Further confirming that King Grimlock is a total rip-off.

Personally, I would like to see the other seekers before this. I'm still waiting for a Classics Sunstorm.

Clear -masterpeice Starscream? That thing will break after just a minutes of "play", seriously, normal masterpiece Starscream is already extremely fragile. I'm not saying I totally dislike the idea but at least make him in the correct colors, the first one looked like Zombie Starscream.
They should make Masterpiece G2 Megatron, that would be awesome.

3. this had better not be hasbro 2010 MP that they promised in the last Q&A (I'm really really hoping for black mp prime)
I don't have any clear TFs and would love one of these but dear god! I don't think I could justify another of this specific mold (as I have never bought a second of any mold to date)

My guess would have been between $70-$90.

Yeah the price sucks but considering Starscream is my favorite of all time, I might consider buying this one if it is a general release that is not tooo hard to get.

He won't be hard to get in the least, you can pre-order him right now and have six months to save up the money.

all the MP seekers have been at least $100. I'm not surprised(and in fact, happy) by the price. very much looking forward to this. Also, I don't know who the heavy hands are that transform their MP seekers, but I've never thought they were very fragile. I've transformed them lots of times with no problems.

The only thing that has ever broken on me is one of the tail fins of MP 06, right where it folds up. Its such a thin strip of plastic that it easily snapped, and the ironic part is that the same piece broke on my Classics Skywarp, even on the same side.

Agreed. Considering deluxe ghost Starscream was like 80 or 90 bucks, $130 for the MP version is quite reasonable IMO. I actually kinda feared a release of this figure because I knew I would want it, but thought it would run King Grimlock prices or worse...

It is a bit annoying that the latest Masterpieces are all repaints. I really hope TakaraTomy use the cash from Comic Grimlock, Black Convoy and Ghost Starscream to fund some brand new Masterpiece figures. Hoping for Galvatron, Rodimus Prime and Soundwave.

I definitely agree. It's great to get variations of existing molds but at the same time, I'd like to see more advancement in the Masterpiece line.

I just put in my preorder! I missed MP because I wasn't that into collecting again when he came out. Then Walmart didn't get the US repaint when it came out. I am really happy to see another MP Starscream.

I was surprised with the price on this guy as well. When the rumors of this first hit, I figured he would be going for the same price as King Grimlock. While I am not happy about dropping $150, I can still afford it.

Could be, but I am assuming it will be a US release if MP Grimlock. IIRC someone from Hasbro even said as much.

Since when did "Masterpiece" come to mean "One episode special deco"

Masterpiece should define the character, not be a slave to its various new hats.

You know, I said the same thing when I first saw this. I then thought to myself, "I missed out on SS when he was released in Japan and the US. I am going to go ahead and preorder it."

Last year at this time I would have said "I don't need a clear version of Starscream." Then I met CP in person and he proclaimed his love of clear figures like Mirage and Starscream (if they have a reason to be clear). Now I love clear figures too.

Starscream is clear and big. I like it.

I definitely see your point, even though I'm really looking forward to this figure. I have a feeling, since this is one of the few MP molds that can be repainted a lot, that they are going to repaint the shit out of it. We've already had 5 different versions of this one, what's a 6th? and still waiting on MP Sunstorm, cos that would be the shit

I don't think I will be getting this one. The MPs I really want are Sunstorm and the Rainmakers. That's all.

I thought that this was a 'joke' and not a true release. Unless I'm missing something?

Basic story is that the Singapore store leaked the item too soon, catching flak from Hasbro and Takara. They had to retract it with some BS story. I don't know if now is the intended release infor for the figure, or if Hasbro/TT decided to speed up the schedule due to the leak.
