Updated: New Xovergen Product - TrailerForce TF-01

Interesting, wonder if this is the Powermaster upgrade for Classics OP I've heard rumor of. Obviously the OP in the teaser isn't Classics OP, but it could just be a stand in.

I've stated plenty of times recently that I love Powermaster Prime. Looking forward to see what this looks like!

From the look of this, it seem it go with Ginrai A.K.A Powermaster Prime. Will it be an update for the God Ginrai classic, or will it it be an O.C?

No matter what, I'm betting it will sell for a premium price. If they want my money, it better be something that I'll want WAY more than a MP-10.

That's what Blurrz wrote, based on the picture Xovergen provided, but there is no definite word on it actually being for G1 or PowerMaster Prime.
For all we know the pictured PM Prime in the pic is just a stand in, it might even come with it's own cab/robot section. The first pic we saw of their Grand Patriot was only of the robot, no alt-mode or trailer, those where revealed later.


Anyway, this looks interesting, but I'll wait for final images and actual information before I get too exited.

I hope that it is a Powermaster Prime redux - if ever a figure was crying out for a decent, modern toy without a gigantic head and stumpy arms, it is this one!

That has got to be a Powermaster Prime cab blurred out in the pic, complete with Powermaster engine on the front. Single wheel set on the back of the tractor (instead of the double axle as in G1); hands visible at the back of the cab.



Maybe it's an upgrade to Powermaster Prime with better articulation? Depending on the price, I might consider as I have Powermaster Prime.

On the other hand, maybe it's for G1 as Blurrz indicated. However, the trailer connection points for G1 and Powermaster Prime are vastly different.

It doesn't have the iconic guns that were on PM Prime's trailer, maybe it's a different take on PM Prime? Or maybe the guns weren't finished when they took the pic and I'm just over speculating.

soooo, which is it. is it a powermaster upgrade, an upgrade for classics optimus, or a trailer for masterpeice?

I'd wager it's for Classics OP. The image with MP-10 says they were just foolin around, and I figure the first teaser with the G1 Powermaster cab was just to let fans know what type of upgrade we're looking at.

I thought Xovergen was dead...

This may interest me if it's for Classics OP, but I also can't help but wonder what became of the upgrades for WFC Meg and OP. I was interested in that primarily so I could have a WFC Megatron that could hold weapons.

I'd been hoping FansProject would tackle Ginrai. If Xovergen pulls this off well I'll be all over this like Unicron on Lithone, 'cos Powermaster Prime was one of my faves back when I was a kid....

I just hope Xovergen has learned and upped their quality 1000%

I hope its for Classics Prime. I am currently watching the Masterforce cartoon (with English subtitles) and I would love a Classics Ginrai/Powermaster Prime. The Zeta Prime exclusive didn't look that great to me (and to expensive) so hopefully this will be better.

Personally,IMHO,It makes Zero sense to create 3rd party PMOP Trailer armor for the 1980's brick formers.

If I had my wish,this TF-01 PMOP Trailer Armor would be for the Takara MP-10 Convoy toy. or at the very least the classics 1.0 voyager optimus prime toy. or even ROTF HFTD voyager sized Optimus Prime.

I honestly don't want to see the 1984 optimus prime get transformed into a rubiks cube & placed inside the hollow torso section of the suit of armor trailer like the 1988 smaller truck cab/bot did. to me this would be cheating & look ridiculous.

I wanna see 3RD PARTY PMOP Trailer armor attached to MP-10 Convoy & for it to look in similar fashion to car robots Fire convoy. where the PMOP trailer breaks up into boots,forearms,back pack,waist plate. new head,new guns & so forth.

PLEASE let this be a Powermaster upgrade for Classics Voyager Prime! As someone else already mentioned, I too had been hoping Fansproject would tackle this concept, instead they repainted the City Commander set for pretty much any Classics Prime repaint one can dream of, but no love for Powermaster Prime. Come on, Xovergen, give me something badass and my money is yours.

I just took a more closer look at that pic in this thread on the front page. the optimus prime truck cab/bot attached to the trailerforce-01 is MASTERPIECE-10 CONVOY,SO THIS MOST LIKELY TRAILER ARMOR FOR MP-10 CONVOY.

Had this been trailerforce-01 trailer/armor for the 1984 optimus or the 1998 PMOP or the classics 1.0 optimus,then one of these would have been hooked up to the trailerforce-01. SINCE THEIR NOT & MP-10 CONVOY IS HOOKED UP TO TRAILERFORCE-01,THEN THIS TRAILER/ARMOR IS FOR mp-10 convoy.

