I like the bio but i want to see more of the figure. Ill pass on the rest. Any word on when these are suppose to come out? | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946514) Posted by Rodimus_light on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:30pm CDT Twins and Long haul have been a must buy since I first saw them. I might get Jolt just because I am tempted to get everyone in the movie and he was cool for the little he did. Grindor is a pass since I have blackout and Deadend I might get just because the deco is better than Sideways I think. Are we ever going to see the third Arcee toy? | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946516) Posted by chrisxc on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:32pm CDT does anyone have an idea when these are gonna come out?? Gotta pick up the twins, jolt, and long haul | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946518) Posted by DMSL on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:35pm CDT I'll get Jolt and Long Haul, don't care for the others. Wake me up when Hasbro makes a Leader Class Blackout. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. He needs to be bigger than the current Leaders though, shoulden't be a problem just have him squatting in the packaging bend knees and all. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946521) Posted by YRQRM0 on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:40pm CDT I'm dissapointed there's no leader Grindor/Blackout by now, especially after the forest battle, where you can clearly see Grindor's the size of Optimus. Or at least a leader Starscream. Really, Longhaul should be leader, too. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946532) Posted by Delicon on July 1st, 2009 @ 6:58pm CDT
I understand and agree for "scale purposes" but you have to look at it from a marketing perspective. People like us might buy that giant Grindor for $45 but how many other people (including parents) will want to plunk down that much money for a character whose main claim to fame in the movie is getting his head ripped apart? It has to be a really popular character to justify a leader class from a dollars and cents perspective. Then again, they did it with Brawl 2 years ago so who knows?
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946538) Posted by Zeds on July 1st, 2009 @ 7:03pm CDT Pass on all except Long Haul maybe. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946558) Posted by Wheeljack144 on July 1st, 2009 @ 7:42pm CDT Definitely Long Haul, maybe Jolt. Possibly Blazemaster? So when do we get a Scrapper? Voyager Soundwave would be nice. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946571) Posted by UltraPrimal on July 1st, 2009 @ 7:56pm CDT I can't wait for Long Haul. He may have done nothing in the movie, but he's pretty cool in the game. Shame Sideways doesn't have his kickass sniper rifle or I would have bought him instead of waiting for Dead End. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946572) Posted by Giant Purple Griffin on July 1st, 2009 @ 7:57pm CDT Definitely want all the four of those deluxes and Long Haul! | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946579) Posted by Giant Purple Griffin on July 1st, 2009 @ 8:10pm CDT So then the wave 5 deluxes will probably be Arcee, Swerve, Gears, and Thrust--I think those are the only other deluxe toys that we've seen previews of. The only other Voyager we've seen is G1 Mixmaster I believe. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946583) Posted by DoubleOScorpio on July 1st, 2009 @ 8:32pm CDT I like Dead End. I think he's close enough to the G1 version to stand beside Universe Drag Strip. Is anyone else planning on using Dead End in their classic-verse? | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946590) Posted by soundwave13c on July 1st, 2009 @ 8:48pm CDT Jolt and long haul are mine | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946633) Posted by Down_Shift on July 1st, 2009 @ 10:34pm CDT My god, Blazemaster has got to be the worst looking Transformer ever pumped out of a movie line. So friggin' pass | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946634) Posted by bumble_bee_68 on July 1st, 2009 @ 10:35pm CDT Pass on all, except Jolt and the Twins - for my GF | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946674) Posted by SentaiPRFan on July 1st, 2009 @ 11:36pm CDT I SOOOO cant wait for the twins. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946683) Posted by Blurrz on July 1st, 2009 @ 11:47pm CDT Jolt. That's it. Twins will be smaller than a Scout... not good. I'll be buying all of those Robot Heroes, however XD | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946705) Posted by WheelJacked on July 2nd, 2009 @ 12:29am CDT I'll definitely be getting Long Haul. The rest are pretty much up in the air. I'd like to see better pics of Jolt and The Twins just to get a better idea on the articulation and actual size. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946736) Posted by Jacob P. Galvatron on July 2nd, 2009 @ 2:51am CDT I like Jolt, Blazemaster, and Longhaul. Probably won't get them anytime soon, though. I've decided to get some Animated figures. Never got any until Swoop last week, and now I want some! | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946759) Posted by Nightwalker on July 2nd, 2009 @ 4:06am CDT Yes, we all know by now what these dudes look like. I want to see Arcee now! | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946762) Posted by DMSL on July 2nd, 2009 @ 4:25am CDT
You do make good points there, but if the Leader Class Blackout is well made i am sure there will be enough sales generated by TF collectors alone. Also Blackout did more than just get his face ripped apart, remember in TF1 he completely wrecked a military base. Now someone will probably slap me over the head for that and say "he's not Blackout, he is Grindor". Well he looks exactly the same and no name is given in the movie so i will just go ahead and assume he is the same character and they resurrected him like they did with Megatron.
