New images of TF Animated Strika and Rodimus

Wow, Strika looks very Beast Machines. And Hot Rod/Rodimus looks very cool. Season 3 should be good.

I'm not a fan of the Robot Heroes figures, but that Laserbeak RH is awesome!

That's a very interesting colour take on the Rodimus character. It looks good.

If you click on it you also seem to get a PDF file of the entire last issue of the TFCC magazine, which includes profiles of Transtech Prowl and Starscream, as well as the ongoing comic featuring Alpha Trion and the club combiners. Not bad.

They look awesome! On another note: did Hasbro loose the rights to the name Slag or what?! The new robot heroes Slag is again misnamed Snarl, just like animated Slag. So what is Snarl's name now?! Maybe they just realized that since Beast Wars "slag" seemed to be used as a curse, and they are afraid to offend someone. Hell, they cut off the least dangerous parts of Optimus ( stacks) when his trailer corners are so much more dangerous . It doesn't have to make sense.

Slag is now called Snarl. Snarl is now called Sludge, Sludge is now called Fred. Fred is now called Barney. Barney is now called Grimlock, Grimlock is called Snarl... no wait, they already moved Snarl... Slag it! I give up figuring out Hasbro.

It seems pretty obvious to me that Strika is gonna be a Bulkhead Retool, but Rodimus looks like a new mold. Wonder what they'll be like personality-wise?

Maybe the Angry Archer wears a Rodimus Pretender shell.

Slag is a swear word. Hasbro figured that putting out a toy with a rude name would be a problem. Sadly, this has killed plans for the Bitchmasters line.

Oh wow. Wonderful. THEY'RE IN SPACE!!!! Rodimus looks amazing, and Strika is lookin pretty B.A.! I can't wait for this season to kick off!

At least Hot Rod looks like he should. The bow and arrow thing is kinda retarded but at least its better than any thing Bay would do. Now will they call him HotRod like they should or are we stuck with this Rodimus Major crap?

Neither of those animated pics are doing anything for me, unfortunately. Maybe once we actually see the cartoon or the figures I'll grow to like them, but for now, it's just not doing it for me.

I generally like Rodimus, but I don't like the looks of this one. To me he looks purple and orange where I'd prefer it a bright red and orange. Also the purple and orange just don't mesh here to me (like they do with Galvatron for example). I also don't like the bow and arrows (especially 2 arrows). When I looked at him, he reminded me of some character of Teen Titans cartoon (Speedy?), which wasn't good.

I guess I can live with Strika as seen in that picture, but generally not anywhere near a character I care about.

Oh well, we'll see what they do with it all. I'm open minded enough and content to be wrong if the cartoon or figures come out and they are mind blowing.

Given that 'Prime' is little more than the title of a relatively high-ranking officer in the Animated universe, he'll probably be Rodimus Prime (and command a small crew, like Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, and 'Longarm Prime' do/did).

They might take the route they did, the first time they tried the "Universe" line. One of the BW Neo toys, a stegosaurus, was named "Dinobot Striker". So, Striker could be Snarl's new name... although they'd need to be careful not to cause too much confusion between him and Animated Strika.

Finally, it looks like Rodimus Prime is going to be given the spotlight (and backbone) he should have had and always deserved.

Nah, I'd bet money she gets a new mould. Based on the fact that we've seen her animation model and it is completely different from Bulkhead, and this show has so far kept the animation pretty close to the toys.

And also Eric Siebenaler (Animated toy designer guy) said recently that they're doing a Bulkhead repaint and it is going to be called xxx Bulkhead (like Atomic Lugnut). So I doubt they'd do a repaint of Bulkhead if they were going to repaint/retool him again into Strika.

That's my theory anyway.

Strika looks quite reminiscent of her BM self. Pretty cool.

Rodimus looks really good. The Animated style really works with him. First Rodimus in a long time that I might actually like!

Rodimus prime looks nice as does Strika I can't wait for season 3.

What I like is that each 'prime' has had some form of medieval weapon
Optimus -axe
Sentinel - lance
Rodimus - bow and arrow
UM - hammer of thor (yes hes not a prime, but had to have been at some point)

Nice observation. That's kinda cool, I wonder if that is intentional or not.

Oh, except for Longarm Prime, but he may not count since..well, you know why.
