Big news comes out from The-Arker. While you may have seen the spectacular gallery of Leader Starscream here at Seibertron.com, we have yet to see any pictures of the figure's packaging in all of it's entirety. That changes now, as we finally get complete in package images of the figure in the new yellow packaging - set for release in the middle of this year. Check out the biography of Leader Starscream and the images below.

Optimus Prime may think him a coward, but Starscream never flees a fight out of fear alone. Every retreat is calculated to keep him alive long enough to return and destroy his opponents with overwhelming power. As long as the Autobots seek him in force, he will remain hidden. As soon as Optimus Prime ventures out alone, however, Starscream will strike.

The bio makes him sound like a Tusken Raider! "...easily startled, but they'll be back. And in greater numbers!"

Sup with that color? Kinda looks like MP Starscream. I'm hoping it's the lighting because I was getting interested in picking this up.

I agree with vector, but I still will probably get this figure. It looks pretty cool. Starscream was the only thing that kept me from hating RotF entirely. I still hate it  ..... but not "entirely"

Actually Bayformer Starscream is quite smart. He suggested a tactical retreat at the end of RotF. Headed the operation to retrieve the Allspark and Megatron in the first movie. Leaded the decepticons in the long absences of Megatron even thought the Fallen could have. If the Fallen thinks that Starscream is smart enough to be commander of the Decepticons then Starscream should at least have an eight!!!!

Man oh man oh man I am sooo excited...now is it me or does anyone else think that we will get so many redecos out of this one, "leader thundercracker, leader skywarp, leader G1 colors starscream (YES PLEASE!!!), (not sure where they would fit this one) LEADER SUNSTORM!!!...ok i think I need to go take a cold shower, but Hasbro would really drop the ball on this if they did not get all the use out of this beautifully engineered mold :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

Bee-yoo-teful. Can't wait for this, and I hope they deepen his voice pitch on the toy back to Starscream's voice in TF1 - squeaky-sneaky doesn't seem to fit movie screamer IMO.

I agree, it should be 7 at the least, or 8 at the highest in my opinion, think about it, would an idiot know how to make a flawless replica of the All Spark? (aside from the fact that it didn't work) Shoot, the description contradicts the tech specs by saying that his retreats are carefully calculated, if they are, then how would he be able to pull that off with little intelligence? :-? 'Screamer isn't brute force, (though he can really dish it if need be, as seen in TRoS) he relies on strategy, planning, tactics. Oh yeah, and he's got more courage than "5", at the very least, "7" is more accurate. Whatever, anyways, everyone knows what I'm gonna say, I'm hyped to get this guy, can't wait! :D

I'm now on the fence about this.

I like it, but I have the second voyager version, which is a great representation of a crappy design.

I really like a lot of the off-screen movie stuff, but the on-screen designs just don't work for me. I'm just not interested in dumping more dollars down that particular rabbit hole.

I'll have to wait and see on this one.

A definite buy, he's large and in-charge! Do we know what he will say yet?

I'm truly hoping that they will repaint this (and the ROTF Voyager mold as well) into the other 3 main Seekers, Thundercracker, Ramjet, and Skywarp. I have these 4 characters in their first Movie Voy. molds, and they look great together. The better Voy mold and this one will make them all look so fantastic I'm getting giddy thinking about it.

So, in this new "Hunt for the Decepticons/NEST" TF toy line, every Transformer is rivaled up with another Transformer.

So far we've got:

Bumblebee vs. Soundwave

Ironhide vs. Bludgeon

Ratchet vs. Lockdown

and now,

Optimus Prime vs. Starscream.

Only time will tell what the next rivalry will be.

Forgot about Defender Optimus Prime and Mindwipe. I can't really say much about these bio rivals... a bit silly but hey, to sell toys.

I like this Leader Starscream a whole lot. It is appropriate for the figure, and it grants the opportunity for the designers to make a really good figure for a truly beloved character. I may be picking this up. I still need to see it in person though.

i think this figure will be 100/10 from just the pics
it looks so awsome
1. two missiles
2.moving mouth
3. pop out weapons
4. are blaster
5. awsome alt mode
6. says something more than name
7. way movie accurate
8. way more feuture than any other leader

i think hasbro can make a leader grindr and will since they went over the leader limit on the leaders with starscream

Heheh, he's a typical egoist who likes to psyche himself up with delusions of invincibility to hide his underlying fear. You know what they say about empty cans....

But as for his intelligence, if you look at everything he's accomplished in the past two movies (successfully infiltrates the military, and manages to find Megatron and the all-spark, basically planning everything in the first film, and smart enough to call for a retreat at the end of ROTF), it was only Megatron's decision to go "no more disguises, no mercy!" on the Autobots that screwed everything up for the Decepticons time and again.

If anything, he should have an even higher intelligence stat that Megs.

As for the figure itself, I've already made the decision to buy him since the first mention of its development. Not crazy about the alt mode, but then again, I can always get a F-22 Raptor model kit for an accurate representation of the jet. :P

The alt mode's superb: very screen-accurate, loaded with cool gimmicks, and the Has/Tak designers finally decided to go for a separable missile rack that to trying and tack everything onto the bot, making it look like some mechanical Frankenstein (:cough: HA Sideswipe :cough::cough:). Better a partsformer than a monstrosity.
