Last week we showed you PerfectEffect's modern renditions of Eject and Rewind as Ejector and Rewinder. Now the third party has updated their blogsite with new images of the mold for PE-03 Laser and PE-04 Buzzer. These will likely homage the colorschemes of Generation One Laserbeak and Buzzsaw. As much as I would love to have all these new versons of the Cassetticons, I'm afraid I'll have to pass. I blame my Shadow Warrior's quality control for this.

the only issue I found in my rumble/frenzy is that hip gun doesn't stay on well and its not really necessary.. a small detail especially when i keep the gun in the box

That Laserbeak/Buzzsaw design is pretty boring. If it does suffer from any QC issues, it'll be a tough sell.

Yeah, that's not exactly awe-inspiring. It's oddly large compared to the others too. Easy pass.
I wonder why they keep basing most of their products around FP's Shadow Commander?
...Hmm, maybe PE are behind the KO Shadow Commander? That would make sense.

Eject and Rewind look cool, but Laserbeak looks boring and he's too big.
Kinda looks like it could be a jetpack for a Voyager figure.

These look like crap.
I'm with you on that one. And if I find out they did do it, i'm gonna hurt 'em. My son destroyed my Shadow Commander while I was away on business & i'm catching hell finding another one. Got the new Nemesis Prime about a month ago, haven't found another S.C. for under $200 yet that's not fake.

I dunno. In my frenzy/rumble pack my rumble had 2 right arms. not that big of a deal i don't guess but kinda annoying considering how much the little guys cost. that much money I wouldn't expect that kind of mistake. anyway im kinda leary to purchase more from them. is there away to get a hold of them about that?

Yeah, WTF? Seriously, not only was it produced in 08, but it's not even their own add-on set. And it's already a very complete figure all on it's own. I don't get it.
And I still have a problem with these guys not really working with any version of Soundwave. You know, the guy the cassettes were actually associated with? At least Galaxy Force SW can hold Rumble and Frenzy, but why not actually design these guys with any Soundwave in mind?

Yeah, WTF? Seriously, not only was it produced in 08, but it's not even their own add-on set. And it's already a very complete figure all on it's own. I don't get it.

Actually I don't think it would. PE is more into their own thing and designs. I would suspect a KOmpany instead, like iGear perhaps...

I'm gonna go against the norm and say I actually am interested in these guys. I definitely need to see more pictures but a more modern version of Lazerbeak could find his way into my collection. The Ejector/Rewind mold is pretty cool too. Will look good with my Shadow Warrior.

On the fence with this one. The original Laserbeak perches perfectly on my classics Megatron's forearm without blocking the rest of Megatron, so that's tough to beat. Also, the Cybertron Buzzsaw/Laserbeak is another solid take on the original Laserbeak. This one needs to look less like jet and more like a bird. Also, do those wings even fold up?
I'm of the mind that I need to see what it changes into and how it can be used before I spend anything on it. Also, paint apps makes a difference.