Personally like I mentionec above in another reply. It makes zero sense to make super poseable trailer armor for the 1984 nor 1988 optimus toys,because those were brickformers,tiny toys & are not easy to find in stores & cost a lot on ebay for decent condition versions.

anyways FWIW,The arms & legs for 1984 or 1988 oprimus toys are too small & not articulated to be able to get trailer/armor hooked up to them in robot mode. the only way to get these outdated toys into a super poseable PMOP trailer/armor is to transform them into a rubicks cube & place that cube inside the robot torso of the trailer/armor. this was awful on the 1988 POMOP toy & will be more equally awful now.

like I said above,I just can't imagine the trailerforce-01 armor parts froming boots or forearms for neither 1984 optimus nor 1988 PMOP.
DUE to the small brick styled weirdly shaped arms & legs.

The only 2 ways I can imagine the trailerforce-01 Armor being used for the 1984 or 1988 optimus toys are as follows: (1) the rubiks cube scenario,where the truck cab folds up into a cube & gets placed into the torso of the suit of armor. (2) going the DOTM Ultimate optimus route,where the whole figure slips inside a trailer armor robot pretender shell type ordeal. sadly their will be no arms attraching to the armor as both 1984 & 1988 optimus arms are too tiny,brick-ish & weirdly shaped/designed. also similar to the takara MP Brave King Exkaiser & how the tiny sports car exkaiser gets placed in his pretender shell trailer armor for super robot mode.

I'm definitely interested.

Update: Turns out these are not form Xovergen, just some fan work.

Xovergen's recently announced TrailerForce TF-01 has been revealed via a series of computer renders over on HK-TF. As speculated, the trailer is indeed a Powerstyle upgrade for Classics Optimus Prime. Take a look at the images mirrored below.

Not sure how I feel about this yet, but I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on this.

LOL it's not just you, he looks just like the original powermaster fatimus prime.. talk about middle aged spread. Slightly disappointed with this, as I hoped the parts would build around the original figure, a la city commander.

Errrr, its not so much an upgrade as a whole other figure with a hole where you park truck mode Optimus. They could easily have filled that hole with a fake truck front leaving your Classic Optimus free to wear Fansproject's armour or do something useful (like the dishes).

Its a meh from me for the integration of Optimus but overall this thing has potential. Lets see how the finished item looks.

Misfire folks sorry! Apparently these renders are NOT for the Xovergen trailer, just some fan DIY fan work.

I think from this point out I'm just going to buy a six-pack of every major character released in Classics/Henkei/Universe/Generations just in case we get multiple different upgrades; this is, what, the FOURTH aftermarket trailer for Classics/Henkei Prime now (fifth if you count both Poered Commander and DIA Commander).

It doesn't seem quite as polished as City Commander, but it does look nice and bulky. The third party oroducs are beginning to put my investment in Trsnsformers close to my other expensive collecting love, Hot Toys, Sideshow and 3A 1:6 scale figures.

The fact that a sixth-scale Iron Monget from Hot Toys is going to cost less thaa at leasy one, possibly both of the non-Devastators on the way does give on a bit of pause.

Of course matter are not particularly helped that Takara's next actual Masterpiece figure is the uninspiring Emperor Starscrea set; I've been able to buy a cape, crowm amd sjpulder pads for my masterpiece Screamer for several years now if I wanted them, and HaTak still hasn;t done antyhing about the hip kibble iGear has fixed in their not-Sunstorm, not-Starscream, not-Thundercracker and not-Skywarp.

Perhaps it's time for HasTak to take a page fron their Star Wars, GI Joe and Marvel licenses and subcontract really nice figures to manufacturers that know how to cater to the adult fan.

In any case, unless the QC is horrible put me down for two (one for each mode) and I have to wonder when we'll see someone tackle some of the later Autobot and Decepticon leaders from Headmasters, Masterforce and Zone. I'm ready for my super-articulated Star Convoy, Super and Ultra Megatron, Star Saber and Overlord (though just screw Deathsaurus, m'kay?).

Me too, I don't want a trailer that connects to Classics or MP Prime, I want a true Classics Ginrai. Ginrai looked different and had a different transformation from Prime, so he deserves his own base figure too.

You have to admit that the base Ginrai body hardly transforms differently than Prime. He does but barely different. I'd accept something like what is being offered. Even the thing offered for the recent convention (the name escapes me) was close. Just not quite good enough. I'd like better and more. Namely, Hi-Q/Ginrai and the dual rifles. I like Classics/Henkei Prime enough that I'd certainly accept a kit built around that like City Commander. I still hold out hope that FansProject has this up their sleeve. They've yet to disappoint me with any of their offerings. If Sidearm was any indication, I couldn't see them overlooking the Master figure for something like this either. I'd probably gush about it until people told me to shut up.

I really hope this thing ends up looking decent and that it is for Henkei/Classics Prime (ToyArena still has them in stock, albeit for around $75). PM Prime is one of my all time favorite TF's from when I was a kid and I've been waiting a very long time for an updated version of him, so bring it on, just do it right pleeeeeeeaaaase .
