| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805590) Posted by Trikeboy on October 7th, 2008 @ 7:02am CDT This is probably the only special edition I will buy. The others are just not as interesting. Well... maybe Megatron. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805599) Posted by Counterpunch on October 7th, 2008 @ 7:20am CDT So very very nice. Here's hoping for Brakedown... | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805601) Posted by JaZzTaStIc on October 7th, 2008 @ 7:27am CDT nice, dunno if i like the idea of them being in robot mode for packaging but still very nice. | |

Made out of Universe Sideswipe, that would probably sell like hotcakes. And the more I see of Drag Strip and Overkill, the more I want them!
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805604) Posted by Mkall on October 7th, 2008 @ 7:36am CDT I cannot wait for this guy. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805606) Posted by Nickolai on October 7th, 2008 @ 7:40am CDT A thing of beauty, especially the box. Think I'll go pay for mine now... | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805618) Posted by DevastaTTor on October 7th, 2008 @ 8:13am CDT Eh, still like the Fracture repaint more. That screaming purple head just isn't my cup of tea. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805629) Posted by Sledge on October 7th, 2008 @ 8:35am CDT *sigh* Excuse me, I must go set fire to Hasbro UK for not selling these. | |

Same here. The yellow paint job is nice, and would look like nice next to Mirage and Fracture. But that purple head just ruins it. Ultra Storm Cloud has the same problem: I LOVE the purple/black paint job, but his yellow face mask looks like a bird's beak, and it just ruins the alt mode for me.
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805664) Posted by Diem on October 7th, 2008 @ 9:20am CDT It'd be nice to get all the Stunticons eventually in Classics/Henkei but Mirage into Drag Strip is the only one that doesn't feel like a major stretch to me. Rodimus to Wildrider? Maybe if they'd taken off the spoiler and changed the flames. Sunstreaker to Breakdown? Neither mode looks right. And...who to Dead End? Prowl? And no one could be Motormaster as Optimus would just look like Nemesis Prime. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805855) Posted by Prowl1529 on October 7th, 2008 @ 12:24pm CDT Very nice, this will probably be the only one that i will buy from the Hasbro Special Edition, it's very bouring i could not arrange Henkei Wildrider too. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805950) Posted by Sgt. Grumbles on October 7th, 2008 @ 2:24pm CDT The only thing that worries me is the continually declining QC issues Hasbro is experiencing. Hopefully the higher standards in Asia, coupled with the larger price point is enough to put in the extra effort of crisp paint apps and tight joints. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (805993) Posted by Rijie on October 7th, 2008 @ 3:16pm CDT His head is purple for a reason. I'm really excited about this one. Not only is it a great mold, but a great paint scheme as well, a near-perfect homage, and another 'Con. If there is any must-own from the Special Edition line thus far, it's this one. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (806243) Posted by Sowndwave76 on October 7th, 2008 @ 7:19pm CDT I'm glad I'm getting this guy... And yeah, getting Henkei Wildrider would've been nice, but I agree, he was just enough off with the changes that weren't made, that I'm okay with not spending $150 to have him. I could see the Sunstreaker and Prowl molds being used for other Stunticons, but they'd HAVE to have new heads. To me, that and different paint schemes can make all of the difference. | |

Indeed... the head is a direct homage to the original toy. Purple head, blue face. See for yourself! http://tfu.info/1986/Decepticon/DragStrip/dragstrip.htm
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (806447) Posted by Sowndwave76 on October 7th, 2008 @ 10:20pm CDT Hey, I just checked my HTS order for this fig., and it says that it was suppose to ship TODAY. Was this a typo, or is there a chance that this is legit, and it's gonna ship tomorrow (or soon)???? | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (806477) Posted by Barrelass on October 7th, 2008 @ 11:04pm CDT
Everything that hasn't shipped says shipping today on their website. Tomorrow and even next week it will still say shipping today. It shouldn't be here till mid decemberish. I think when I ordered it said shipping in 53-55 days.
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (806524) Posted by Auto Bot on October 7th, 2008 @ 11:47pm CDT That's at least 2 Stunticons now. Sadly, no chance for a combiner ability. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (806550) Posted by Lock'n'Load on October 8th, 2008 @ 12:22am CDT This looks really good, because of the fancy packaging I guess this won't be too cheap. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (806572) Posted by shortround on October 8th, 2008 @ 1:27am CDT Drag strip was always my favorite stunticon. | |
| Re: More Pictures of Universe Special Edition Drag Strip (807186) Posted by breakthru on October 8th, 2008 @ 5:40pm CDT I actually really like the purple head on him. He's a must-buy to go with my Wildrider | |
