New image of USAopoly's Transformers Monopoly game

USAopoly has sent has a new image of their upcoming licensed Transformers edition of Monopoly. As you can see from the image below, it is clearly a G1-based game which makes heavy use of the Dreamwave artwork from the past few years. It also looks like the game pieces are the following characters: Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Jazz (?) and Bumblebee (?).

UPDATE: I just received a 2nd email from USAopoly confirming that this game will be available at specialty shops at the end of April. Specialty shops include stores such as Spencer Gifts or other similar stores or game stores (like the ones in U.S. shopping malls).

    now I'll buy that! Glad to see a resurgence of the G1 characters we know & love along side the new.

    Because of the... shall we say "complex" movie designs, I don't think they would make for very good tiny figures. (Too many little pieces hanging off & not enough large car parts.) These figures and the art look great.

    The Go To Jail picture should be Hot Rod and Kup in Manacles. And the In Jail should be Hot Rod grabbing the bars. I'm not trying to sound like a hater, I just don't think that classic Monopoly symbols belong in the board.

    Assuming I can afford this, I might pick it up.

    That's more like it! Shame Megatron looks like he's skipping on the board :)

    I can just about make out the figurines. Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Jazz... Soundwave and Bumblebee? Nifty.

    That can not be done. The Corner Squares are part of the Monopoly Trademark and can not be changed. All of the Special Edition Monopoly games that have been issued over the years have the same thing. Only slight modifications are made to the GO Corner if the theme uses something other than US Dollars. The Best Example I know of is the Star Wars Monopoly has the Credit Symbol insted of the Dollar Sign. And that is it.

    I agree, the go to jail ect doesn't really fit in, but I'll get it anyway.

    Shame they didn't give us a more zoomed in pic really, would like to see what the squares are.

    Looks cool. Probably gonna cost a small fortune to us brits though if its only gonna be released in specialty shops in the states.

    If anything, the Railroads would be Space Bridges, though I don't think you are able to ride them.

    I really like the set as well! I just wish that Hasbro and the other outlets wouldn't keep using the same DW artwork over and over. Especially since DW is gone and IDW does all that type of stuff now. It's not bad artwork at all, I just like some variety out there. Certainly going to get this!

    It would make sense. Fighting to protect/conquer/claim different areas/regions of space. How is that so hard to believe? Frankly, it's a lot more believable than Prime turning into a shoe, robots getting powers by making out with 8 year olds, or traveling through space in a protosperm mode rather than taking a spaceship.

    If you look at the board closely, you can see that "Park Place" and "Boardwalk" are in fact "Earth" and "Cybertron" respectively. Two of the railroads are "The Ark" (lower left) and "The Nemesis" (upper right). The third (upper left) looks like the "Spacebridge" however I can't make out the fourth (lower right).
