If you want G1 accuracy then you certainly don't want Soundwave turning into a boombox.

Boombox/tape deck, its all good just want him to transform into something from that B-Boy era. You remember RUN DMC, Adidas, rope chains, vintage 1985. G1 accuracy with a modern touch is always cool. I dont expect too much from Hasbro because they gotta keep the kiddies entertained to buy toys. But when I think 3rd party, G1 accuracy is a must. I dont shell out 100 bucks on a figure with an alt mode that loses its G1 appeal.

Agreed.
whacko wrote:Hmmm. I was hoping that they would have made the camera mode a little bit more realistic and less like it was made out of Lego.
LEGO??!! WTF? The only way I think this doesn't look realistic is in the colour (who wants boring black anyway?), and the flash which looks like it doubles as rocket pods.
I'm finding it hard to not just fill this comment with positive cursing. There's no way I could settle for the Generations Perceptor remold and not want to shoot myself in the foot everytime I looked at it. Instant pre-order.

LOST Cybertronian wrote:Very nice, I am guessing this to cost around $120-$150.
I'm thinking less. The Sundor/Eject/Rewind/Garboil pack has four slightly smaller figures and at least as many accessories, and it is selling for $85.
I'd hope for around that, it'd be a pretty good price. Of course I think PE would make a heap more sales if they could get the price down to about $70, but that's probably unrealistic.

And as for the "Lego" look- I believe that's just a digital image, and I'm sure the actual product will look different.

Ugh, thank god Hasbro DIDN'T make them. We'd probably get no 3rd party version OR any better version after they completely bomb it with the PCC iterations. Don't nay-say the ones delivering the real goods, we are all lucky to even have these being made.

Assuming not-Soundwave turns out well, I'd be happy to see them take-on ALL the designs that originated in Microman MicroChange, all the way through not-Perceptor/Magnificus and not-Browning (well, okay, they can leave off the ChoroQ originated minibots).

Hmm... maybe they will release a regular, and a high-end one with an actual camera built in. That would be cool.

the paint is a bit busy, it reminds me of Katoki's gundam designs with the block lettering all over and the picked out details. its not for everybody, but i feel like it fits with the classics style, especially classics Primary Prime.
examples for people not familiar with Gundam or Katokis style:http://www.google.com/images?q=gundam+fix+figuration&hl=en&safe=off&site=&prmd=ivns&source=lnms&tbs=isch:1&ei=XSUeTdWyFYiq8Abm0dnkDQ&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&sqi=2&ved=0CBgQ_AU&biw=1024&bih=462

I hope not, because Hasbro said that they were okay with 3rd party items as long as they dont pass the $100 mark.

Except the products that Igear offers routinely exceed the $100 mark.
