If you wanted more explosions, more wreckage, and more robots fighting mano a mano, well there's no doubt that you're going to see all of this in Transformers 3. Our in-depth exclusive look at the set of Transformers 3 in Chicago continues with video segments that we like to call 'Bayhem'. You might ask yourself, what would happen if gigantic alien robots ripped through Chicago's Magnificent Mile? This ain't CGI, no these props are real, and the populace of Chicago were treated to Michael Bay's personal style of destruction. If you thought the first two movies were filled to the brink with destruction, you'll see with these videos that Michael Bay still has tons of ammo left up his sleeves!

Wacker Drive in Chicago, Illinois. A peaceful main street in the city's downtown, full of stunning architecture and the hustle of business people. Well, it was peaceful until Michael Bay and company showed up. Right by the river, Wacker Drive is now littered with props of destruction, and full of the busy filming crew of Transformers 3. In the following videos you'll witness that making a movie isn't as simple as it seems. Helicopters, Lighting Trucks, and crew galore were hard at work yesterday. Check out Wacker Drive, post-Michael Bay below!

After Optimus Prime and the Autobots annihilated much of the Decepticon forces in Revenge of the Fallen, it was only inevitable for some new and evil faces to show up in Transformers 3. Our coverage from Downtown Chicago continues, as we've got an in-depth look at the Stunticons. This group is comprised of three Nascars, all tuned out and tricked out with machine guns, rockets, speed boosters and gadgets. There's the Red Nascar 42, homaging Juan Montoya, the Blue Nascar 48, homaging Jimmie Johnson, and the Green/White Nascar 88, homaging Dale Earnhardt Jr. What you'll be seeing in the following videos is the Stunticons, up close and driving fast in action!

Really looking forward to the film now and can't wait for the crew to hit DC. If I can't make it as an extra, I will certainly have my 4-year-old son with me to catch glimpses of the action. Chase on the National Mall should be killer.

One more Transformer to add to my list of Possible Transformers that might be the "Stunticons":
Here is the current holders;

*Mirage
*Hot Shot
*Smokescreen

Now, the final guesser is....

*REFLECTOR

"WHAT???" You might ask? Well, think of it; the NASCARs are of similar colors of the three components of Reflector, toy-wise speaking, so it's very possible that these cars are Reflector. Who knows, their robot modes might even look G1-esque.

Im no fan of NASCAR but I love the original Stunticons ill have to pick up the figures for these guys when they come out. I hope they dont pull any monkey business like they did with the motorcycle triplets in the last film. (a secret combiner form that is mysteriously scrapped or a repaint that comes out a year too late and in the wrong color)

I wouldn't be surprised if that Red Ferrari turns out to be a reformatted Sideswipe.

As for the Stunticons - I hope they name 'em either Drag Strip, Dead End, Breakdown, or Wildrider (sorry, Motormaster is still a truck in my mind).

It's funny I was more excited to see the camera equipment then the cars...LOL Must be a filming thing. I was drooling over that Dolly Rig they have set up on that car, I dont know if it's automated or manual control with a cockpit retrofitted on the roof. That lighting truck is knarly too, I'd be so nervous setting that thing up that high in "The Windy City" XD I wonder if they had the "Bay Buster" on set, or if they plan on filming a majority of the explosions and crashes on a closed set whilst capturing the gist of the after math and car chases here in Chicago.

The Nascar Death Race cars are fun. My faves are #42 and 88, I wonder if their respective drivers will make cameos via their holographic selves. I'm glad they gave them these half way battle ready transformation modes and that Bay has got over his phobia of "Doing more Car chase scenes."

What I would luv to see is a Formula 1 car Decepticon, that would just be so much fun. Especially if these are the "Stunticons".

-Josh

P.S. My favorite picture is the random arm at the end, I'm assuming thats Bay's arm? LOL

Gotta wonder the toys are gonna be like for the Stunticons. If the car modes are already armed to the teeth, how are the robots gonna be weapon-wise? And is Hasbro gonna cheap out again and make them all repaints?

Barricade never died, only in comics and books.

Glad these aren't true to the Stunticons, so we can have these, rename them, and them custom make movie style combining actual Stunticons!
I really like where the movie's going, machine gun cars are pretty awesome.

