It looks as though new third-party company Dr. Wu is working on a rather obscure accessory for your Generations Scourge, an eye from Metroplex. G1 fans will remember the episode "Ghost in the Machine" where Starscream's ghost made a deal with Unicron's severed head that involved procuring him a new set of eyes. Starscream's ghost possessed Scourge's body and set out to steal Metroplex's optics. Images mirrored below from the Transformers Galaxy Hong Kong Fans Group facebook page.

That's a bit of a stretch if ya ask me. There's a lot better things for 3rd party toy makers to make. If you wanna be obscure? How bout making some new crablegs for octopunch in crab mode. That would be nice.

What's next? My transformation cog? :-x

Is there a demand for my eyes? :???:

Who thought this was a great idea for collectors? 8-}

Hey, Takara made a clear plastic version of Hot Rod to commerate when he was in the glow of the Maxtix. Why not an accessory that a character held in one episode? We also need Metroplex's transforming cog, Galvatron's "Ultimate Weapon", everything Wheeljack ever made, and a "Quintesson Journal".

Hey, you take that back. I thought Megatron's rubber ducky was great!

(Did a 3rd party company actually make one?)

Re: Metroplex Eye Accessory from Dr. Wu (1308528)

If I wanted one bad enough, I could apparently just make a resin cast of an olive.

You wanna' do stuff that only appeared in one post-movie episode? Start with that 3-faced Quintesson who created the Transorganics, complete with mask covering the one face that the Dweller mangled, and make him in scale with the Impossible Toys Quints. THEN I'll pre-order two or three eyes and a Unicron head.

Great yes, but obscure. At least Metroplex's eye was an artifact used in the plot of an episode. The rubber ducky was just a (very funny) joke.

There was a canceled Botcon exclusive Rubber Ducky.

April fools is late this year.....

Seriously are they kidding? First a new head for FP's Protector and now this? Can't they make something completely original that's marketeable?

I know it seems silly, but some people will buy it. I think Wu is starting off slow to build more operating costs. Give him/them a chance, they might surprise us.

Why bother? Just use the olive, it'll last about as long as said McGuffin did in that episode.

Yet again these guys seems to be pressing their luck with useless plastic accessories that no one should care about. Do they want people to buy this s**t or not?

Next.

OK I remember that in Beast Wars. I thought they meant in G1. So many episodes crammed in my head I get em mixed up.

On Dr. Wu: It's possible, however hardcore east coast hip hop heads often refer to The Wu-Tang Clan as "The Wu". Steely Dan is way before my time and Im 35. I guess the age of the company owner would determine whether he is making reference to Steely Dan or The Wu-Tang Clan. Too bad well probally never know.

Could easily be their surname(s), seeing as they're from Hong Kong. Highly doubt it would be referring to something from the eastern US, although the Steely Dan reference is likely.

IMO, don't think Metroplex needs any help..

The 3rd party Transformers toy makers just keep on pumping out the best and most awesome products you couldn't even Imagen.
Have you ever looked at the Rocky toy-line with envious eyes and thought to yourself that you too wanted to accurately re-enact every scene from Transformers? Well, now you're one step closer to that thanks to DR WU!
TOYSPIE.com has new images showing the completed Metroplex eye accessory, and for all those who desperately wanted to know the scale of it, it's in scale with the Generations Deluxe class Scorge mold, it even fits with Classics deluxe Starscream!
You can click here or any of the mirrored images to see the original post containing even more exiting images of this accessory.

I think Dr. Wu seems to specializes in small cheap accessories in a tin you can buy on a whim. Not the $100 custom figures and armors/trailers. It's nice to see 3rd parties specializing.

Thats a pretty boring way that it's posed right there, I usually extend it with the extra white inner parts of the wings, and then bend each wing on its hinge to actually make it drape down and around his shoulders a bit. If done right, the end of the shoulder should line up with the highest point of the wings edge.
