Love that they made his wings point to the sides like in the show, I don't think the G1 toy could do that(Can anyone confirm that for me?), though it doesn't look like he has the sword/scimitar from the show, I'll probably look for one when he comes out.

I also hope the new Gaia combiner holds together better than Gaiacross does.

That way if your don't care foe "Gaia Guardian" you can have him merged as Defensor!

About Scout sized in robot mode, thought they were smaller before I bought any.

In before Sabrblade!
Actually, it's not. "Deszaras" is a nonsensical name in Japanese, having no root meaning whatsoever. As such a logical transliteration into English is impossible. "Deathsaurus" is the most logical sounding attempt even though it's incorrect: the Japanese would have spelled out De-su-za-u-ru-su, or "Deszaurus". Completely different word.
It's likely "Deszaras" is based on a naming scheme for so-called Kaiju, like Godzilla (or "Gojira" for your purists), since that's what he supposedly represents: a monstrous toothed bird with wings.

To them, this would just be a shrunk down version of the United Cybertron Mode figure.

But it's such a minor character to them. His only fictional appearance was in a two-page mini-manga. This form of his isn't that iconic in Japan to be up with the likes of all the others who have come before him in these sets.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:What? But the Japanese never even got War for Cybertron.

Well, they did make Wipe-Out, an obscure American character, who's super obscure for Americans.
But the thing WFC Prime has, is well, he's Optimus Prime, one of Japan's fave Transformers.
Also these look awesome.

If I remember correctly the wings do have a range of motion allowing them to be moved to the side. I'll try and take a picture tonight if I remember.

This argument only holds up if Wip[e-Out were being made into a Kabaya kit figure, which he's not. He's a United figure. Kabaya makes figure kits of iconic and memorable characters, whereas WFC Optimus is still fairly new and not as well renown.Dead Metal wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But it's such a minor character to them. Which is where my second argument comes into play, in Japan the WFC toys where released as Cybertron modes of the G1 characters. So this Kabaya kit is just G1 Optimus to the Japanese. And last I checked Optimus is fairly well known in Japan.

Second.
I don't know if I'm going to be able to get these no matter how bad I want them as my LCS still hasn't gotten the Rodimus wave and BBTS doesn't have preorders on this one yet! I lucked into finding an Ultra Magnus in the shop but since then, nothing!

Honestly the best bet is to just preorder them from a store and get a case.
I dont think I'm going to get the single bots, because its cheaper for me to get them at the steel city con... although its not cheaper to get them combiners there... I'd probably get them from TFsource since the only dude at the toy show sells them for twice or 3X the case price.

Buy both boxes? Because I'm going to preorder asap. If there's any extras left over, I'll sell off the rest to people here.

You only need to get this box to get all 3 of those figures (WFC Optimus, Hot Spot and Deathsaurus/Dezaurus).

They're in a separate wave.

Interdasting... BBTS is actually cheaper for Gaia Guardian by roughly $5-$6 (shipping included) although they are more expensive on the dezarus case.

xyl360 wrote:Yep, it's certainly a better deal if you can go in on the Kabaya kits with some fellow collector(s) since you'll have tons of duplicates to split up, that way you save some cash and don't have to worry about having tons of useless 'spares' around or trying to sell the spares later on ebay etc.
Not quite.
You get 10 pieces to a box. 3 lots of 2 figures and 2 of 1 figure. So you're either going to have two little buddies left over or Dezaurus is going to be one short.
In the first wave I bought two boxes, but that was fine, they were all singles. The Ginrai wave I only bought one box and ended up with a God Bomber left over. The last wave I only bought one box and you couldn't create a third Rodimus completely because he was missing his large gun.
So in this case ... buy two boxes. Best way to split up for spares and make a few dollars back. (Honestly, you only need to sell them for $5.)

Same here. Were they originally included with Deszaras? If so it's annoying that I have to get the other 2 to complete a figure. I sort of want to build Rodimus Prime but I don't want to have to buy Inferno (who I don't want) just to do it.
Anyone who wants these without having to buy a whole case, check out http://www.capturedprey.com. They sell singles and have excellent customer service!
