Seibertron member vansch has informed us that Chinese online auction website Taobao.com has listed the unreleased Takara Version of Transformers Animated Shockwave.
In this auction, we get to see the first in package image of the Decepticon spy.
Takara version Animated Shockwave is scheduled to be released on 24th April 2010.

Wait a sec. Previously, we saw this figure without any insignia on his cannon. Now we see the purple Con symbol on there, this just makes him suffer the same problem his U.S. toy had even worse.
Having that symbol there exposes his true allegience in either of Longarm's modes.

Ahh, Shockwave. My most favorite of TFA toys. Unlike other multi-alt characters (in any universe) his alternate formers were actually seamless.
Okay, the crane wasn't exactly a leap, but the dual robot mode worked beautifully and won't come near this neat until TFCC's Punch/Counterpunch comes out.

Not necessarily. To my knowledge, we've only seen one Shockwave, and that Was GenZhao's, who generally takes pictures of factory rejects or stolen early waves that may not have made the final cut, or weren't quite finished.

Not really, since the cannon folds down to for Longarm's hook. Yeah, it would be visible on the underside, but only short Autobots like Wasp and Bumblebee would see that, and as we saw in the cartoon, they have little credibility.

I don't like that the package features the photo of the toy, I liked Takra artworks better, even if they are cheap CGs.
