Wheelie is smaller than I thought. He looks more like a basic than a deluxe.

LeoZack looks like he has poor paint apps on his face. I hope that doesn't carry over to the final product.

... Dang. I honestly thought the movie line couldn't get uglier, but it did. Just... dang.

I can already picture it: "Hi Sam, Wheelie's my name. Boy, do I look lame?"

Anyway, I like the alt mode, that looks good. But the robot mode is going to keep me from sleep tonight . Oh well, I actually find something interesting in it even in robot mode...

That Hybrid Optimus Prime looks like he's thinking "And I thought the gobots were lame..." .

I think he looks quite cool. Interesting arm articulation - I like the hands. I still won't buy him cos I like my figures to be in scale.

Its almost as if they WANT us to hate it. Did the designers just give up or did they die half way through?

I imagine that Wheelie is supposed to be the new cute character but this guy isn't. Wall-e isn't as sophisticated a machine but is far more appealing.

If he has a bloody sling shot as a weapon I will cry, I know it.

Can't tell if he's a homage to Wall E or Johnny 5. Either way, just confirms suspicion that the movie designers liked Beast Machines.

My GAWD, is Wheelie hideous. Unless he serves a really big part in the movie, and I mean REALLY BIG, I'm soo skippin' that. Man, he's fugly.

I don't think he's as huge as some of you think. Sure it's a deluxe sized figure, but the Prime with it is hybrid style... a very small version, scout class size maybe smaller, so Wheelie is not quite as big as he looks. Although he still looks big and more like Johnny 5!

I like Leozak, but probably won't own him.

Sweet fig...I'm impressed. This is going to be one that the kids who are the target audience for these toys are going to love. I think what would be the best would be to take an actual RC truck- correct size and everything- and make it a Transformer. At least it's not as bad as Frenzy was...

I really like Wheelie in this verse. I absolutely loathe the G1 version but this one looks like he might have an attitude and maybe mumble and groan and play mean pranks instead of being all happy stupid and rhyming. By the way, he's an autobot spy that's why he has the faction switch on his chest. I need a peace out smiley.

EDIT: I hope that they make a robot replicas Ravage so I can have my RR Frenzy ride him chasing Wheelie. That would be fun.

Another movie line winner.

He's basically an autobot version of Frenzy from the first movie. Small spy bot with weird gangly-looking hands and such. Frenzy was a decepticon, so of course he's going to look like a demonic bug with saws and machine guns all over, but since Wheelie's an autobot it makes sense that he's a little softer and more goofy than evil (so the WALL-E look fits pretty well). He's probably comic relief just like Frenzy was in the first movie.

When it comes to stuff like this, you can't really think of it in terms of toy design. Michael Bay is going to come at it from the perspective of the movie first and the toys second, regardless of how involved Hasbro is in the process.

That's why Frenzy was such a big part of the first movie even though all the toy versions of him totally suck. He was designed as a movie character first and the toys were kind of thrown together afterward, because seriously, you can take one look at Frenzy in the movie and you just KNOW he wasn't designed with a toy in mind.

When designing a cute kiddy character, go by age old adage:
KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!

His card back was posted a while ago and his bio said he was a Decepticon, but only because he's afraid of them and they bully him around. He definitely does look 'con-ish.

God that thing is horrible. I think thats the worst TF of all time. I really feel bad for Wheelie he never gets a break. Each iteration we see is worse than the last. Thing looks like Jonny 5 and Beast Machines Rattrap had a kid and then ditched it in a scrap yard where it scanned a pile of junk thinking thats what it should look like. Well thats another $11 saved. Thanks hasbro. This movie is going to have more fail then the last one.

No, I'll go see it and worse I'll enjoy it like I did the last. But not liking Wheelie, Scavenger, 'cyclops' Ravage and Frenzy. Designs bad enough to be Mini-cons.

Seems the ROTF designer just could not get over wheel-feet...

Wheelie is only as hideously ugly as the other movie bots, but I think the name and rather ridiculous alt mode make him seem worse than the other movie designs.

It needs racing stripes. D= everything looks better with racing stripes.

The toy is ugly but I'd still like a piece of that $708,272,592 failure.

Seriously, Wheelie is crap. Frenzy you could forgive, because being a small boombox, there was little mass to work with. But Wheelie's a monster truck for goodness' sakes. There's NO excuse for this Johnny 5/Wall-E bastardization piece of crap.

He is fugly, I stand by my previous criticisms, but I don't hate Wheelie. I admit that at least I like it better than that tired old Energon repaint. It's inventive, something we haven't had before. The alt mode is pretty decent. You have to hand it to Hasbro, there's some clever things going on with that transformation.

He reminds me of a robotic version of that sloth character from the Ice Age movies.
