Gosh dangit.
Looks like I can't have both Acid Storm and Soundwave. Both characters I like... Sour grapes.

I will get for sure soundwave, but metroplex I dunno, I wish they would have made him more fall of cybertron instead G1 look.

weird.
Better materials, more parts (unconfirmed), all 5 cassettes... all adds up to more labour and assembly costs.

Now *that* would be a disaster, especially for all non-US fans. Given the shipping costs and having to hunt it down on the secondary market then...*shudders*
We'll see.

Just grab the Takara version, there's enough Asia-based western oriented online stores that make it easy to do so.

I hate hunting for these things in the stores. Will Metroplex be available for pre-order anywhere?

1) Why is everyone complaining about Soundwaves price?? You're getting SIX MASTERPIECE Transformers for goodness sakes! Not to mention, add the cost of all those up from Takara and see what total you get... Kinda reminds me of a saying my dad would use involving a new rope and complaining.
2) Metroplex... $99 or $125...what does it matter?? It's a 2 foot tall Transformer!!
3) My only question... Maybe someone has some insight or specualtion...What the heck is..
Prime 16'' Figure SKU038183 - $29.99??
At first I thought it might be Predaking Leader Class, but then realized the OP Leader is $59...Any thoughts??

Plat. Ed. Ultra Magnus aka Platinum Edition Ultra Magnus......none of the the Platinum figs are retail releases and I hate that. The price is even worse. $69.99 for a remold of Weaponizer Optimus Prime.
Seriously, why does hasbro do this stuff.

I agress whole heartedly about the Platinum figs...Well this round anyways...I will say this though...I was taken aback that it was listed under TRU. Previous Plat. Figs were not available through TRU. Made me wonder if this is a Canadian thing or Hasbro trying to branch out "for collectors." If that's the case, thanks for listening to us Hasbro, but you're still kinda hitting and missing with us collectors. Feel free to hire me as a consultant

Must be Canada only as they also got Yaer of the Dragon Optimus at retail, whereas we in the US had to go through online shops and pay shipping. I'll take brick and mortar over paying shipping anyday. When I can find figs I want in store and I have the money to get them, they are bought on sight.
I understand Hasbro wants to branch out to areas they normally don't but that's no excuse for making figures only they can buy at retail and we can't.

Lucky bastards.
We're probably going to pay close to 250 euro's for the
thing here in Euro country. That's 324 dollars.
Ebay scalper scumbags are going to have a field day just as
with Hasbro MP Optimus.
Hopefully he'll be out in the UK, I'll just get a planeticket
will be cheaper then ship it from the US.

Not to mention Soundwave is geared towards collectors over kids, which allows for a higher price...

99 bucks is a screamin deal. I foresee it getting a little more expensive though. The actual tag on the shelf will be in the 125 range. They like to gouge us Canadians.
Plus tax.

Anyway, I'm guessing it's not been confirmed yet, but I'd reckon it'll probably be a TRU exclusive, given their being the only retailer to really take on these large-price, large-size items in the past. If so, it does mean more chance of getting it in the UK, but I really don't want to risk it, so would love it if the toy was available through some online retailers. Otherwise, I might have to get one of you guys to grab me one.

When Robocop references go wrong
Back on topic, Target and Kmart have known to range larger /import figures in the past, so perhaps we may see Metroplex through them also. Considering that they sel other toys dearer than $99, who knows if they'll range it or not.
