The next series that he will be working on will be called "Maximum Dinobots". Furman has expanded on what this series will entail, be warned as the following few paragraghs contain spoilers, not only for the series but also for Spotlight: Grimlock:
my next IDW/Transformers series after the Revelation quartet of Spotlights will be… Maximum Dinobots! Spotlight Grimlock sets the scene and Max Dinos is the payoff, the long awaited, fully fledged modern day debut of the Dinobots (last seen in any functional form in Spotlight Shockwave).
But it’s far from a happy reunion, and out to spoil the party further is Scorponok and his Machination/Headmaster army. But that’s not all. For the Grimlock and the Dinobots there’s worse to come. Much worse. If it’s all-out battle action you’re after, look no further!
As yet no artist or release details have been released, but stay tuned to Seibertron.com for more news as it comes.

Am I the only one here who thinks Furman is beating a dead horse with the Dinobots?
I don't suppose we're getting any new insights to the characters this time around. Like, maybe someone could finally explain why a character like Grimlock, who despises those weaker than him, takes the side that defends us supposed inferior beings. Heck, any characterization at all aside from the usual "Me Grimlock, badass" drivel would be nice.

I'm thinking the best we can hope fore is that Grimlock has a major grudge with Megs and his upper echelon.
That said, some particular motivations would be an excellent idea
Why Sludge runs on windows ME... er... is 8-bits of fragmented stupid
Why Swoop actually works with the dinobots (ie relatively smart and more autobot sized/excepted pre-dino alt)
Why Snarl is such a loner... (and the only one who thinks green)
Why Slag listens to Grimlock, and only Grimlock
A Dinobots origins story could flow from the gladiator arena of Megatron's origin story and a little beyond the start of the Decepticon forces.