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946787) Posted by Stockade on July 2nd, 2009 @ 5:57am CDT Everyone wants to know the release date or month for Long Haul and Grindor, its October for them, not sure on the rest which it could be the same date too, but release dates are always subject to change... But yes Long Haul for sure and I mean for sure. Long Haul = BadAss Grindor, just looks better than Black out, just like Whirl is better than Evac...at least i think so.. Jolt for sure, since he help combine Jetfire and Prime pass on the twins, if their scouts or smaller Deadend just better looking in everyway than Sideways Blazemaster, I'll have to see it in my hand, then the buying might happen. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946915) Posted by Shortround_ on July 2nd, 2009 @ 10:07am CDT I so agree with DMSL I just assumed, like many other people that if the decepticons revived megatron on the ocean floor, they would also revive Blackout. But if it is a different bot then there is almost no obvious difference between the two. But they'll probably end up making a leader blackout if starscream doesn't steal the spot. Gonna end up getting the twins( no matter how terrible the bot modes are) and longhaul only if there isn't a bonecrusher for this line. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (946917) Posted by prowl123 on July 2nd, 2009 @ 10:11am CDT The only one up there thatI dont want is Dead End. His head is too Cybertron Red Alert for me. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (947126) Posted by Superior Prime09 on July 2nd, 2009 @ 3:49pm CDT Long Haul and the Twins, maybe Grindor-since I liked him in the game. Good thing i didn't buy the two pack at TRU, big disappoint to realize that wasn't Grindor. Oh got Scalpel, Dune Runner, Smokescreen and Interrorgator Barricade. And Ratchet and Cannon Bumblebee. Going to see TF: RoTF tomorrow! | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (947542) Posted by cannonfodder4000 on July 3rd, 2009 @ 9:24am CDT im definetly getting long haul the twins im also getting two dead ends and repaint them as runabout and runamuck maybe jolt | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (947673) Posted by Sabrblade on July 3rd, 2009 @ 2:38pm CDT But the first movie showed Blackout to be (dark) blue, and the chopper in this film was definitely gray. Plus, the Cons only had one All spark shard, and it was put in Megatron only, like how Sam's shard was sucked into Jetfire. And if it were Blackout, don'tcha think he would have parts from other Cons on him like they had to do with Megs? | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (947863) Posted by Blurrz on July 3rd, 2009 @ 6:11pm CDT I just don't think people get it. The probability of a 5th Leader is astoundingly low. First of all, we've already got Leader Starscream under production. We've also got the likelyhood of the 3 existing Leader Classes, Megatron, Optimus and Jetfire being repainted 1-2 times. Take into consideration the economy and the fact that there's something even bigger (Supreme Devastator), I'm frankly sure Hasbro's going to be reluctant to invest in the bigger Class sizes. Also, I don't see Blackout really selling well as a Leader Class. The only reason RotF Jetfire is getting any action is because he combines with Prime. Prime is Prime, he'll always be bought. Megatron is Megatron... always will be bought. Starscream is a fan favorite , no matter what line he's in. Going back to the 2007 Movie, Brawl's Deluxe version was nuked, so the Leader was well receipted. Blackout..... I just don't see it selling very well. Yeah, there will be a fan base buying it, but not exactly everyone will in the fanbase. I've got money problems, we all do. No way in hell I'm dishing out around $250 on Leader Class figures, where most of the figures have a Voyager Class Version already. And think about it... what will the difference between the Leader and Voyager class be? Okay, they add guns to Blackout. It's a freaking helicopter, and that type of alternate mode is already semi-dimensional. Whether it's Blackout/Grindor, it's died two times. And Dead TFs that don't combine to other transformers, or aren't well known will not sell well. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (947881) Posted by Wolfman Jake on July 3rd, 2009 @ 6:45pm CDT All of these upcoming deluxes and voyagers look like worthy purchases. Jolt: I love blue cars, and Jolt looks very cool in bot mode as well. Blazemaster: News chopper alt mode? Awesome. Ice Cream Truck Twins: Looks goofy as heck, but again, an alt mode never really seen before in Transformers. Dead End: I like the Sideways mold, and this repaint looks a lot more interesting than the solid silver with scant few black highlights for alt-mode that Sideways received. Grindor: I know a lot of people are underwhelmed by the 2007 Blackout mold, but I've always liked it quite a bit. This color scheme is fantastic as well. Long Haul: Probably the Constructicon I've been looking forward to the most. Great looking alt-mode and a much more traditional looking bot mode for a Bayformer Constructicon. