Big thanks to our friend Captain N for letting us know that Shout! Factory has listed a new Transformers Generation DVD, Roar of the Dinobots. The DVD features six classics Dinobot adventures from Sunbow Productions original Transformers cartoon series. The DVD will release on July 8th with a $9.99 price point. Can't see where it says which six, so I'll go out on a limb and guess:

S.O.S. Dinobots
War of the Dinobots
Dinobot Island 1 & 2
Desertion of the Dinobots 1 & 2


Unless they're counting the 2-parters as one "adventure" each and cramming 8 eps on there (unlikely as that is), in which case I'd guess Grimlock's new Brain and Call of the Primitives as well.

Hooray for more impulse-buy DVDs! Great for anyone without access to Youtube or Netflix who's either on the fence about springing for the box sets or doesn't know they exist.

No, seriously, it does my heart good to see DVDs like this in stores, because it takes me back to the FHE and Rhino days when it was a huge deal to see any random episodes crammed together on a tape.

I've already ordered my copy of the Transformers: Roar of the Dinobots DVD from Amazon.com, less than three hours ago. :D
