He looks rad, I am in love with this Siege style detailing.

My dad was a recreational photographer back when I was little, mainly family pictures and natural scenery. He had an old-style photo camera, same style as G1 Reflector, even with switch-out lenses. He had a knack for it.

I don't see that happening, really. We already had a proper Perceptor back in Titans Return.

Not that that really means anything considering how quickly the popular characters get remade. This line is supposed to go three years with different sub names, right? They just did Jazz in Power of the Primes, so no Jazz in WFC? Is that really how it works? Wasn't that long ago Prowl, Ironhide and Mirage (and others) got made in Combiner Wars. Wasn't Chromia from Titans Return?
Anyway, my point is probably more that this toy could easily be retooled into a pre-earth Perceptor moreso than whether they'll actually do it.

T30, actually. The Titans Return ones were Windblade and Arcee
I don't really see any resemblance between Perceptor and Viewfinder honestly, aside from the chest window. But I suppose stranger things have happened, like TR Alpha Trion into Broadside.

Ah, okay. I was collecting Masterpiece during all this, so I didn't pay as much attention as I am now.

Reflector was considered as the character for 2010 Reveal the Shield Perceptor's retool however, because the toy-accurate head resembles the Viewfinder toy's to a degree:

And Hasbro does have a history of repeating concepts...

2. Random: PotP Prime's rifle scales well with Galaxy Upgrade Prime. It's a little chunky but that's like the whole mold anyways, it's just working for me
3. A Perceptor out of that mold regardless of who came out when, would be rad. If they did that I'd have to get it, and I can already think of little fanmode ways you could approximate some kind of scope or microscope out of that thing.
4. It's hard for me to talk about Reflector without mentioning my favorite one so far which was the most simple too - the Targetmaster styled Reflector that came with Skrapnel a few years back. I had it for like a week before my cat disappeared it. But I thought that was so clever a design and transformation. It's nice to see old Reflaktorglass back.
5. Seeing this current ones vehicle mode made me wish there was a 5mm peg on the bottom so he could just be used as a giant cannon. Same for Shockwaves vehicle mode.

I'm more interested in getting DJD Vos out of the mold.

They actually look like that might be dlx Classics Bumblebee height. Which is another reason why I won't buy more than one for $20.

Classics Bumblebee was a decently sized deluxe, too big to scale decently with the rest of the cast.

I also had two Mattel WWE figures canceled. This happened once before with a Go-Saurer model kit, they actually got the kit in-stock like a week after the original release date. My paranoia wants me to say it's a set up by Amazon to get people to order from their third party sellers more.

They get a big cut from 3rd party sales?

Wouldn't they get a bigger cut of their own sales? That also assumes everyone that buys from Amazon would automatically buy from one of their sellers which isn't guaranteed.
This might have more to do with confusing US pre-order regulations that require cancellations on certain things if they aren't filled within 3 months. I can't find the specifics on the regs, but I remember Toys R Us being notorious for canceling pre-orders without warning after 3 months, several of us experienced that with Titans Return Arcee. A more mainstream example is Samsung's folding phone facing pre-order cancellation if it can't get them out by May 31st (they wont). I'm guessing the pre-orders that were canceled are the ones from February when Hasbro started their whole "see now, buy now" or whatever it's called thing. Right now would be 3 months after those pre-orders were made during Toy Fair in February.

The reason we wouldn't news this regardless is because we already posted a video review on jetfire a while ago.
That is actually good to know, I was not aware. I'm pretty indifferent to most reviewers, but Optibotimus did have one review recently that was a first, and I newsed it, but now I know why it wasn't followed up on.

That talk about a possible Perceptor made me have a thought though, so I put together a list of all the molds and their alternate heads that we know of, because we haven't had some good harmless speculation in a while and nothing else is happening:
Sideswipe mold: Red Alert
Skytread mold: Slamdance
Hound mold: possibly Cybertron Defense Hot Shot? (from box art)
Prowl mold: Smokescreen/Barricade
Chromia mold: ??? (hopefully there isn't one?)
Ironhide mold: Ratchet (confirmed by IDW comics, apparently, plus it was an obvious jump)
Refraktor mold: ???
Impactor mold: ???
Mirage mold: ???
Voyager OP mold: ???
Megatron mold: IDW Miner Megs (used on G2 Camo Megs from Selects)
Starscream mold: Thundercracker/smirk
Soundwave mold: ???
Springer mold: ???
Shockwave mold: ???
Ultra Magnus mold: Optimus Prime
Greenlight mold: ??? (probably Lancer, given the code website confirming another limb coming)
Unknown Quantities:
Jetfire: new size class, dunno if the mold has an alternate head sculpt or if it's just 1 a year like the Titans
Weaponizers: Dunno if they have alternate heads, or if we're even getting more (hoping we will though)
Apeface & Astrotrain: Rumored through product listings, possibly meant for next segment of WFC trilogy
35th Anniversary Soundblaster: Allegedly has a retooled tape door, but Soundblaster has the same head as Soundwave, right?
Thoughts on the ???s and unknowns?

