No! I just meant its awesome. So buy two. Or sixfenrir72 wrote:Did you break something? I have discovered an issue with the panel on his back and posted a warning in the MP-24 thread.
Though now that you mentioned it, I missed that warning and discovered it for myself. Luckily all it caused was a stress mark, no breaks!

So with some of the flaws present with this Star Saber is it highly likely we will see a second run of this MP? With that possibly addressing some of it's current flaws.

A second run of Star Saber, even though he still appears to be in stock at most places. But flaw fixing? Doubt that'll happen.

Other than the one backpack issue (which is pretty minor IMO) I have no issues. It's a damn solid figure and I haven't heard many complaints. Even the best figures out there have some kind of flaw.Seibertron wrote:Other than him not being one of my favorite masterpieces surpisingly, what are some of the flaws with the figure? I thank Takara for putting this large, expensive Masterpiece out. I have absolutely no clue interest in the character but for the 'Saber' middle bot and its potential repaint possibilities?
Does anyone think Takara could, or would even dare to repaint just Saber, the Voyager sized jet..?

Though, I'm a little saddened to see no pics of him in his super mode without the Star Saber helmet on, as he would occasionally walk around in the show in his super mode with his Saber head exposed like so:

It looks ridiculous because the head is so tiny on Saber.

Being a stupid human who just can't get no satisfaction, wish Tomy will also release a Jean/Daigoro figure or Illumina2 or Jean and Illumina. This figure is so near anime accurate that it screams for a "Cub" to complement "Lonewolf".
The battle up feature looks better in the original version

Not a flaw but more on how to transform him properly. Trouble with not knowing Japanese I guess.Btw, among the many online reviewers, I found out that the "mini" sword hilt can be stored in the V-star (in the panel from which I mentioned the tendency to create a stress mark in not transformed carefully). I re-read the instruction manual and that feature was was never mentioned at all.

Nope. The clearance between the original Victory Leo parts are not compatible with the MP Star Saber

I had two packages from them ... one shipped out by Monday last week. The other shipped out yesterday. Hopefully this is just a little blip. I liked it a lot better when something would arrive at HLJ Thursday, ship Friday and arrive at my house on Monday.

I like seeing him next to the OG G2, G-wiz!
Tracking shows he has cleared customs in NY. Hoping he's here by the end of the week, 'cause I'm jonesing for some new bot action.

It looks to me like it's a sticker. In some of the close-up shots, you can see the edges of the sticker just visible.

They're slowed down because of the mid-year sale.
My order shipped out Friday, and arrived today.

All of the G1 molds in the G2 line were like that. Straight redecos, with or without new accessories.Noideaforaname wrote:G2 Bumblebee was just a shiny version of himself? That's disappointing.

I agree. This should have been Goldbug with a new head with just plain gold paint.

Also, bit of trivia about the character this toy represents. He's a different person from G1 Bluestreak, suspected of having come from the Diaclone universe.

I'm a fan. I'd rather have a Prowl redeco than a 3rd version of Bluestreak.

The pelvis and the head are Prowl's, the car roof is Bluestreak.
I updated the gallery to include several pictures of Bluestreak's coin.

The figure is a redeco of the original Takara Tomy MP-11 release, and features a couple of tweaks, such as blue nosecone in jet mode, lighter shades of grey, slightly different Decepticon symbols and a stand that can be used for both the jet and robot mode. Click on any of the images below to compare the two toys, and take your time to admire the devious Decepticon lieutenant by following through to the galleries.

Thanks Cobotron! I think I prefer the Hasbro version, surprisingly. The lighter face paint, the blue nosecone, the lighter cockpit, and a few other things make it a winner to me. I like having the crown and other "King Starscream" accessories so I won't be parting with that version either. There are enough differences between the two to warrant an extra one, especially since it's much cheaper than the $200 I paid for the Takara Tomy version a few years ago.

I'm super pleased with this Starscream over previous Hasbro Seeker releases, that's for sure.

Super stoked for mine to arrive. It will be my first hands on with this mold.

So, the differences between the two Starscreams that I can see are: the jet nosecone color, the slight difference in shades of gray & red plastics (Hasbro's red looks paler & the jet canopy is a deeper yellow on Takara's), and the Takara head looks painted gloss-black while Hasbro's is molded in semi-matte/satin dark charcoal.
I just got the TRU Starscream and he's great; the joints are tighter than my TRU MP Thundercracker's as well. I wonder if MP Skywarp will get yet another Hasbro release in this mold, but I think I'm done collecting the Seeker mold.
I'm really looking forward to MP Shockwave, Hot Rod, and I still hold out hope for Galvatron, Megatron v2, and now Arcee too.
Keep it up with the great galleries, and thanks for making this a fun place!
