New Images of ROTF Leader-Class Optimus Prime & Megatron

well the head sculpt actually looks more like G1 megatron now.

Kinda like what they did in Animated.

Absolutely buying Megatron! This Prime mold, OTOH, not so sure about anymore. I know it's impossible to tell from pics, but the materials look pretty cheap. And those blue wings on his back look out of place, distractingly so.

I'll have to see him in person, but right now I might skip Leader Primet this time around.

why did they design Megatron to have teeth? I guess it's more sinister, but not realistic..
unless there's some energon-flavored chewing gum I've never heard about.

Megatron seriously needs movie accurate paint on his face it just looks weird and lame that way.
That PRime is almost movie accurate. I'm holding out for the premium versions for these.

Looks like Soundwave just told Megatron the one about the yellow-headed Fembot.

Niiice on both counts. I'd like to see the back and sides of the box on Prime to see if it mentions any kind of combining feature with Jetfire.

I wonder if they are going to make a Voyager Megatron too like they did last time. If this Prime doesn't combine, I'll probably just stick with the Voyagers.

ill be getting this prime this one is sleeker and better looking windows.

how do we know that there is going to be premium series someone once said if we hold for premuim we may not get it its 50/50 chance maybe the premium was just one time thing all we know.

it would be great if hasbro tells us if there is a premium series coming to the line so went wont be buiying 2 of the same figures like the last film & maybe theyll who is in & whos not in the premium series.

the ark must be pretty mad that megatrons head is exposed his head looks just like concept art versions with better detail from the first leader class megaton

both will be mine! Does anybody know if megs is being released May 29th or does he come later?

The new Prime looks more movie-accurate than the first one. I am glad I missed the leader class from the first movie. I will be buying the new one. I don't think I will be buying another leader class Megatron though. One is enough for me.

This so far is a much better improvement over 07's leader class Megatron. I can't wait to find out about his misshapened left arm. I'm almost possitive that he was so damaged from the allspark that it was the best the Decepticons could do to revive him! That face: it's just awesome!

As for the figs, I'm not a big fan of the orange swords on Prime. I wish they would have stuck with the sword appearance from the premium version. As for Megs, he just looks badass. I can understand the so-called "gimp" arm if it is true and they rebuilt him from the parts of other bots (who may not necessarily be Megsy's size)...after all, that arm got blown off at some point in the last movie (watch when he gets dropped into the ocean...I seem to remember that anyways).

My only concern with the Revenge of the Fallen movie toys are these "mech-alive" bits and pieces.

How are these tiny little gears going to hold up over time?

Other than that, they look great! And Megatron really looks damn good!

If I didn't know better, I'd say Megatron looks downright happy.

Im going ot on a limb but i think those treads and feet are from brawl.

Exactly what I was thinking, wouldn't be surprised if after he gets destroyed (again), and brought back from the dead for the third installment, he'll have a fully G1 head and be called Galvatron. Because, you know, Michael Bay is just that original and ahead of the curve [/sarcasm]

Seriously though, I'm glad I didn't pick up any of the leader figures from last time, especially Megsy, my nephew was not so smart and forced me to transform him... That was a bitch and a half to do. The articulation on Optimus seems to be much improved, and Megsy just looks freaking awesome, even with his new handycapable feature.

Looks like my "I'm Only Picking Up Wheelie, Sideways, Sideswipe, and Devastator" List is now gonna be "I'm Only Picking Up Wheelie, Sideways, Sideswipe, Leader Optimus, Leader Megsy, and maybe Devvy" list..

I had no plans to buy ROTF figures but now seeing the new Prime im gonna have to get that bad boy.

It wouldn't make any sense from their end to tell us ahead of time there is going to be a premium series...Then half their market wouldn't buy the first round...

Megatron's tank mode is wicked! I'm totally in love with this new design, and the toy looks brilliant! Great job on the headsculpt too, now that we can finally see it.

Prime looks awesome hes a must buy for me. That truck mode is just insane. Megatron still looks like crap. Head and arm are way to small. No to mention I dont like the scrap pile look. The head is at least a better sculpt but still sucks. Ill wait till its on clearance like i did with the first one.

ROTF Prime looks wicked, but I'm afraid that they scaled him down a bit, just like they did with ROTF Voyager Starscream. I'd love to see how the new Prime measures up!

Megatron's tank mode looks like Unicron took a shit.

The only thing that these pictures have made me want to buy is a belt buckle that says "Try Me".

Megatron's alt mode reminds me of the old school NES game, "Master Blaster"! Anyone remember that? Prime looks alot more accurate at first glance.

I'm completely digging the new tank mode...It's about 1,000,000,000x better than that stupid boring jet mode from the last one (wasn't so bad in the movie but the toys just looked rediculous)...

Optimus is also a huge improvement, the only thing is that pipe kibble on his "wings". But if he combines, I'll be frced to getim anyways, if not, he might still be worth it, but I'll have to buy Megatron before him.

I'll try to get megatron before prime. They both look great.

If you look at the pic of Prime in his box you can clearly see that his wings are transformed differently and that the pipes kibble is not visible.. so my guess is he is mistransformed in the other pics.

this megs is freakin sweet! i skiped over the first one becaouse it looked like crap!

optimus looks cool, he looks like he is more possible with the feet. I dont like the wings, but at least he dosent look like he has as much back kibble as the first Prime.

Awesome Figures better that i thought they would be i am so picking both of these guys up along with Voyager Starscream! i'm not that fussed about the kibble Optimus has on his back the fact that Optimus has 2 Energon Swords is very cool,i love the new Megatron look,i like his face it's really detailed! i can't wait to buy these guys and see this Awesome Movie!!!!!

Toys with challenging transformations are the most fun, and that one looks like a FAB.

Prime is nice, but I don't like the pipes sticking out above his head. And his paint isn't as accurate as the frst, but he will be on my shelf.

i really like the OP, but i have mixed feelings on the megatron, mostly because of that tiny little arm..

I'm the one that asked for a pic of the back of Optimus's box before that, hoping we could see if it showed anything about combining with Jetfire. He said he would, but he did not.

Bearing in mind the balls up they've made with Devvo I'd say "don't get your hopes up". Besides, Jetfire would have to be four times as big as Prime to be in scale.