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (947903) Posted by Cyber Bishop on July 3rd, 2009 @ 7:35pm CDT I will most likely pick up Long Haul and Jolt. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (948608) Posted by prowl123 on July 5th, 2009 @ 8:35am CDT All of these besides the Robot Heroes and that stealth bumblebee thing are worthy to be in my house. The twins are going to be, like, legends sized! I don't care what anyone says, I am getting blaze master! | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (948610) Posted by Firebird on July 5th, 2009 @ 8:51am CDT Those robot heroes will be mine! Also I'm going to get Long Haul and maybe Jolt the Volt. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (948905) Posted by Shortround_ on July 5th, 2009 @ 10:00pm CDT Just went and watched the review for the ice cream truck twins and boy these bots look a hundred times better when you can see them in a video and not a tiny picture. They are really funny and neat and are gonna be hard to keep on the shelves or major shelf warmers. Definately gonna pick a couple up. "Decepticon come git yo ice cream... or yo ass wuppin." | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (949431) Posted by hellkitty on July 6th, 2009 @ 6:01pm CDT Just from his bio alone I think I'm in love with Dead End. He's like my soul mate or something (sniff). I agree with Blurrz--unlikely to see a Blackout Leader class, though I would be one of the people who would buy it. And love it. And pet it. Still, I can't resist the idea (yea, even the very idea!) of a Leader Class Starscream. Robot heroes, will probably be mine. What can I say, I like cute. HK, cute? I eat cute for breakfast! | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (949449) Posted by GuyIncognito on July 6th, 2009 @ 6:17pm CDT Has anyone seen these in retail in the U.S. yet? Or know when we can expect to see them? | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (949469) Posted by Blurrz on July 6th, 2009 @ 6:38pm CDT Yikes.. as news crew I should know this spot on.. XD I think it's generally looking to be an August-October release range. And like always, even more unseen repaints/remolds and new molds will arrive before/after Christmas for the Winter Holidays, like the previous Movie. When it comes to Leader Starscream... its' going to be the BOMB | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (949567) Posted by Shortround_ on July 6th, 2009 @ 8:14pm CDT I think a few of these have already hit the shelves because if you check them in the sightings listings a few have already been found in stores. I guess it all depends on where you live. I havent been able to get my hands on the twins yet, but they will soon be mine . Can't imagine them repainting a few of these guys. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (949765) Posted by Tyrannotaur on July 7th, 2009 @ 12:10am CDT The Ice Cream Twins, Jolt, Long Haul and Blaze Master will be purchased. Blaze Master because I love his Alt Mode. News Chopper= unique and creative. Plus once in robot mode he reminds alot of Beast Machines Sky Dive who I like alot, (I should dig him outta the attic). Leader Starscream I'll have to see first. I already have two of him.. Grindor is debatable. I like the character. Him and Blackout have one of the coolest looking robot modes in the movie. I just wish they made a new toy completely. I understand the possibility of a Leader Class Grindor/ Blackout is slim to none, But I'd like that alot more personally. Especially if it was as movie accurate as Leader Optimus from ROTF, or at least as cool as Jetfire is. If he combined with Megatron or something then I could see a leader class. If a leader isn't going to happen, I would have liked a new Voyager sculpt. Being gray and having a new head sculpt isn't worth me buying him again.. No matter if he is a new character or not. | |

Some are out now I think. I *think*, because I just got the Scout Dead End. Is that the only one they're making of him? If so, it is confusing because he is red. Still cute as all heck. Though his hands pop off like it's not even funny (except it is). Can someone non-confused help? HK, confused.
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (955069) Posted by Giant Purple Griffin on July 14th, 2009 @ 4:56pm CDT
Nah, that's a different figure. I guess in some markets the Scout is named Detour, but in the US he is called Dead End. He is a completely different toy and character than the deluxe Dead End (who is a redeco of Deluxe Sideways).
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (955073) Posted by Blurrz on July 14th, 2009 @ 5:00pm CDT Nah, Scout Dead End is a Wave 1 release... was from way back in June. We're talking about Deluxe Dead End here, a repaint of Deluxe Sideways. If you're looking for a repaint of Scout Dead End, he's being repainted teal. | |
| Re: Images of ROTF Wave 4 Deluxes, Wave 5 Voyagers and Robot Heroes (955079) Posted by Kibble on July 14th, 2009 @ 5:11pm CDT
I personally don't think they'll do a leader Blackout/Grindor figure either, but I don't get how one would be any less appealing than Brawl was other than maybe the current economy...