I love Prime's trailer. I just hope it has some function in the story and it's not just a prop. Roller maybe? I really hope... or it could serve to transport the NEST people...

The Ferrari is just amazing. Can't wait to see him in robot mode... who could it be?

The Nascar cars... amazing. I really like them. I don't know why people say they are autobots... they have the evil look of a decepticon LOL

I'm very intrigued about the mercedes... it's a transformer too or what? maybe it's just a human vehicle. What bothers me the most is the Germany plate... Maybe it is an autobot who landed in germany and scanned a car there and then, somehow, reunited with the rest of the autobots

The Stunticons look awesome, I wonder if the inclusion of Prime's trailer means he'll just use it to transport troops or if it combined ala the concept art for ROTF?

The Transformers 3 production filmed in Chicago's famous Loop last weekend, then at Milwaukee's Art Institute earlier this week, and is now back on Chicago's magnificent mile in front of the beautiful Wrigley building and on the Michigan Ave bridge across the Chicago river. I wasn't able to get as close to the action as I was last weekend so the video quality looks even more amateurish than normal. Pictures will be posted soon! In the meantime, here are some new videos which I uploaded to our Facebook page at http://facebook.seibertron.com.

The trailer looks kinda bland tho, it's just a box, in that way, it's TOO G1 if there ever was such a thing ;)

What am I expecting tho? Power Master Optimus Prime with like, the Godmaster extended trailer? Well maybe I am! It's over the top, just what the Bay movies demand, maybe the trailer transforms into something elaborate? If so, it'll certainly transform ELABORATELY! ;)

Great photos for night-time! Thanks!

Wut? Modern box trailer = G1?

I'm pretty sure most trailers look like that (to state the obvious) aside it's shininess. And Michael Bay seems to be convinced that his movies are still "realistic" so I doubt he'd be doing anything outrageous, as much as it would suit the rest of the movie.

And it's just a trailer. Heck we just saw prime rolling out without it just now. So chances are, it's been tipped over and Prime left it behind, or it got blown up. Either way, it's not going to have any greater role than carrying stuff around.

I've wondered the same thing unless Ford doesn't want it to be featured in a movie with a bunch of GM products? There has to be some reason why he wasn't in the last movie and that no one has seen night or day of him here in Chicago with the other cars.

Fellow Seibertronian, Ryan Froneyberger (froneyzone), has provided us with some new pictures and video from Saturday's Transformers 3 filming action in Chicago on Michigan Avenue.

froneyzone wrote:I'm kind-of "geeking out" about these. I saw this early Friday morning and couldn't really tell what it was all about. Nothing came out of the semi-trailer and nothing went into it (that I saw) - it just showed up...sat for a few minutes and made a turn...while they were filming.

If you notice under the number 98...it has NEST printed on it! Could this be the NEST moving headquarters...or better yet (and this is where I started "geeking out") Ultra Magnus!!! That would be so AWESOME!!!!!!!! Or maybe it's just another one of Michael Bay's cruel jokes on us fanboys!

Hmm, could be ultra magnus, could be just a truck they use to carry characters, like in ROTF they used a truck that carried the three bikes didn't they? or maybe it was troops on quad bikes? i don't think we should get our hopes up until we get solid evidence or confirmation! :-?

On a sidenote, has anyone seen jolt on location? i hope they dont exclude him from the film, with all these characters that they won't be bringing back i hope they have explanations for it rather then just not mention them (chromia, jolt?, wheelie, skids/mudflap) i know we saw pictures of what's believed to be new alt modes for the twins and nothing else since so they might be in a scene or two and thats it, but i can see them not even being mentioned, would be simple, could say that NEST sent all them on a mission elsewhere, or that the main autobots in this one have been specially selected for the missions in hand, or just simply say they all went back to help on cybertron! That's the main problem i have with these michael bay films, the plot holes and when characters simply dissapear never to be seen again (i'm looking at you barricade and wheelie) but i'm happy as long as there's big robot fights :D

because if hes a leader toy with his trailer it would be expensive as hell.

i hope OP and megatron both just get voyager releases..........just make prime an ultra class to have his trailer in the box with him

Maybe the old chicken farmer is supplying some cars for the movie.