Firedrive: ???
Blowpipe/Caliburst: Aimless
Lionizer/Dazlestrike: ???
Pteraxadon: ???
Smashdown: ???
Flak: ???
Topshot: Red Heat
Swindler: Blackjack
Roadhandler: Hyperdrive
Stakeout: ???
Visper: ???
Storm Cloud: ???
Ravage: ???
Laserbeak: ???
Highjump: ???
Powertrain: ???
To be fair, I don't really see any potential retools in that bunch

No more female bot with horrible greenlight/Chromia mold PLEASE! I want a good and better Arcee without that horrible backpack but with some good battle damage on her! Also, I hope the Galaxy prime will be recolor as a Nemesis Prime or Solo Prime. And please give em Dinobots and Wheeljack!
Great to read about Apeface and Astrotrain, I really like that idea! Do you think the command class can be fit for more figures? I don't know who can fit there....just see right for Jetfire t moment...

I theorize that, with a line so focus on G1 toon accuracy, that making a character as 'another guy with new colors and new heads' seems way less likely if it didn't exist in G1 already. So Ironhide into Ratchet and Prowl into Smokescreen were pretty obvious reveals. I could see Mirage being redone into G2 Leadfoot (all he need is a new head since I doubt his derpy rotor will remain!) and Hound into Ironfist.

Skritz wrote:I'm curious if Hasbro did pretools/shared molds for this line knowing it was going to be about POTP-sized. Especially since in recent years we've seen unused heads (T30 Orion Pax into Kup) which only ever get used in Japan (which is less likely now due to shared lines) or by FunPub (Which is even less likely because its gone!). My theory is that we might see these retools for other parts of the trilogy, giving people time to 'breathe' and making the line seem less repetitive as CW was.

What is curious is that they're sticking with simple part swaps this time around: Ultra Magnus into Cybertron Prime is the only example of Prime Wars-style rehashing in the main, non-exclusive line.

Yeah, the reasons I didn't include them were a combination of that, figuring the majority of people would be more excited by the larger size classes, and not wanting to make my post so long that nobody wanted to read it .
00Stargrave00 wrote:Honestly lately I’ve been looking at Skytread and seeing an easy repaint into a baby Blitzwing you see it right? I can’t unsee it now. With his one handedness I wonder if Impactor’s mold would be a candidate for like a Cybertronian Trailbreaker.
Tiny Blitzy would mess up the whole scale thing they've got going on, sadly, and we just got an amazing Blitzwing via Titans Return. That remold would be a real cool look for Trailbreaker, but given he's never been a tank before, and I don't feel like they would change that now, it seems unlikely. Plus, the one-handedness of the mold is optional. I still want/hope the Impactor mold to be re-tooled as Demolishor.
Microbot wrote:Great to read about Apeface and Astrotrain, I really like that idea! Do you think the command class can be fit for more figures? I don't know who can fit there....just see right for Jetfire t moment...
The main other Commander Class candidates that come to mind for me are Deathsaurus, Lugnut, and possibly Tidal Wave and/or Scorponok (an IDW/Energon-ish one, not a citybot-sized one), but I don't know about anyone else. Maybe Tesarus or Helex if they ever made the DJD (which they sadly won't)?

I also subscribe to that theory, it would make sense since there's no line-wide gimmicks restricting the mold usage. Mirage into Leadfoot makes sense, there are only so many dragster TFs, although I'm curious if they'd go for a fusion of G2 and Movie Leadfoot over straight G2 Leadfoot, since I think the Movie guy is kinda more recognizable to the casual audience. I will also accept any new Ironfist of any kind whatsoever, I really would love a figure of him, but the alternate head on Hound's packaging art was absolutely not Ironfist-ish in any real way.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion but I could see Mirage repainted (and re-headed) into Slapdash.
