Transformers fans creativity and ingenuity never ceases, as shown here by Robot-Models.com. This is a 7 foot tall, 485 pound statue of Transformers the Movie Autobot leader Optimus Prime, made completely of used car parts. This piece is part of a collection of Transformers created completely out of recycled parts.

But this Prime isn't the only figure made. They've also created a movie Bumblebee in a smaller size.

These pieces are for sale. Prime goes for the bargain price of $4,838.71 USD, plus shipping, and BB for the more achievable price of $193.55 USD.

Question for everyone who can answer: What are the wheels made of? Im looking at it and first I thought maybe a golf cart or a forklifts wheels, but the pattern throws me off. Any ideas?

OMG!! That thing is awesome, it is odd how they could form recycled car parts to look like Optimus. Seems a little like the voyager gold one!

(Accidentally created another thread about this)
I love this "statue." If I had the money and space, I'd totally buy this for the garage. Or perhaps lawn ornament.

485 pounds, so thats about 240 kilograms. You'd need to have a forklift or similar just to move the bugger about!
It's a very impressive piece of work, I cannot imagine the time and planning that must've gone into it's creation.

I lean towards that. Let's face it, a G1 Prime is pretty boring aesthetically...
